I entered my novel Saving Avalon in the Amazon Breakthrough novel contest. Today they announced the writers who made it through the first round, the pitch round. My name wasn't on the list. I really thought I'd make it through the first round. Oh well. At least I don't have to wait to start editing and submitting now.I noticed a lot of titles that implied comedy on the list. Must have been what they are looking for, what they think will be hot next. I'm not a comedy writer, at least not on purpose.

I'm outlining the second book before I start editing the first in case I need to add elements. I've got about 12 chapters so far, then I got  stuck. I know where I want to go. I just don't know how to get there yet. It will come to me at the most inconvenient time so I'll have to wait patiently.
