Facebook #AuthorChat! Cody talks about Tharros, the sequel to Omorphi, on Bike Book Reviews! Sat 8/15 5pm EST

Join me on Saturday, August 15th at 5pm EST with Bike Book Reviews for a live author chat!

I talk about Tharros, the sequel to Omorphi, and.... See you there!

Thárros. Greek. Meaning courage
Courage. n. /ˈkərij/
1. The ability to do something that frightens one.
2. Strength in the face of fear, pain, or grief.

High school senior Michael Sattler leads a charmed life. He’s a star athlete, has great friends, and parents who love him just the way he is. Michael meets Christy Castle at school and his life has changed in ways he never imagined. Christy is Michael’s dream guy: smart, pretty, and sexy. But nothing prepared Michael for what being Christy's boyfriend would entail.

Christy needs to heal after years of abuse and knows he needs help to do it. He’s left his native Greece and settled in upstate New York. Alone, afraid, and left without a voice, Christy hides the myriad scars of his abuse. He desperately wants to be loved and when he meets Michael, he knows that day has arrived. Michael has saved him from a past abuser who kidnapped him, yet his past continues to haunt them in perilous ways. When the prosecution of Yosef Sanna begins, threats move from theory to reality and only Michael and Christy's combined strength and determination can save them from the very real danger that threatens to destroy their future together.Read an excerpt of Tharros.

Timmy's Review of John Goode's Lords of Arcadia Series: Distant Rumblings, Eye of the Storm, & Unseen Tempest

The Lords of Arcadia series is a different genre from what I’m used to reading from Mr. Goode. I wasn’t sure at first if it was for me because it was a fantasy series, but I was so shown otherwise. I think that was because the series wasn’t what I had expected and it threw me off. That goes to show me I should never start a new series with preconceived ideas of what I would find. So let me just say… this series is not Foster High and is not even remotely similar to the Foster High series, but...

Timmy's Review of At the Lake by Geoff Laughton

This was a bit of a light read. In a way, that’s a good thing, but also not such a good thing. Let me explain. One way I know I’m invested in the characters is by “feeling” their emotions. And, if I’m emotionally invested in characters, I normally find I enjoy the read more. On the other hand, if I’m not too deeply emotionally sucked in, I get a nice break from crazy roller coaster of emotions a deep read will put me through. If the story is a light read, then the story needs to be stellar to...

Get Your #illGoWithYou Button! An Ally Project

#IllGoWithYou allies go into bathrooms and other spaces with transgender people who may be afraid or concerned about their safety. An #IllGoWithYou ally offers support, buffering, and nonviolent assistance when asked.
What is this idea?
We, the organizers, are part of the queer community. And while we can generally “pass” enough to avoid comment in gendered spaces, not all members of our community can do so, want to do so, or are confident in their ability to do so. This threatens the safety of...
