Loads of Fun Summer Sale!
Lynn (that’s me!) has three novels out: Blake, Sterling, and Tarnished Gold.
Blake is the beginning of Montana’s story. Her need for seclusion, at least, for one winter. She does not get what she wants. There is someone or something in the mountains stalking her, people keep showing up on her doorstep, and she meets Max. Max knows what is hunting Montana, but won’t tell her.
Montana’s lack of trust in Max drives her to fix her own problems. If she had known what she’d be confronting that night, she never would have sedated Max.
Sterling is the second novel in the Montana Dayton series. Montana moves to Florida hoping to escape her old life, and regain her normal life back, but her past has come back to haunt her.
Not only does she start losing time, but she also continues to wake up every morning wearing gorgeous jewels and is surrounded by precious gems. She never remembers where, or who she’s getting the glittery baubles from and is hell-bent to get back her memories and return the jewels. Afraid she has been out robbing houses in the middle of the night, she is determined to figure out what is happening on her own.
That is, until the dreams and the strong pull to explore the gulf. When she finally realizes she needs help, she is powerless to get it.
Tarnished Gold When Sam first met Jamie in Sterling, she was homeless, dressed in rags, and a mess. She had no memory of her parents or where she came from. Jamie couldn’t imagine throwing Sam back out on the street, so Jamie took her in and made her part of the family. Now, with Jamie gone on vacation, Sam is left to her own devices.
Sam is homeschooled and suspects Drake, her teacher, and Derek, his son, of spying on her house. She would like to know why, but, before her suspicions are confirmed, Sam casts a memory spell to help her piece together her past.
To add to her confusion, a gang of kids tempts her into their group. She’s never had friends – at least not any she can remember. Her self-doubt gets in the way as she struggles to figure out how to fit in.
Then Sam’s life really explodes! The spell worked, and her memories are coming back at the most inconvenient times. She starts dating a guy she really likes, and she soon realizes she has too many secrets she needs to keep from everybody she knows.
As Sam tries to juggle these new elements in her life, Drake continues to pile on the homework, leaving her no time for her new friends, her new boyfriend, the memories conjured by her spell, or time to figure out why Drake is so interested in her house.
Will the cobwebs of Sam’s past get the best of her?
Will Sam be able to figure out what is going on in time? Or will Drake get the upper hand?

Dark Fates-Madness
One Way Ticket
Normally Tyra had fun with this ruse, but tonight she couldn’t get into the swing of things. She let Liam take the lead and tried desperately to stay planted in the here and now. Tyra relaxed into Liam’s arms; a deep sense of well-being settled over her. She lightly stroked Liam’s waistline with her fingertips. Liam’s muscles took on a more defined shape under her hands. His lips dropped closer to hers with every step they took. She snuggled into him. Amazingly content she thought about hooking up with Liam, thinking in some sad way she was missing out. She glanced up, ready for a kiss. The face that gazed back at her didn’t belong to Liam. It belonged to him. Tyra’s heart dropped into her stomach, all movement stopped. She wrenched herself free of the arms holding her so intimately and stormed out the front door.
Teen Spirit
Jade studied the hordes of weeping people that herded into the gymnasium. They were all crying because of her. Her lips curled into a sneer as she glanced around for her small group of friends. She couldn’t believe they weren’t here yet. Bored she floated down a couple of bleachers to eavesdrop on a group of her parent’s friends.
Calla Crossing
She sat on the pipeline, feet dangling in the air, hands clinging to the metal cable. Calla waited patiently for Broden to show up. Steadying herself to roll with the bridge in the slight breeze she gazed over the amazing view of the canyon before glancing down. Almost one-hundred feet below the river flowed between the canyon walls. How did she get here? Some days she had a hard time remembering. Some days her memory was crystal clear. Every day, her soul screamed for vengeance.
Today she sat searching her memories, wondering again how she got here.
Zack’s Promise
Zack shook his head to chase the memory away. He’d always had this drive to prove himself to his big brother. He didn’t know why.
The sun sat on the horizon, Zack needed to get home. He sighed and trudged at a snail’s pace along the trail. He never seemed to remember anything good about Isaac. Only bad memories. He’d taken what Isaac said to heart and never tried out for the track team. Maybe he’d try out at the beginning of his junior year. Coach always called him speedy and asked him to join every year, so far. He’d have to get off the anti-depressants, the Xanax, and begin training again. If he could just come up with the willpower, and the energy to do it.
He sighed heavily, remembering his promise to Isaac. The depression pushed down harder on his shoulders. If everything went as planned he wouldn’t be alive long enough to become a Junior.
NewsWorthy
Surrounded by the news lately? Have you seen many strange news clips on the same day? I couldn’t help but put those daily clips together into five short stories. Enjoy!
The Snake in the Cereal
Lindsey just wanted a divorce from her abusive ex, but Jason wasn’t about to give her what she wanted. Pushed over the edge she decides to take matters into her own hands. How far will Lindsey go before she gets what she wants?
The Fire in the Mountains
Martha and Carl don’t have the best relationship, but Carl does love his wife. It’s too bad Martha loves her food more than anything else in life. She loves to cook and eat so much that she ignores all of the warning signs telling her she is in danger, including Carl.
The Man with the Bugs
Jerry’s been waiting for his trial for what seems like forever now. He knows he shouldn’t be incarcerated, but the damn phone company handed his records over to the police leaving him sitting in his 6 by 8-foot cell….
Cannabis Cannibalism -vs- The West Nile Virus
It’s crunch time. The Democrats versus the Republicans. Both parties are almost ready to give their speeches to the American voters and both parties want to make it into the White House, but Mother Nature has another plan in store for them…
Bats, Cats, and Wildlife
All Zetha has is her cats, at least that’s what she would like to believe. When her kittens disappear, the events that follow turn her whole existence upside down forcing her to realize what is most important in her life.
Karma Shay
Nighttime is my time. That’s when all of the bad boys and girls come out to play. I’m a player too. The thing? I can’t be touched. But I can make life miserable for the not so lucky.

Bringing in Sring
[image error]
Last week was a rough week. The winds here kicked up to over 50 miles an hour, trampolines blew into trees, cars were swerving on the road due to wind gusts, and now we’re under a stage 1 fire restriction. And almost everyone I met was cranky and rude. It’s incredible how the weather has such an effect on people. I even started to pick up an unhealthy attitude. Thank goodness I recognized it early and was able to rebalance myself. It’s not easy talking to overly cranky people.
This week? The weather has been beautiful, tensions have eased off, and I have a hummingbird that continues to come up to my porch to remind me to make it food. Now, I feel like we are finally bringing in spring, and to celebrate the warmer days, I’m running a special on my short story books and collections.
HAPPY SPRING EVERYONE!!

Search Engine Optimization #SEO
Search Engine Optimization
Your eyes blur-Your brain takes a vacation- You feel the desperate need for a nap.
[image error]SEO for writers who are dummies when it comes down to technical. Include me in the SEO dummy category.
I have two novels and three short stories under my belt. I’ve built my website and integrated my blog and website together. I’m creative-not technical.
Recently I’ve been reading about SEO. A must for authors who own a blog and/or website. You’ve written a book. You want it to sell. You want to see your name in the google rankings spotlight. At least, I do. I installed an SEO plugin on my Website a while back and forgot about it until I recently looked myself up on Google. It wasn’t pretty. The plugin wasn’t doing what I expected it to do. It wasn’t even compatible with my website anymore.
Fine. I didn’t know much about SEO, but it was time to figure it out. I found numerous post on Search Engine Optimization. H1, h2, h3 headings, entering shortcode. Using bold, italics, hashtags. I spent hours reading these posts and yes, I did feel the desperate need for a nap. I have a day job, a family to take care of, and I write. Entering shortcode? Not. And the bold, italics, hashtags verdict is still out. Those may or may not help SEO rankings. Is it still worth taking the extra time to use them? I think so. But I also needed a good plugin. I spent more time reading up on the different SEO plugins available for my website. Yawn. Tired and confused.
After searching the internet and reading about SEO until my brain felt like it was going to explode, I logged into twitter. Anyone know of a great WordPress SEO plugin? I asked cyberspace. I received a reply back from All in One SEO plugin.
All in One SEO plugin for WordPress is easy to set up.
The guidelines: They are not a third party plugin.
The perks: (Here are a few of many)
XML Sitemap support – submits your sitemap to Google and Bing and improves your SEO
Google Analytics support
Automatically optimizes your titles for Google and other search engines
Generates META tags automatically
*For beginners, you don’t even need to look at the options, it works out-of-the-box. Just install.
For advanced users, you can fine-tune everything to optimize your SEO
Compatibility with many other plugins
Since my blog and website are already integrated this is a perfect match for me. I need to concentrate on my writing not Social Engine Optimization.
All in One SEO offers free and pro versions and it only took me about two hours to set up. I had to play around with it. A neat feature is that you can write up your post, scroll to the bottom of the page and add your title, description, and keywords. If you chose to make that information different from what All in One generates.
As a writer, I started out strong when I first set up my blog and began posting lazy content somewhere along the way. Over the years, I went from saying Hey, I’m Here to getting a low score on the google totem pole. What I found is blog less. Make it real. Something I used to do. I’m not sure what happened.
A little extra effort in your blog content and research finding and installing a good SEO plugin frees up your personal time to write that epic novel sitting on the back burner.
Write smart- SEO smart- save time.
Since finding this plugin I have gone back to school to learn more about SEO. Now I am more educated on Search Engine Optimization-And I’m now more appreciative I was led to All In one SEO plugin for WordPress!
