5 Things You Missed Today (September 21)

As if we don't love Ariana Grande's "One Last Time" and Justin Bieber's "What Do You Mean" enough already, Ari decides to give us more reasons to. During her concert, the hitmaker gave us the version of the mash-up we didn't think we needed. This comes after we've heard it from YouTuber Jake Marra's mash-up and Sam Tsui and Casey Breves's medly. Love this, Ari! (via J-14.com)

From Our Readers: First Love

First Love

The circus was in full swing. There were twinkling lights and glowing fireflies hovering in the air. There were striped tents, each one filled with wonders that differ from one another. Other tents featured circus performers, while others were just meant to be explored. Acrobats littered the walkway and tricks were seen here and there. Everything was a flash of color and the smell of caramel and popcorn was heavy in the air. The world looked suddenly better when you enter the circus, for inside it, you won't be able to distinguish reality from a dream.

Ariana Grande Shows Off Her Natural Curly Hair and We Totally Love It

Ariana Grande has always been known for her ultra sleek high ponytail hairstyle. But not many people know that her signature look is actually because of years of hair damage from having to constantly dye her hair a bright red hue when she was still starring on the TV show Victorious. Because of all the damage, Ariana has been wearing her hair in a ponytail, resorting to extensions and wigs. But today is a great day for the singer because after years of waiting for her natural hair to grow back and be healthy again, she's finally able to flaunt her natural curls and be proud of it! Check out her super cute seflies below as she gets to let her real hair down!

Why the Friend Zone Is Not So Bad—In Fact, It's Pretty Cool

One lunch break at the Candy HQ while we were talking about The Fault in Our Stars and If I Stay, then EIC Marla—if I'm not mistaken—came up with the term "sicktopia" to describe all these movies set in the real world—as opposed to the increasingly popular dystopian realms—about teenagers dying and falling in love. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl ticks the "dying" box, but what makes it so special is that it celebrates platonic love instead of the usual romantic kind. The "Me" is Greg, a cripplingly self-conscious boy who refuses to call anyone his friend and is forced by his mom to hang out with Rachel, a schoolmate recently diagnosed with leukemia. Completing the trifecta is Earl, Greg’s best friend, though Greg would much rather call him a co-worker he makes home movies with.

I Wish You Had Told Me

The two of you were always so close, that by the time I thought things were getting serious, I decided to get over my feelings for you and move on. "It was never going to happen between the two of us," I told myself. Your relationship with her seemed almost perfect that I didn’t see any possibility in breaking that, not that I had any intention to. It’s been almost two years now—almost two years since you chose her—since you chose to damage me and ruin my heart. Almost two years that I have struggled to move on and arrive at that point where I decided not to feel anything for you anymore. And after all the trouble I’ve gone through to get over you, I find out—you had feelings for me too.

From Our Readers: To the Guy Who Walked Barefoot Just So I Wouldn't

On the evening aftermath of my eighteenth birthday party when everyone started heading home, a few of my friends and I decided to stay a little bit longer to catch up. We stayed until the staff of the venue where my party was held started cleaning up and closing.

My house was just a few meters away and in search for more fun together, we all decided to walk home. The idea of walking home was nice if I weren't wearing 4.5-inch stilettos.
