Doctorow's Walkaway, Demon and Freedom(TM) by Daniel Suarez, Bruce Sterling's The Caryatids, and Woman on the Edge of time by Marge Piercy, are some of the best solarpunk I've ever read. Ernest Callenbach's Ecotopia novels, and Poul Anderson's "Maurai" universe, are also excellent. For nonfiction, this by Eric Hunting is probably the best:
