From Our Readers: Someone I Can't Call Mine

Someone I Can't Call Mine

I have swung back and forth, wondering
Whether to hold on still or just let go
What we have is like an endless tunnel
Where it leads us is a blur, I really don't know

The waiting is absolutely tormenting.
It made me question love.
Ambivalent feeling, wishful thinking,
Waiting at the end of the crossroad,
Waiting, just waiting.

5 Ways Travel Can Change You

Blair Waldorf packing suitcase

Traveling, especially on long trips, makes us experience new things, but does it actually change us? Dr. Julia Zimmermann and researcher Franz Neyer published a paper in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology that proves that traveling can truly change your personality.

The experiment involved studying a group of German students, half who traveled and studied abroad for a semester or two and another half who didn't. They were all tested on the "Big Five" personality traits (i.e. openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and emotional stability) before and after their travels. The students who traveled all scored higher for each trait after they returned as well as in comparison to the students who stayed in Germany.

Want to learn more about how travel changes you? Read on for 5 ways.

From Our Readers: The Letter I Will Never Send

The Letter I Will Never Send

It has been exactly a month now. How are you? How are things going on? These are just two of the million questions I badly want to ask you personally but this is the nearest I could ever be. Thousands of kilometers away from you, in my room, alone.

I won't be able to send you this message and you won't be able read this but I'm making this because at this ungodly hour, I still think of you. I badly want to know how a month without me has been. How a month with the girl you cheated on me has been. Are you guys happy? Are you even satisfied? Is it worth it? Is she worth it for you to cheat on me? I hope she is. I hope you are genuinely happy. I hope things are working out for you and the odds are in your favor.

From Our Readers: This Is How You Fall In Love

This Is How You Fall In Love

It's both exhilarating and drastically terrifying at the same time, right? It cuts down to your spine and weak fragments,. But deep down inside, you know you love it.

You feel that every word he speaks sparks a thousand miles of cities yet to be known. Every text message you get from morning 'til midnight absolutely brings you joy that you feel like you want to store his words forever in your chest, so you can read everything again any time. No matter how much you cringe about it, you always find yourself telling your friends that this guy always says the right words, even if they sometimes tend to tell you he's not. You feel honored, enchanted, special, and you don't even know why. You don't know where your feeling has been actually leading you. You feel like every story he narrates to you—from childhood frustrations to pop culture views—can be written into a perfect song with an aim to lull you to sleep, and the tone in his voice strum so strong back at your timid little heart, slowly inviting you to plunge into the greatness of this ever-so mysterious romance.

From Our Readers: To That One Guy I Can't Trust

To That One Guy I Can't Trust

You're always asking me the same question over and over again. "Why can't you trust me?" Whenever you ask that question, I pretend to look away. Pretending I didn't hear you because answering such question will put me in a spot. It will open up the door and my emotions will burst. So instead of answering I choose to simply keep quiet.

Why? Because I know you have lied to me a thousand of times already. I know when you go out sometimes, you never told me about it.Yes, I know a lot of things you thought I didn't. I know that when I made you choose that day, even though you told me it was me, your eyes are betraying you. Little did you know that my heart was breaking into pieces.
