they will be wildflowers, then rabbits,

then wolves singing a perfect love

to the beautiful, meaningless moon.”

Have you ever made a TON of a dish that is super tasty, and then that's the only thing you eat for 5 days? This is happening to me and a particularly delicious batch of sweet potato chili right now. Gah. I am so fat because of this. I have mixed feelings a

I’m really happy that you’ve sent me this message, you know? Like, it’s such a normal message. Or you’re just casually texting me because we’re friends and you just know that I can’t cook and am, therefore, jealous of your ability to make sweet potato chilli. But because I’m useless will just encourage you to eat more of it. Keep on babe, love x

like writing sonnets,

quatrains, cinquains

free verse desire

Kisses like ballads,

your tongue on the roof

Tell me you love me quietly,

tell me you’re turning me

into a song.

let’s bump teeth.

That’s how I want it.”

I wish that I felt things even a tenth of the amount you do.

It isn’t necessarily always the best thing. Not when you’re up at 2AM worrying that someone you love doesn’t actually like you or sobbing over something some stranger has written or feeling like you’re a bundle of nerves walking upright and anyone who touches you can see straight into the heart of it all. It’s strange. Sometimes it’s glorious. Sometimes it hurts. Eh.

The salutation alone
