Blood Song Audiobook News

The audiobook version of Blood Song will be released on 2nd July to correspond with publication of the hardcover and can be pre-ordered at audible.com: http://www.audible.com/pd/ref=sr_1_5?asin=B00DLI07C4&qid=1372599621&sr=1-5

Many thanks to the excellent Steven Brand for his sublime vocals which are a perfect match for Vaelin’s story. His bio reads thusly:

“Steven Brand is a Scottish actor. He made his American screen debut in Universal’s The Scorpion King as Memnon, arch nemesis of Mathayus, played by The Rock. Following the success of his debut, Brand’s work has included the HBO series The Mind of the Married Man, Stephen King’s The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer, CSI, Human Target and more recently starring in the movies Treasure Raiders with David Carradine, Say It in Russian with Faye Dunaway, and XII. Anime fans also know him as the voice of Alexander Anderson from the anime and OVA of Hellsing, as well as the voice of Richard Hellsing in the OVA.”

RIP Iain M. Banks

A fond farewell to Iain M. Banks, possibly the finest prose writer ever to grace the pages of science fiction. And also goodbye to his long term collaborator Iain Banks, who injected a much needed narrative drive and energy into mainstream literature. I wish I’d met them both.

Blood Song – Signed UK Hardcovers

I was hoping to announce that signed, stamped and numbered copies of the UK hardcover edition of Blood Song would be available from Goldsboro Books in London, but sadly they sold out of all 100 copies on pre-order before I realised it had been listed. However, they tell me they’ve ordered another 50 copies for me to sign, although these won’t be numbered. These will be sold on a first come first served basis so, if you want one, place your orders now: http://www.goldsborobooks.com/search.php?q=blood+song.

Also, I’m now on Twitter if anyone would care to massage my ever fragile ego with a follow: @writer_anthony.

Blood Song – UK ebook Now Available for Pre-Order

The UK ebook version of Blood Song is now available for pre-order, with a release date in mid-April. The UK hardcover will be available on 4th July. This means my original listing on Amazon.co.uk will disappear over the next few days. This edition is the edited version which has benefited from the input of my editor at Ace and their copy-editing and proof-reading team, so there are a few changes from my own self-published version. However, fans of the original should rest assured that the changes are not extensive and consist mainly of some grammatical tweaking, expanding one chapter a little and reducing another even less. I’d be interested in hearing from anyone who can spot all the changes.

Also, I can now reveal the final version of the UK cover. Enjoy:

Blood Song nominated for the BookSpotCentral Annual Book Tournament

I’m pleased and flattered to announce that some kind person (not me, honest) nominated Blood Song for the on the BookSportCentral Blog. There are 64 books in the tournament with two books fighting it out in each voting round. In round one I’m up against Dark Eden by Chris Beckett. Voting starts on Thursday 21st March so anyone wishing to show their support for any of the fine works listed please stop by and cast your votes.
