Question by the reader : Alexandra
I had read your book “By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept”. I know is a love story, Pillar and her boyfriend will stay together defeating all that was against their love. The thing I don’t understand is what is the meaning of the title .In the book I noticed quotes from the Bible, exactly a psalm, about river Babylon, and the sorrow of the defeated people. Is it a connection to Pillars sadness while she thought she will never be with her lover? Thank you so much, hoping for a reply, if you

The road is talking to me in no uncertain terms.
I take it that the tempo of the initial days of this journey was a test… to see if I am able to pay attention at high speed… the pace has now slowed considerably… to allow my soul to catch up with my body… As you know I have a swollen ankle and having visited the hospital, I’m now on antibiotics and inflammation retarders. Although not happy with the situation, I have learned to accept this enforced pause with surprising ease.

The neighbor and the trees - Part 1
Paulo Coelho
My old mill in the little Pyrenees village has a line of trees separating it from the farm next door. The other day the neighbor appeared: he must be about seventy years old. Now and again I have seen him working with his wife on the farm and thought it was high time for them to retire and have a rest.

Quote of the Day
Paulo Coelho
We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It’s one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it’s another to think that yours is the only path.

Today’s Question by the reader : Magdalena
What is for you an outstanding literary work and / or writer?
Writers that manage to change people’s perception and consequently their lives – are to me the greatest writers. In my particular case, writers such as Henri Miller, Khalil Gibran, William Blake and Jorge Luis Borges changed my life. They showed me that the world was much bigger, richer than I could have phantom on my own. They also gave the thirst to experience life – and this is was my life saver.

Your opinion on: Strangers
Everybody has to commute everyday or at least take some sort of public transportation throughout the week. Most of us think that we are losing our time because our parents probably told us not to talk to strangers.
I, for instance, every time I have to do it, I try to engage in a conversation with someone I never met before.
Do you do that? And if you don’t: why are you so afraid of strangers?

Association of the Week: Bells
Bells represent in many European civilizations not only musical instruments but also cult objects supposed to gather humans and supernatural creatures. That’s how they became symbols of cults in many traditions.
In Ancient China there were many legends that spoke of bells that could fly towards very specific places and announce, by the sound they would emit, good or bad omens.
In Tibet, they are opposed to the symbol of the diamond and are considered as the feminine and the material world whereas
