The Bluetooth LE doc-a-thon at ITP Camp

The Bluetooth LE Doc-a-Thon Getting started using Bluetooth LE is much harder than it should be, and that a lot of great work people are doing is getting dropped on the floor, or worse yet done again. We decided to sit down and do something about that.

Ode To Our Dads

This is a photo of my dad and I from the 2009 Oshkosh EAA AirVenture fly-in in front of our old biplane. I was 14 in the photo, and we flew 2,500 miles from Southern California to Wisconsin over the course of 5 days, stopping every 200 miles along the way for fuel. It was an absolutely incredible trip, and we met a bunch of really cool people both on our way there and at the fly-in. --Bradley Matheus Thanks Dad, for teaching us to Make.

Building Your WorkBench

Finished (for now)! Total materials cost: about $170. I wanted to get it all loaded up with the rest of my tools, but it started raining and I was exhausted. I'm going to be adding some upper shelves in the middle two sections too for storing smaller tools. Building a nice work surface is a very important task. Many people have come up with many approaches. DiResta showed us earlier this week how a simple design with solid welded frame could both look nice and possibly last forever. What if you aren’t set up to weld though? Chris […]

3D Light Painting With A 3D Printer

The final image Yesterday we showed you how two creative people were using an industrial robot arm to do some light painting. The results were really cool, but the hardware was simply out of reach for most people. However, Ekaggrat has come up with an interesting way to use existing 3D printers to […]
