Jellyfish?
The next chapter is done. Our heroine is still in trouble. Enjoy this excerpt from the up coming epic fantasy, Red Sails in the Morning
were circling but would not come into the cluster of jelly fish.
Great, she thought to herself, I survive the kuran only to be killed by jelly fish.
She gently kicked her way forward. The sea water aggravating the kuran bite and jelly fish sting. She moved forward carefully using the board to push the bulbous floating tops away gently.
The rainbow hues of the jellyfish swirled around her on the currents. Cold seeped into her limbs and they felt like lead. Exhaustion weighed her down, but she couldn't give in. Enough poison could kill her.

Dragon Attacks in Red sails in the morning
I finished writing a dragon attack scene. The dragon Char attacks an elven village. One elf stands to challenge him, and we learn that he is immune to dragon fire.
This is a first draft so when the book comes out it might look totally different. Enjoy the excerpt.
"Stand and fight you coward." Heathrow roared at the dragon.
The dragon wheeled over the village. His great wings fanning the fires that burned below. Heathrow gritted his teeth thrusting his spear to the sky.
The dragon landed on the edge of the marble entry way. Great wings buffeted Heathrow. "You want a fight," the dragon growled. "I will give you a fight."
Heathrow screamed in defiance and rushed toward the dragon his spear thrust out before him. A huge paw with ten inch claws swept for him. Heathrow somersaulted beneath the swishing talons and rose to his feet. He stabbed his spear at the joint between the limb and the body. The spear found its home. Hot red blood ran down the shaft, causing the spear to grow slick.
The tail whipped forward sweeping Heathrow from his perch. Barely able to retain his spear, Heathrow tumbled. He surged to his feet and charged to huge dragon. His spear bounced against the hard plate of the dragon's abdomen. Heathrow staggered back from the solid thunk of his charge.
The dragon lunged forward, fangs extended as he snapped at the soldier. Hot fetid breath, flowed over Heathrow. He thrust with his spear to the soft inside of the dragon. The dragon roared, and flung his head toward the sky.
"Enough games," the dragon roared, blood streaming down around the spear. Heathrow drew his short sword that hung at his waist.
The dragon breathed in, getting ready to launch another gout of fire toward the solder. The fire was drawn out of the palace with the breath. Heathrow crouched down next to the railing. The dragon breathed out his flame. Heathrow clenched his sword. The steel of the blade melted with dragon flame and flowed over Heathrow's hand. His clothing was aflame, along with his leather armor. Yet still he stood. The flame burned everything attached to him, yet his flesh remained free of burns.
When the dragon fire died, Hethrow stood before the wyrm, naked. Around him marble cracked from the heat. The dragon threw back its head and roared leaping for the skies with powerful wings launched himself over the island winging back toward his home island. Around the palace people were dying and fighting fires. On the palace steps, Heathrow stood naked, his eyes watching as the dragon left the city.

Copy time
Today I made copies for my writing group. I have learned that people love Edwardynah so I thought I would post an excerpt with her in it.
I need to come." Edwardynah insisted as Jason awaited the rest of the group in the main hall. Her tail twitched and her ears laid flat against her skull.
"No you do not. You need to stay here where it is safe. I have heard about the number of cats Corrin went through by insisting on taking them on rangings."
"It is my duty, I shall come, and, quite frankly, you cannot stop me." She sat on her haunches and glared at him
Jason groaned at her. "I am just now getting over my allergies with your presence. What would happen if I lost my pills while we were ranging?" He sat on a chair feeling his resolve crumble.
"The same thing that would happen if I was not with you. You would be sneezing at the cats of the differing levels just as much." She leapt onto his lap and regarded him with her golden eyes.
As you can see she is still getting into trouble. "The Bankers of Zurix is the sequel to "The Student Librarian." In it we see Jason getting into yet more trouble. Though he can now treat his cat allergies, he is still plagued by dander from the other cats about he library. Mortyiene's darker side surfaces. Rosliniah learns about her own weaknesses.
Stay tuned for more excerpts from "The Bankers of Zurix," and "Red Sails in the Morning." The first one of a massive epic fantasy, and "The Priestesses of Levet," another Jason and Mortyiene mystery

today my book got release
Today my book is now out in paperback on Amazon. This is a huge day for me. I am so excited. I have ordered some API for local people and when I travel. So far the response has been positive. I hope those of you that are my fans and friends will take a look at it on Amazon. This marks the start of a career I have wanted since I was a child. Here is to hoping that there are many books in my future.

NaNoWriMo
the question is did I do it. I am working on my third novel, after the sequel to "The student Librarian," I am writing an epic fantasy set in a series of small islands. Today I made the 50K word count for NaNo but the novel is not completed. It is not even half way through. I put in the words and got the certificate. But I spend time contemplating whether or not I have won. The novel is simply not done.
Tomorrow I go to my writers group and discuss "The Bankers of Zurix," the sequel to my first book. So far people are enjoying hearing more about Jason and Mortyiene.
For those of you who have signed up for a copy of my book I thank you. I hope you continue to read and share my world.

Happy Thanksgiving
Deep in the heart of NaNoWriMo, I am working on book one of a massive epic trilogy. Though I fear I will not put as many words in my novel today as I have done in the past. I am heartened by the fact that I will make fifty thousand words by the end of November, even though I will not have finished writing the book.
I am going to my cousins house for thanksgiving dinner which will take up a big chunk of today's writing.
I hope everyone is thankful for something in your life and takes a moment to reflect.
