Woot! Woot! It's Back To School Time!

I can't believe we're nearing the end of summer. As much as I love the sunshine, I can't say I'm not excited for fall. It's my favorite time of year. How can you go wrong with colorful leaves, comfy sweaters, and BOOTS! Even better than that, Lil' Miss goes back to school which means I'll have a lot more time to write! I'm working on two different stories right now--Deal Makers, the third installment in the Dealing With Love world, and Return to Hope, a small town second chance romance. The former will be full of laughs and ridiculousness and the latter will be pretty heavy with angst and emotion. Basically, they're on opposite ends of the spectrum which actually works well when you're a mood writer like me. I don't have a release date for either yet but I'm doing my best to finish them before the end of the year. In the meantime, you can add each book to your TBR and if you'd like to check out my inspiration playlists, you can do so HERE. Adventures in the Pacific Northwest I've been surrounded by wildfires which have made things quite smoky. Sadly, the air quality has been awful, so I haven't been outdoors much. The one good thing is that you can get really cool pics like the one I took of the moon the other night. This Monday will be my 12th wedding anniversary, so in honor of that, I'm including one of my favorite pics from that special day. The hubs and I have been together for almost 16 years now, which seems crazy to me. It feels like we just started dating yesterday, yet at the same time, I can't really remember what life was like without him. He's my favorite friends-to-lovers story ever!

This lake and the surrounding forest are literally 10 minutes from my house but I never knew they existed! How is that possible, you guys? The lake is PERFECT for kayaking or paddle boarding and there are tons of little swimming holes by mini waterfalls. I can see myself spending lots of time here this summer.
