I came across this great art website based out of the UK called ARTPISTOL

It's a great way to buy and sell art to a wide audience! And you know me, I'm a sucker for great online galleries as I am a member of several. One of the features that I really liked was the BID feature where you can browse a gallery of art where the artists is accepting offers. Most sites require a timed auction or simple set price, but this particular feature didn't have a time line set per-se. Simply browse and make offers on great art! It's all about offering a fair price that is within your own budget- and if the artist agrees, you got it! Cool art for your space.

Another great feature is that the gallery is placed before a jury- so you're not going to find junk. The art must meet criteria for high quality, so you're not going to find amateur anime sketches in overload like you will on sites like DeviantArt. (Not that Deviant isn't great, but I get tired of sifting through high school scrap book sketches to find the good stuff LOL). If you're a discriminating art collector, ARTPISTOL will not let you down! Check it out:

September 5, 2012

It's been years since I've worn a watch on my wrist since I've started carrying a cell phone everywhere I go. But I've been thinking a lot about what I would do in a national emergency and all the cell phone towers went down. I like knowing what time it is, what day it is and having it handy is important to someone like me who gets days mixed up easily.

BUT, imagine this: Communications go down and the government initiates a curfew. No more internet, and utilities are rationed. All of our clocks are electric, so I would be totally out of the loop. What if food rations were put into effect and soldiers had taken every scrap of food you had. You'd better know what day and time the food lines are, or you'll starve. ...and If you're caught outdoors at the wrong time, it could mean a trip to lock down. Bear with me- I enjoy speculation (hey, I'm an author). BUT if I had a kick butt watch on my wrist, I would be in the loop on time and date.

This week's stop is a very unique post featuring a 'mind track', similar to a sound strack for Morning Star. Visit INDIE WRITERS REVIEW to listen and view some of my personal music picks.
