Born and raised in Yorkshire, Louis then trained and worked in the North East of England. He turned to fiction writing when he found that spending time in the depths of dystopian nightmares was preferable to working as a junior doctor in the National Health Service. STATE OF UNREST, his debut novel, is the first of The Iron Sky Trilogy.
