Forum : secret and hidden art

Sometimes we are afraid to say that we like some art… In my case, earlier on in my life, I loved ABBA - but it was politically incorrect to say that in public since it was considered a too sweet and low…

I also love writers such as Henry Miller and bestsellers such as Stephen King. It would probably be more politically correct to say that I love Baudelaire – which is not the case.

So, what are your secret, hidden artists that you like but believe others don’t?

Quote of the Day

Paulo Coelho

Jesus said: ‘Let your word be “Yes, yes” or “No, no”.’ When the warrior takes on a commitment, he keeps his word.

Question by the reader: Hadrian

Do you need a lot of time between books? Do you need time for a story to live in your imagination?

Actually, when I’m not writing I dedicate myself completely to live. I don’t seek stories or anything of the sort. I simply enable myself to be immersed in life - this way I know that somewhere along the line a novel will take hold. But I can’t force this.

My Bank in Lichtenstein

As you probably know, Lichtenstein is a country that has a population of 34.000 persons, and over 77.000 registered companies (meaning, two companies per person). It is also famous for its banks. I found one for me!

My Bank in Lichtenstein

Don’t get confused: the logo in the bank is the name of the capital.

Learning to take care of oneself

Paulo Coelho

- For years I have sought enlightenment – said the disciple. – I feel I am near it and want to know how to take the next step.

- A man who knows how to seek God knows also how to take care of himself. How do you support yourself? – asked the master.

- That is just a detail. I have rich parents who help me along my spiritual path. Because of that, I can dedicate myself entirely to sacred things.

- Very well – said the master. – I will explain to you the next step: look at the sun for hal

Quote of the Day

Paulo Coelho

The Universe does not judge; it conspires in favour of what we want. That is why the warrior has the courage to look into the dark places of his soul in order to ensure that he is not asking for the wrong things.

Today’s Question by the reader : Angie

If the Universe says No, sometimes more than once, to something you really want, what do you do?

If your wish is deep-rooted in your soul, persist. If not - the Universe is simply echoing your inner turmoil.

Always ask yourself how far are you able to go in the path of your dreams. Only when you are capable of answering that question will you be able to move forward.
