31 days of Halloween, day 24: Horror on Ice

If there's one thing I fear, it's the coming of winter each year. I hate being cold, and I know I'm not alone - which is probably why this list was so easy to make!

31 days of Halloween, day 23: found footage

Horror novels don't have "footage," but they can include documents, testimony, and photographs to try to fool you into thinking the novel is something real.

31 days of Halloween, day 21: horror movies with musical numbers

I know what you're thinking. Musical numbers in a horror movie? Yes, they exist, and they're just as amazing as they sound.

31 days of Halloween, day 20: book / movie pairings II

I'm coming at you with a few more book/movie pairings. I chose not to pick book-to-movie adaptations, but rather books and movies that complemented each other.

31 days of Halloween, day 18: fairy tales gone bad

31 days of Halloween, day 17: highway to hell

Discovering the unknown can dredge up a variety of fears, and where best to meet the unknown than on a road trip? Instead of snacking on gas station food and singing along to the radio, these stories take us on a literal journey as the characters try to escape the monsters that follow them.

31 days of Halloween, day 16: attack of the Katies!

Being a horror lover, I am always excited when I find a horror novel with my name in the title. It has happened more often that I thought it could. There are plenty of scream queens named Katie too!

31 days of Halloween, day 15: imaginary friends

Little kids are usually pretty creepy in horror. One of their creepiest habits is having an imaginary friend, who usually turns out to be a ghost or a demon.
