She graduated from Valparaiso University with a degree in International Economics and Chinese. While in college, she was fortunate to study abroad in China as well as South Africa and Namibia. Walking through the rainforest for the first time can feel very much like walking through a busy city in a country where you don’t know the language and don’t have a map. The cacophony of sounds has no meaning and the signs make no sense.
