7 Days …

There are 7 days left until The Night Weaver (Harrowsgate #1) is reborn. That’s 168 hours left for you to go about your typical day, unaffected, oblivious to the terrors waiting to come to life in Shadow Grove… There are 10,080 minutes until Darklings slither into your house, snuffing out all the light, enticing you to the Night Weaver’s side. 604,800 seconds until your worst fears are realized.

The Night Weaver Harrowsgate - Volume 1
Shadow Grove isn’t a typical town. Bad things happen here. Children disappear, one after the other, and nobody is doing anything about it. Parents don’t grieve, missing posters don’t line the streets, and the sheriff seems unconcerned.

Seventeen-year-old Rachel Cleary lives on the outskirts of Shadow Grove, next to the creepy forest everyone pretends doesn’t exist. Usually the forest is filled with an eerie calm, an unmistakable graveyard solemnity. But the trees have started whispering, forgotten creatures are stirring, and the nights feel darker than ever.

Something is stalking the residents of Shadow Grove, changing them into brain-dead caricatures of themselves. It’s up to Rachel to stop the devouring of her hometown before all is destroyed and everyone she loves is forever lost.

Get Sexy with Savon’s 100% Natural Soap

Now’s the perfect time to get down and dirty just so you can wash up with Savon, a 100% natural artisan soap. That’s exactly what I did, after I received the entire Savon soap range for review, and boy did I enjoy every moment. There were six different soap fragrances to test out, each one uniquely handcrafted, but all of them were super luxurious.

Going Green

Over the past few months, we’ve been trying to cut down on our plastic usage, specifically in the bathroom and kitchen. You know, to help the environment and all, but it wasn’t easy. Firstly, I have incredibly sensitive skin when it comes to soap and shampoo. If there’s a too-harsh chemical in the soap, I either break out or I itch. It also doesn’t help that we have relatively hard water where we live, so finding a soap that would lather properly and keep me from scratching the whole day isn’t the easiest feat.

I used to rely heavily on Dove soap … “used to” being the operative phrase here.

Even the Savon products that weren’t our favorites were better than any store bought soap we’ve ever tried!

The Savon Soap Range [image error]

Not only is the Savon soap range free from sodium laurel sulphates, parabens, artificial fragrance and salt, but the soaps are absolutely gorgeous and smell divine. I loved soaking in the bath, enjoying the fragrances that wafted through the air. What’s more, my skin felt soft afterward. The cherry-on-top? The Savon soap packaging is environmentally friendly and durable! I can send my boxes back to Savon right now and they can reuse them easy-easy. Oh, and the prices are great! I mean, yes, you’re going to pay a little bit more than usual, but it’s so worth it.

The six soaps I got were as follows:

Jasmine & Grapefruit Natural Soap

The jasmine and grapefruit soap bar fell right in the middle of the group for us. It smelled wonderful, lathered beautifully, and lasted for about 3 weeks with 2 people using it. I did, however, experience a bit of stickiness to the soap dish at times, but it’s soap—that’s literally bound to happen at some point.

Neroli & Cocoa Natural Soap

Another bar that fell into the middle of the range was the Neroli & Cocoa soap bar. Again, it smelled glorious (especially if you have a chocolate addiction) and lathered well. This bar lasted for just over 2 weeks for 2 people using it. No weird residue in the soap dish with this one.

Roses & Lavender Natural Soap

Husband thought this one smelled great, but we were both a little let down by the lack of lathering it produced. This soap bar barely lasted 2 weeks between the two of us, but—on the upside—it is a vegan-friendly soap and it still made my skin feel good.

Lemongrass Natural Soap

This one was our favorite by far! We absolutely adored the Lemongrass. It smelled delicious, lathered exceptionally well, and lasted over 3 weeks. What’s more, our skin felt super soft and supple. Definitely going to buy this in bulk for us.

Midnight Natural Soap

Our second favorite of the lot was the Midnight soap bar. I am completely addicted to the way it smells, but it also has activated charcoal in it, which really made my skin glow. It lathered like nobody’s business, and lasted exactly 3 weeks. This is another one we’re definitely going to be purchasing (along with the Lemongrass)

Seamud Natural Soap

This was our least favorite soap bar of the lot, but like I said earlier, it’s still better than anything store bought I’ve ever used. Unfortunately, it just didn’t smell like anything (which probably isn’t a bad thing for some people), and it lasted only 2 weeks for 2 people. That being said, it is a vegan soap, too, and my skin did feel soft. The Seamud soap also lathered the most of all the soaps. All in all, however, this one just didn’t work in my household.

The Verdict

We love, love, love Savon’s soap in this house! I hope they’ll expand and add shampoo and conditioner bars soon, as well as some liquid soap! That way, I can do all my soap shopping in one place and never have to worry about bad chemicals and plastic again.

Definitely get your hands on these products if you’re looking to live a healthier life and if you want to help the environment. You will not be disappointed.

Wrong Answers Only Interview: Seven Jane

Today, we have Seven Jane on the chopping block—I mean … err … in the chair—for this week’s edition of my Wrong Answers Only Interview! I threw her with some questions, said, “lie, lie, lie!” and when she didn’t, I knew. Luckily, Seven loves the macabre just as much as I do, so I think she enjoyed being tortured for the entertainment of the masses.

*rub hands together* Oh, what fun my little reign of terror is causing these poor writers …
