As part of the anticipation for Frost, I have created a trailer on Animoto to hype you all up! I also have a screen shot of my computer on iBooks of two reviews that brought an immediate and catchy smile to my face!

Back to the writing board!

So after a long and tiring six months, I am back to writing Frost once more. In addition, I am planning on entering NaNoWriMo 2014!
For those of you who don't know what NaNoWriMo means, it stands for 'National Novel Writing Month.' It doesn't really make sense considering it's an international effort to write a 50,000+ word novel on a topic of your choice within the month of November. There are numerous others online where people can attempt the same or similar challenge in other months of the year, but NaNoWriMo in November is where it all started.
You find people to buddy up with and to give each other constructive criticism, inspiration and ideas, whilst ever-working toward that goal of becoming a winner at the end of the month. Last year's prizes included an opportunity to win a publishing contract, free paperback and hard cover copies of their NaNoWriMo books, Scrivener for 50% off, plus more!
P.S. Let me tell you, 50% off Scrivener was totally worth it! Especially paying by AUD seeing as it racks up the price a fair bit!
As for my book, Frost, for those of you who are eagerly awaiting news about the Poseidon's Girls trilogy, I am still searching for beta readers to read the work and give me tips on how I can improve my writing. I am currently up to writing Chapter 3 of Frost, so any beta readers and/or reviewers to help me out would be excellent!
That's about it for the meanwhile. This morning I've reached 695 downloads of Ice from Smashwords and its premium distributors, and I hope that now that I am no longer worrying about TAFE that I will be able to focus on writing some more.
Thank you to everyone who has read my writing so far and given me such excellent ratings, too. It is for you that I write and continue to pursue my passion. You are the people who make dreams like my own come true. I wish each and every single one of you the absolute best!

Calling all beta readers and reviewers!

As I completed my childcare course today, I am now free to search for a job, write some more of Frost and finish my online writing courses. In addition, I am searching for dedicated readers who will give me both good and bad feedback on 'Ice' and how I can make it up to readers in the second instalment. Reviewers and beta readers who are most effective at this will be given the opportunity to read my future releases for free in exchange for a review.

Title Release: #3 of the Poseidon's Girls Trilogy!

Alright, so as promised, I am now releasing the title of book #3 in the Poseidon's Girls trilogy and giving you all a small update on Ice and my writing progress.
As of far, Ice has received 639 downloads on Smashwords alone, along with 3 five stars on iBookstore, approximately 3 three stars and a four star rating. Approximately 14 people have read it from Goodreads and 14 people have added the sequel to their to-read list when it is released.
So, without further ado, I am releasing the title of the third and final book...

Tempest
Tempest! That's right! The cover is yet-to-be-released but it has been put together and features the same model as its predecessors. So, for those who want to see the cover of Tempest released and have already downloaded Ice, help raise awareness by encouraging your friends, family, etc.In addition, if there are any reviewers who would like to give me a go, feel free to download it from Smashwords and their corresponding distributors for free. Drop me a review, some tips, anything! I welcome any constructive criticism at all!

Ice & Frost Updates: Poseidon's Girls Trilogy

- Fotolia.comSo, as we all know, Ice has come off to a brilliant start. I just checked and it is up to 447 downloads - that is staggering! So I would like to write a short and sweet update involving the Poseidon's Girls trilogy.
Firstly, I have completed writing the first chapter of Frost and am aiming to sit down and do some serious writing when I complete tafe and work placement mid-June, so please be patient. I'm trying my best to juggle work, tafe, and a ton of financial commitments that are dragging me down.

Book #3 of the Poseidon's Girls trilogy has a title that I decided on a little while ago, and so the moment I cross over to 600 downloads of Ice, I will reveal it. At 800 downloads I will also reveal the official cover of book #3 as well. At 1,400 downloads I will potentially run a giveaway for all three books in one set and provide a 'box set' of the three eBooks. But all of this depends on how much support I receive! So, my butterflies, go forth and spread the word and I shall reward you with these tempting little giveaways!

Frost continues the trilogy and follows Iris as she works to complete high school, improve her chances at a surfing career and protect her family from the once-powerful and vengeful Cronus, father of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades.
Wounded and fading away, Cronus is desperate. With three of Medea's descendants aiding him, a shock accident means a chance: a chance at strength, at freedom, at life.

Four days after release and already at 231!

I am absolutely blown away by the response I've received since I released 'Ice' four days ago! Guess I'd better get my butt moving and write the next instalment to the trilogy, right?
231 downloads of 'Ice' since its release four days ago! WHAT! This is phenomenal to me. I only received 130 approx. downloads of 'Glass Bones' within the three months it was up for free, and 'Ice' has already blown 'Glass Bones' way out of the water! I've uploaded a comparison of the downloads to date for 'Glass Bones' versus 'Ice' because I simply am so shocked!
For those who are interested, 'Ice' is available from iBookstore, Barnes and Noble Online and more now as it has been accepted for premium status by Smashwords.
Thank you to everyone who has downloaded 'Ice' so far and thank you to everyone who does in future. It's a great compliment to me as an author and I will be aiming to get the next instalment - Frost, book #2 of the Poseidon's Girls trilogy - out as soon as possible. I'm aiming for the end of Australia's winter at the latest if other outside commitments don't take precedence. Just, wow! Thank you all!
Now, it's time for me to return to writing my assessments for tafe and my writing courses, but I will try and get time to start working more on Frost. It's started already! I just have to work on it more. I can't wait to see what the future has in store!
