I'm really disturbed by your answer to that last ask. There's no reason a 26 year old needs to date a 19 year old. At that age, a gap of that size means significant disparity in life experience, economic power, and social position in a way that has the dis

18 is the legal age for her to be able to decide who she dates. It’s silly to assert myself into someone else’s relationship when I know nothing about either of them. That’s not why I’m here. Large age gaps work or they don’t. It’s good or it’s not. It’s not up to me or you to decide though.

Hey Azra, I'm 19 and dating a guy 7 years older than me and I'm really worried due to the stereotypical thoughts on what a 'normal' age gap should be. Any opinions on this?

The “stereotypical” thoughts don’t matter. What matters is where you are with yourself. Do you know who you are? (As much as you can do at 19), is your relationship working from the same level? Does he patronise you? Does he try to shape you into what he wants you to be? Are you defined in your self to not let him do these things? It depends entirely on your relationship and how you interact with the other :)

do you think you could explain the poem excerpt about plane crashes? it pulls something in me but I can't understand what

I’ve been grappling with this because it’s hard to put it eloquently. Sort of like… Holding onto the memory of someone through their passions. His brother was a pilot and he died in a crash (I think) and now he’s obsessed with plane crashes. That’s what his love for his brother has turned into and that’s how he loves.

That does not..."

You are shaking fists & trembling teeth. I know: You did not mean to be cruel.

That does not mean you were kind.
