News: Submissions, Editing, and Writing Plans

1/19/14

LT3 said yes to both Road to Home and Heartbeat! The contracts are ready to go in the mail. Once everything is signed and official all the other things like release dates and covers will start getting organized. I’m so excited! Hopefully DSP will send me good news too.

The edits for are completely done. The anthology won’t be released until May 14th, but the hard part is finished This is probably one of my personal favorite anthology submissions I’ve...

News: Road to Home and Audiobooks

1/14/14

Road to Home is done. Sort of. All that’s left is editing, but that editing includes trying to add about 1k words so I meet my minimum word count. I want the sequel to be nearly the same length as the original. It shouldn’t be too hard to find places to expand. I also need to add a few short paragraphs to the epilogue. Finishing a story is the hardest part, because I have to tie everything up neatly and let my characters go. I’m expecting to be ready to submit to LT3...

News:

1/9/14

I’m guessing no news is good news, when it comes to submissions. I’ve never worked with DSP before, so I don’t know how long it will take them to get back to me. LT3 is currently going on a journey and I’m not expecting any word from them until they return. Hopefully they’re busy putting together a contract instead of a rejection letter. Am I being too impatient?

I’m sure you’ve all seen the cover for The Oracle’s Hatchling, since I posted...

News:

1/2/14

The New Year has come and it has brought lots of snow with it. I am quickly getting snowed in, but it looks like just the right kind of snow to make snowmen. Fun will be had.

I have two fun things to share in regards to The Oracle Series. The first is that the edits for The Oracle’s Hatchling are sitting on my desktop. They seem to be pretty straightforward—no major re-writes like in the first book—so Hatchling should be ready to go on time! I have also seen the first...

News: Writing and Happy Holidays

12/26/13

The holiday season is ending. I hope everyone who celebrates had a lovely Christmas and that everyone who doesn’t celebrate, like me, enjoyed their day off from work. I saw Frozen and American Hustle this past week, so I’ve been spending my time wisely. Okay, I’ve also written a lot too. The third section in Magnified is quickly drawing to a close, which is good because the fourth section is where all the fun starts to happen. I’m looking forward to sitting dow...

Writing Blues and Writing Woos

I’m working on so many different things at the moment. My muses won’t let me take a few seconds to rest and relax. I’m unbelievably behind on my online reading, for example, simply because I’ve been writing so much. I know that my readers are probably rejoicing as they anticipate the next installments of The Oracle Series, The Oracle’s Hatchling and The Oracle’s Golem, being ready for publication. They’re salivating over Road to Home, the sequel to Ro...

News:

There’s not much happening right now. I’m still plugging away at my stories. I’m hoping to have something ready to submit by the end of January, but there’s still a lot of writing to go.
