Sunday's Thoughts From Rohn

For today: My husband’s most familiar Bible verse, one the Jews prayed as they were dying in the gas chambers:

Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.”

Thoughts from Rohn

January 12, 2013

Mark 5:19 Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

January 11, 2013

Mark 4:40: Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith.

Perche siete cosi paurosi? Come mai non avete voi fede?

January 9, 2013

May the sun bring you new energy every day. May the moon softly restore you by night. May the water wash away your worries. May the wind blow new strength into your being. May the earth rebalance you as you walk through the world. May you see yourself in all things bringing peace to all of creation. Shawnee prayer, +Rohn Federbush

January 8, 2013Mark 4:21 Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was anything kept secret, but that it should come abroad.

Thoughts for December 2012

December 3rd
Matt 10:8 freely ye have received, freely give.

gratuitamente avete ricevuto, gratuitamente date.

December 4th
Matt 10:13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

December 7th
Matt 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harless as doves.

December 8th
Matt 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

Matt 10: 26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed: and hid, that shall not be known.

December 9th
Matt 11:15 He that has ears to hear, let him hear.

December 10th
Matt 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

December 11th
Matt 12:12 And in His name shall the Gentiles trust. Is. 42:3,4

December 12th
Matthew 12:25: Every nation divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.

Come together!

December 13th
By email last night, Snake Nation Press requested my short story, The Prom Dress, for publication. Wasn’t that a nice Holiday surprise?

December 17th
Where there is sadness and fear, Lord, let us bring trust and joy.

December 18th
Matt 13:9: Who hat ears to hear, let him hear.

December 19th
Matt 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

December 20th
Matt 22:21 Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

Rendete dunque a Cesare quel ch'e di Cesare, e a Dio quel ch'e di Dio.

December 21st
Marr 22:37 Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

December 22nd
Matt 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

December 23rd
Matt 23: 39: Blessed is he that cometh in the Name of the Lord!

December 26th
Matt 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Autumn's Harvest Blog Hop!

Here's a poem I've written about Autumn:
Fall’s Composition  Last Saturday was a moody Scot’s day,
sun shining like a reluctant penny
in the frayed pocket of some miserly
merchant. Billowing winds scatter away
the crimson and gold leaves into clouds of gray.
Over lush lawns shy pieces of sun flee,
these bright yellow rain-spattered leaves, off tree
limbs, giving witness to summer’s decay.

Favorite oaks let century shadows
play their hues on autumn’d knolls,
lovers’ havens, lethargic sun allows
no concern for devastation’s controls.
Nature’s silence awes and endows

the ego with solace for our boney souls.
