The National Anthem
I went to a Chicago Blackhawks game last week, and a tradition at the United Center is to applause and cheer throughout the National Anthem. I think it’s a great tradition and carried it on.
I consider myself a patriot, in so much as I do care deeply about the United States, which is to say, the people, not the government. The United States is a group of people who live together with the same rules, or at least are supposed to have the same rules. I find what benefits us all, will benefit myself, and such I am patriotic in that I want what is best for us all. Of course, my perception of what is best may not be what you perceive as best. Nonetheless, somethings are reconcilable and somethings are not.
My posts throughout these forums have been focused primarily on Trump since 2016, as I have found him to be a clear and present danger to what is best for this nation, the likes of which I haven’t seen in my lifetime.
Now with that being said, considering what the national anthem has become at sporting events, I no longer have the same respect for the national anthem and the requirement by some that it must be respected, or the flag must be respected, at all costs. These two things are symbols and these symbols have different meanings for us all. To me, the symbol seems to mean something else. It is becoming for some, a patriot test, and I feel no need to answer to anyone about my patriotism. I have no desire to partake in any patriot test, if anyone thinks that I must obey this whim, in that kneeling during a national anthem must mean they are not a patriot, then I don’t think I want to stand anymore.
I don’t take Patriot tests, my actions and my sentiment presented here speak for itself. I have provided caring, empathetic analysis for those who may or may not have the same advantages I have, for those who if they did, the United States might be a greater place, and if I can fight for a greater United States, I am too fighting for a greater home for myself. But when something begins to become a patriot test in the mind of others, it has gone too far in the mind of others and it is not something I’m going to play. It is far beneath me to take a Patriot test as far as I’m concerned. I know where I stand and people who hold that test in their eye, well, perhaps they need a reality check.

A Retreat for the Mind
Amidst chaos and other things, sometimes my mind drifts away as a way to cope.
There is a memory of an imagined time and place in my mind, one that has been with me for many years. I may have formed it while reading something, but nonetheless it has become a source of peace and beauty inside, when it is conjured from the recesses of my mind.
It is 70-80 years ago, on a country farm, in late summer. There’s something bittersweet about late summer, a last call for a glass of ic…e lemonade, the ritualistic sounds of the cicada, reminding me of the same summer song heard yearly.
A gentle breeze, a settling sun, a pink sky, the heat of August is over – beset by the crispness of the looming autumn to come. A last time to explore, to camp, to walk through a shallow creek barefoot maybe. There’s a large Oak Tree outside the backdoors white painted, wood porch – which faces the setting sun. A swing dangles gently in the breeze. A lush lawn of green grass ends just over a slight roll of a hill the home rests on. That is the beginning of an endless field, a field without fences. The calmness, the serenity, the memories of the summer as well as the prior summer are summoned.
A time without commercializations, a time without TV’s or a myriad of fads, a time with no care, a time of inner peace, a time to be lazy and notably, a time of reflection.
“There was a time when meadow, grove, and stream,
The earth, and every common sight,
To me did seem
Apparelled in celestial light,
The glory and the freshness of a dream. ”
-Walt Whitman
Maybe that imagined place can be yours now as well, a place to ponder and to enjoy within your imagination, to visit when times are harsh and unforgiving. I hope I packaged this gift nicely for you to take to heart, to understand, to help heal, to fight.

In Defense of a Nation
My fellow humans, I must apologize for the emotionalism of many of the Americans you see online in social media, or by certain media personalities defense of Trump.
A large part of the country has been going through an emotional tantrum rooted from their anger. What has become of them have been nothing but emotional compulsory outbursts devoid of intellectual integrity, aside from rare possible glimpses of what may have been their former selves. You will see and have seen in this forum on a regular basis, emotional outburst after emotional outburst, whether it be a response, or a new topic, they are usually devoid of any coherent reason as to why they are having an emotional outburst. On display currently, you can and will see that they are angry and have let anger take over them, perhaps years ago, and this has reduced them to trolls and anti intellectual emotionalism.
There is no reasoning with unreasonable people, there is only a way to emotionally connect with these emotional thinkers. Donald Trump does that for them. He satisfies their desire to validate their anger. He is the representation of their anger that has built up and culminated to a point where they have begun to present apologist arguments in defense of the likes of Nazism as long as it is compared to what they have been directed to become angry at. That being, anyone who is a reasonable person, those who are critics of Trump’s wild and reckless behavior, critics of his mind numbing stupidity and own blatant emotionalism. He is them, he is their anger and that is all he actually represents.
Their anger was built on many things, but first it was built on ignorance and their own failure to comprehend complex matters. It was built on their own failure to navigate through an ever changing economy, their own failure to plan accordingly for the future, their own failure to understand human nature and the necessity of love, particularly for the strength of a nation. It was built on their own failure to prepare for our culture that has and will continue to change, and it was built on their own failure to understand that their anger and emotional outbursts are not going to solve their problem, it is just going to exasperate it.
They are sustained by only propaganda that directs their attention to things they must hate, because they are scared inside. They are scared because of their failures above, and have nothing left but anger to react emotionally, which leads to them electing the most unreasonable, emotional blithering fool our nation has ever seen step into the white house.
You will not see well reasoned thought come from them, you will see trollish anger that boils over into hate often. We can see that anger and hate lead the nation nowhere, the President is stuck in a routine of failure, because emotionalism is not a way to understand complex geo political issues, let alone complex internal issues. It is apparent to me that this huge emotional outburst that you see here and see in our president, is the death throes of a dead, hateful ideology that has risen from their own ineptitudes. For that, I am sorry, as these death throes will last some time, but it will die eventually. As these death throes can reverberate, it can do a lot of damage for us all, but there are still a majority of reasonable people in this nation. Please bear with us through this reckless time, our nation will be back after we vomit out the dying that are aforementioned.
Thank you for your understanding.

Nazis.
This past Saturday, a woman was killed for standing up against Nazis. The same day, the President blamed those who stood up against the Nazis, as well as the Nazis.
The problem is that Trump sees a Nazi rally happening and says nothing, then when violence breaks out blames “many sides”.
Compare that to blaming “many sides” when Nazi Germans invaded France and Poland. Compare that to blaming “many sides” when the Tsarnaevs bombed the Boston marathon, or when any other evil that must be opposed, opposition too gets equal blame.
The energy granted from Trumps campaign to Nazis has grown the movement, it is now a “thing” among the up and coming generation to spread Nazi like hate. It is all over the internet, in unprecedented levels in our lifetime, among a frenzied misdirected youth. These are dark times, and even darker when it goes by and doesn’t get called out by our leadership. At least some leaders have called it out for what it is, but many more are trying to rationalize away the refusal to push the blame squarely on Nazis. I do not recognize the nation I grew up in, I don’t know how those whose family fought against Nazi Germany can either.
This apology is too late and possibly signals to the nazi groups that Trump is doing this because of pressure, which can continue to embolden them.

Trump is Mentally Abusing the Nation
Propaganda has made a comeback in the United States in the advent of the Internet. Partially to blame is the internet itself, which provides the ability for illegitimate, uneducated wanna be journalists to present information in an extremely biased nature, changing the facts slightly to make the outcome seem more insidious. We are living in a golden age of propaganda in the United States and it is unfortunately that a large quantity, in at least the 10’s of millions of people it seems have fallen prey to it. Trump has risen to power through it, with pushing fake facts that Trump was born in Kenya which gained notoriety in the political arena, a case can be made that this notoriety and popularity led him to eventually feel capable of legitimately running for President, due to a large swathe of support on his Twitter account that numbered in the millions.
Another item that has been coming up a lot lately is the term gaslighting. Gaslighting can be defined as a form of mental abuse in which information is twisted or spun, selectively omitted to favor the abuser, or false information is presented with the intent of making victims doubt their own memory, perception, and sanity.
Today we see a combined effort of pushing conspiracy theories, propaganda and gaslighting by the Trump administration on an unprecedented level.
In the book “Propaganda: The Formation of Men’s Attitudes:” Jacques Ellul wrote the following:
“Direct propaganda, aimed at modifying opinions and attitudes, must be preceded by propaganda that is sociological in character, slow, general, seeking to create a climate, an atmosphere of favorable preliminary attitudes. No direct propaganda can be effective without pre-propaganda, which, without direct or noticeable aggression, is limited to creating ambiguities, reducing prejudices, and spreading images, apparently without purpose.”
Trump and team have set up the pre-propaganda over the course of years, initially getting support with pushing a conspiracy theory about Barack Obama, he pushed more conspiracy theories as a way to relieve pressure was on him in the White House. While talks of illegitimacy filled the air in his first week in office, Trump wishing to propose that he has some sort of mandate even though he lost the popular vote, Trump pushed against it by bizarrely claiming millions of illegals voted, which would be the only reason why he lost the popular vote. Of course, this is sad and pathetic to any reasonable human being, but the propaganda was already set up for him. Weird right wing media sites are already aplenty and have been hounding for years how illegals are voting, despite millions of dollars of studies proving any such theory false. Trump proceeded, without evidence, to make the claim due to his insecurities. He was ridiculed, rightly so, and of course also believed wholly, by what is now recognized as his cult-like base, whom he already reckoned would not leave him even if he murdered someone in cold blood. They too, have been exposed to pre-propaganda to allow them to follow along in a conspiracy theory, despite all reasonable facts tot he contrary.
There has been for a long time a distrust in the media in right wing circles, due to not having their side viewed in a favorable light in their perception, which seems to be a product of the propaganda they have been fed through a decade of internet, social media sharing and drop out journalists with no standards of actually reporting news, but gaining attention by making outrageous claims that garner “clicks” and as such, ad revenue. These types of websites of course, led Trump to believe Obama was born in Kenya, or that millions of illegals voted against him, or that Obama tapped Trump tower when pressure on him was coming down from the Michael Flynn fall out. The conspiracy theories were propped up by fake news and terrible journalists who made up lies, spun stories and weaved tangled webs that one could only believed if they made up more conspiracy theories. Hillary Clinton was “bribed” by Russia, by whomever, various claims of some possibly true, some probably true, and many nowhere near true stories have been made up. The Trump cult has believed them all and push them all at a dizzying rate, millions of shares and millions of voters illusioned by pure propaganda, half truths as such, polarizing them, creating and breeding hate and distrust for every institution in power, because they couldn’t understand why she was not in jail. More conspiracy theories were formed to justify their increasingly delirious perception, deep state was at play, Hillary was protected. Of course, Trump ran on this madness as well, with “lock her up” being a key theme. Considering Trump isn’t the law as President, it was bluster and fecal matter that was being shot out, and “lock her up” quickly died on his agenda, as he had more important things to deal with, such as defending himself from the onslaught of news about Russia involvement, which he did not like.
The propaganda and conspiracy theories have most recently, taken a turn for the worse. No longer are conspiracy theories promoted as truth from Trump and his fervent supporters, but now they are being directly gaslighted by Trump, themselves and the propaganda machine. The entire story of Russia and their favor towards Trump was denied from the beginning, yet we see that the Trump team has known of their involvement from the beginning, as it was Trump Jr. who was first proposed to receive assistance from a “Russian government lawyer” to provide damaging information on Hillary, as part of the support of “the Russian Government”, per the emails he received and released publicly. This led us to the important revelation, that not only was this story not able to be considered a hoax or a witch hunt by all reasonable means as Trump pounded incessantly , which it was not, it was from the beginning an investigation from the beginning to see if there was a deeper connection and or to prevent the situation from occurring again, but it also showed that the Trump team had been lying about thinking Russia was not involved. They knew better and they knew before anyone outside of the government, it seems. The lies that followed a year were finally blown apart by this revelation that Trump Jr and the top echelon of Trumps staff knew all along, and really, there is no reason to think Trump didn’t know either. He is a con, after all and his son and son in law, Kushner, would have done a great disservice by not telling him, in confidence.
Yet after we know they know, Trump continues to call it a hoax. He called the Russian government operative just merely a lawyer, when the emails themselves explained the connection to the Russian government, their favor towards Trump. This is gaslighting, it is mental abuse, and his supporters have taken the bait once again it seems. Denying reality, they pretend the story is a hoax, even though the investigation is not just about Trump, there is something greater at stake, protecting the elections from further intervention. The followers fall prey to myopic tunnel vision of protecting their holy leader of the cult, forsaking patriotism and duty to protect the nation from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
Trump’s conning ways, such as creating a fake university that scammed millions of dollars from people and spouting ignorant conspiracy theories coming off the top of his head, not thinking pretending to be smart, is exactly what shows that the US has become for a large minority. A nation who supports con artists, the voters showed support of an idiot who pretended he knew more than generals about ISIS, while proving he knew nothing. Trump showed America that an undisciplined conniving buffoon can make it to the top, lie to us all, gaslight us all, and still, people will fall victim to his abuse and lay down and think he is right. It is a shame on this nation and the people who support him thoroughly, they are not only enemies of this nation, they are enemies of themselves, of the world, of truth, justice, intelligence and all that one should hold dear.

Trump the Doomed
Trump continues to divide the country further, acting like a juvenile twit. He continues to push his fervent base into a frenzy of anti media, anti criticism, presenting further his continued desire to lash out at anyone who doesn’t present him in a perfect light, of which of course is far from warranted.
A phrase comes to mind, “weaponizing distrust”, however it doesn’t go anywhere. In the beginning Trump waged a war he couldn’t win. The only victory is for those who only believe any words that he says and not reality, which there is no way to avoid that victory, considering cult is far from able to achieve disillusionment.
When only positive news is able to be allowed from the Trump administration, Trump and team must somehow not understand when things go wrong, when investigations occur, when talks of obstruction of justice, impeachment mount. It must not make sense to those who only wish to somehow believe the words of Trump and the completely out of line propaganda machine the likes of Breitbart, Milo, and the rest of the Alt-Reich deviants push forward for their 15 minutes of fame.
It’s not a surprise that one of the wealthiest, most powerful man in the history of the world, the one in control of the most powerful nation can never seem to be happy in life. He is constantly exposing his insecurities and unhappiness by projecting and attacking others. “A man who is not afraid is not aggressive”. Knowledge, discipline, calmness, peace… these things are what truly is power, these things are none of what Trump can ever possess,. This reason is why I see him as a sad, doomed man, forever unable to achieve what he desires most, because he is so far gone, he forgot what it is he desires, but seems to grasp at ways to get some semblance of it. All the while, failing, living ignorantly and weakly, a weird paradox of being at the top and at the bottom all at once.

Epidemic Propaganda
There’s a Facebook post currently going around, its being shared thousands of times. This is how fake news and propaganda is spread to the masses. We will have millions of people believing in the lies below. This is no different than the weird propaganda and lies that led to Trump being elected, as it was being pushed in epidemic proportions pushed to the masses the past decade by satisfying preconceived notions.
My annotations of true/false are next to it. When I state false, it doesn’t mean that the opposite is true either, just that it is not known.
The post is titled, “The top 10 things we learned today:”
1. Trump was never under investigation. – True
2. Trump did not obstruct justice. – False
3. Trump did not collude with Russia. – False
4. Russia did not alter the election outcome. – False
5. Comey leaked his own memo. – True
6. Loretta Lynch pressured Comey to cover for Hillary Clinton. – Half Truth
7. There was ample evidence to put Hillary in jail but Comey chose not to pursue it. – False
8. CNN and other fake news outlets have been lying / making things up this entire time. – False
9. The Democratic Party no longer has the ability to scream “RUSSIA” every time Trump tries to do something. – False
10. The Russia story is dead – any democrat who continue to push it will look foolish and insane to the American people. – False
This post was a speedy way to disseminate propaganda to the masses, with no real credible source, just weird facebook pages and weird biased “pundits” with large followers who post propaganda all day.
So it continues, No change on the direction we have been heading, a continual divisive split of partisan madness in which the morality at the highest level has crumbled and that crumbled morality has trickled down to the citizens of the United States. It’s only right if I do it, wrong if you do it.
The weird way in which bias has consumed the nation, continues to lead us into the downward spiral postulated decades ago, in which we see the more defined effect today, that the United States has lost grip on its position as global leader.
The people have succumbed to believe whatever truth they want to believe and the propagandists take full advantage. Those in Congress surely understand this and feed off the pulse of the people, because ultimately it is only we who would hold our government accountable. When enough people have an idea of what the government is doing that is shrouded in lies, there is no holding anything accountable.
In any case, it seems we are headed to know what the truth is regardless of the propaganda and Mueller’s investigation will lead us there.
Overall, today was another damning indication of the madness of the administration that lead people to propagate such lies. Today, Trump denied everything Comey said, that he never asked for loyalty, never asked about Flynn. The same man who settled a Fake University fraud case for 25 million is essentially calling the former FBI director who called him a liar, a liar. This is the same man who denied that Russia hacked the DNC until he accepted they did, the same man that said Obama was born in Kenya until he accepted he wasn’t, the same man who threatened Comey with having video tapes of his conversations after firing him, because he seemed to feel threatened by what Comey knew about their discussions. If Comey made all this up, it’s very weird for him to say Trump merely “hoped” he could let this go. You’d think Comey would flat out just say whatever he wanted to make Trump say, such as make up the lie that Trump asked him directly to let Flynn off the hook. It’s pretty easy to see who is telling the truth.

Comey’s Testimony and the Spin that Followed
How can Comey be a liar and “totally vindicate” Trump at the same time? The two assertions by Trump don’t go together, and this proves he has lied and contradicted himself once again. Vindication does not come through the former FBI director flat out calling Trump a liar, and posting an account of manipulative tactics and underhanded methods that implies Trump knew he was doing something inappropriate. Comey was not proven to be a liar.
Trump wants to exonerate himself in the… public eye because he wants to continue the propaganda. I’m not sure if the propaganda is a by-product of the depraved desire to feel acceptance beyond what is possible, or if it is a calculated move, but the end product reeks of fascism just the same.
There has been an inability for Trump, his supporters and his Administration to admit any fault to an extent that has gone beyond bizarre. There have been others that have presented themselves in a similar manner, we know them as some of the most infamous leaders in world history.
The administrations psychosomatic narrative, this amateur hour hustle that may have gotten Trump somewhere in shady “Trump” brand dealings, does not cut it when running a superpower. The population, aside from the deluded 30% or so that has been brainwashed by decades of propaganda, can see through this madness – yet the administration attempts to defend the indefensible anyway.
Do they believe the lies and rationalizations themselves? It is very possible. It is very scary if they do. They are on a path that the likes of which was never seriously thought to occur in these United States. A degenerate, damaging administration who’s impact will reverberate through time and history, and not on the good side of it. The propaganda, lies, and spin will continue to produce a false narrative and false perception of reality, all to pander to a base that already believes he can do no wrong and divide those who know better even further. This is nothing short of abusing his faithful followers, taking full advantage of a feverish bias that has cast them under a spell of illusionment. It is mental abuse and it is far from normal.

The Persistence of the Propaganda
My posts from the past few weeks continue to ring true, today another “tweet” by President Trump exposes the dangerous mindset of his desire, or his idiocy, (perhaps both) to distort reality in order to divide even more.
Trump has taken on yet another straw-man argument, as I have pointed out previously in my May 15th post
– https://ruminationfactory.wordpress.c...
Strawmen are useful tools of propaganda. They distort your opponents words and thoughts, turn them into something they are not- in order to present yourself as having a noble worthy cause and your opponents to not. Of course, these techniques coincide with others techniques of propaganda, some of which are the falsehoods and conspiracy theories are vomited out in order to twist reality into something that makes his words, thoughts and actions seem noble.
The dangerous rhetoric feeding a population of a feverish base continues and will continue, it seems, for the remainder of his term, whenever that may be. This deceptive, untruthful time we live in, when the president himself presents propaganda on this level reminds me only of the most dangerous regimes in world history. It surely will make those who believe in him seem to think that the rest of the world has gone mad. This type of incitation, this push towards a distortion of reality can easily cause violence. When conspiracy theories and lies are presented to an already angry base, violence can and has happen. The shooting up of a Pizza Restaurant in Washington DC bizarre because propaganda led people to believe that Hillary Clinton led a child-pedophilia ring out of the restaurants basement, a basement that doesn’t even exist apparently.
Nonetheless, people disregard the weird perception one must have on reality in order to believe it to begin with, that is what a decade of propaganda, that has become increasingly bizarre and volatile, has done to a good portion of the population.
Trumps tweet today will go unchecked by millions, taken for granted as true. Millions more will perceive a madness in the world of Europe’s leaders that does not exist, because their words and thoughts are twisted by a deviant in charge of the country.
His words and falsehoods undoubtedly are causing major destruction to the mindsets of millions of his followers and supporters, which in turn will turn them on anyone who doesn’t think what he states his true, for reasons again outlined in my May 17th post. While the nation looks for stability and leadership from Trump, those that believe him are being misled and essentially, abused mentally, while those who know better might be subject to the abuse and scorn of his illusioned followers.
There is a problem running amok in the nation and the internet/social media is the medium that allowed this problem to spread. It is no different for the means of ISIS ideology to radicalize anyone at anytime, any place. Falsehoods. Lies. Propaganda. Deceit. Misinformation. The interesting thing is that ISIS, too, is a fascist regime powered by the same type of discussions across the internet.
I saw the propaganda, lies and garbage that brought many voters as well as Trump to begin their bizarre perception of reality and said nothing. It was so outlandish I figured it wouldn’t be believed, but I was incorrect. It wasn’t until 2016 when I fully realized how someone could vote for a someone who spoke words so evil at the Jewish population of Germany in the 1930’s. I now know how propaganda and lies can take a good portion of the population by storm and we have been seeing it for nearly a decade now. The Nazi movement too, had its roots in the 1920’s, fueled by lies and strawmen arguments, demonization of certain types of people, dividing people through labels and words and mischaracterizations.
“There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the whole world, you were not mad.’”
We can understand the truth here, we can analyze what’s happening and we can call a spade a spade, regardless of how bizarre and unbelievable it has become. These are dangerous and interesting times and we the people need cogent explanations of just how reckless, delusional, brazen and perilous that this administration is.

Resist
[image error]
I remember when Alex Jones first came on the scene. He became famous by propagating anti government paranoia back when the 9-11 truther movement originated, when they claimed George Bush and company orchestrated the attack on ourselves. The fervor from this anti propaganda morphed on to whatever political or world occurrence that happened next. It morphed into a delusional freak show of an unending web of lies and self centered illusions to continue the mental schema of paranoia, being a victim, and essentially attempting to gain power over a situation they deemed powerless on. The fantasy of having this knowledge of what “really” happened, and as such this power over these global elites, made them feel, well, more powerful.
The conspiracy theories that Jones propagated then morphed into fodder for some and many in the right wing. Infowars and prison planet were getting more and more hits. People felt empowered to “finally know the truth”, and as such grasp onto power over people that made them feel powerless.
Trump is a man that has validated the likes of Alex Jones. Trump got creamed in the 2008 mortgage banking and property crisis, which seems to have had a great effect on his perception of reality. It seemed that he felt powerless and latching on to these conspiracy theories in turn made him feel like he had his pre-2008 power back. It’s the nature of why conspiracy theories can become not only self redeeming, but addictive.
The propagation of the media being some globalist agenda that essentially shrouds the citizens of the world from the essential truths, such as reptilians running the planet, or some secret illuminati agenda that secretly rules the world commenced on-wards.
I saw all this happening and gaining ground and most if not all reasonable intelligent people just dismissed these weird theories and ignored them. Don’t engage the trolls, they thought. What happened to this stream of thought traveling by word of mouth from person to person, share to share, became a regular attack on Barrack Obama after Bush left office.
It gained ground, people who hated the elite, the globalists, the Illuminati or whatever they wanted to be the enemy, seemed to transfer this sense of mind to people who were suspect to this because we had a black man from Kenya as president, a communist, or someone who is going to take our guns.
Obamas opposition got squashed, but the delirium remained. People ignored the rabid underground right wing as they went on in their dangerously small bubble on social media, and morphed with the typical republican voter by extension of their friends and family.
The clicks of links on things and fake news that were outrageous and absurd gained more and more revenue, so more and more outrage and nonsense was disseminated to the right wing voter. The left, meanwhile, was having a geek revival. The revenge of the nerds. Geek became chic, science and intelligence were hip, and the average yokel who couldn’t think on that level became disenfranchised even more with the continual globalization and lack of recognition. Conspiracy theories have them power over all this. Trump too needed that power it seems and he goes on to lead a campaign rooted in the delusions of the popularity of Alex Jones types and the forgotten man. The conservative changed and went bizarrely right and anti elite in a manner that the disenfranchised could be redeemed by. If they believe it, it became their reality. The fervor leads to a conspiracy truth challenged delusional narcissist as President, backed by zombie like cult members that I could only compare to the same type of people under the spell of Nazi propaganda in the 1930’s.
These people who considered themselves patriots, became party loyalists. Nationalists, they claim they are. More importantly though was their echo chamber and bubble of a weird emerging group of disenfranchised conspiracy theorist right wingers. The anti intellectual. Disenfranchised by their own lack of comprehending complex political issues. It’s easier to believe a propagandistic picture with 5 words telling everyone how evil Obama is. Someone with the wealth of human knowledge at their fingertips, who chose to explore their own preconceived notions instead.
Now we have people throwing away our standards of national democracy in favor of this bizarre party.
I don’t appreciate people hijacking patriotism and skewering it into some Alt -Right spell blinding conspiracy riddled madness that ultimately came from the same bizarre train of thoughts like Sandi hook not happening or 9-11 was an inside job.
I sat by watching these weirdos spread this nonsense for way too long, dismissing them as isolated loons. It turns out I shouldn’t have done that. But I am not going to threaten people. But I am angry. I’m angry that I knew better and could have tried at least to prevent some of my family to turn into delirious weirdos. Nonetheless, the anger will never overwhelm me like I’ve seen in the hate distributed from right wing meme’s and crass rude behavior.
I let it ride because I didn’t know how extensive it was, to cause someone like Trump come to power. I thought we were better than that as a nation. I thought most voters would be reasonable enough in this country. It is now apparent that they aren’t. I’m a patriot, Paul, I want what’s best for this nation. I want what’s best for you. I think you do to. Attacking people physically isn’t going to do that, but this conspiracy theory crowd have gone too far. You’re a part of that as you already have shown, and I don’t think telling people in a calm and pleasant scientific manner is necessarily going to get through to everyone, but I think there’s a way. It has something to do with this sense of superiority that conspiracy theorists get, and it’s unwarranted. They didn’t earn it, they didn’t achieve anything, they just believed it, and viola, instant power. But then there’s this slavish mentality too, to the cult leader. Hitler had it under him, Trump has it under him.
There’s a reason why certain people are seen as elite, and it’s not just money. It’s not some goofy IQ test. People who assume things get themselves into trouble. People who have false perceptions of reality get themselves into trouble. People with false perceptions of reality fail. These failures somehow eked out a fluke of a win with Trump, for many reasons outlined above. History won’t be looking kind upon this group. It’s not going to last long. It barely got in. Now that people are paying attention to the illogical madness, lies and conspiracy theories that this group purports there’s going to be a lot of backlash for you and your perception of reality. This is just the beginning.
“There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth you were not mad.” I see foaming at the mouth wingnuts spreading Goebbel-esque propaganda on a regular basis.
You can’t out-think people who have truth and logical reasons on their side. It’s not about party affiliation, it’s about reasonable human beings vs delusional, and delusional people can’t sustain against logic and reason, unless they wish to fight physically. Until then, your chances are dim. But reasonable people have the upper hand here and always will, Intelsat things turn violent. I don’t think reasonable people are going to be the ones that instigate that. I haven’t met one person from that group who could tell fact from fiction anymore.
