Forgotten Awakenings: Now Available!
~*~Summary~*~
Two bullets — one just under her right breast and the other in the middle of her left leg. That’s all it had taken to destroy Elle Reid, to leave her weak and useless. Just two little bullets.
Elle gave into her desires and allowed herself to love. The road to redemption hasn't been easy for her, or her lovers, but together, she, Sadie, Callum, and Derek strive for a life of peace and harmony. But will they get their happily ever after, or will a madwoman's quest for revenge shattered their dreams?
~*~Excerpt~*~
“How much longer?” Sadie grumbled, one hand resting casually on Elle’s knee. Callum sat on the other side of Elle, his arm stretched across the back of the red, vinyl bench they were perched on while waiting for a table. Derek sat next to Sadie, who was dragging her fingers through his dark hair. When they arrived at The Sardine Can, a charming little seafood joint down on the pier, there had been a small wait, but several other patrons had been seated before them — people who had arrived after they did. Elle tried to brush it off, while Sadie had made her displeasure clear by huffing, complaining loudly, and outright whining about the wait.“I’ll go ask her again.” Derek kissed the side of Sadie’s head before he walked over to the hostess, and once again asked how much longer were going to have to wait. An annoyed expression filled his face as he nodded at whatever she’d told him and walked back over to them. “She said it’ll be at least another twenty minutes,” he grumbled, sliding onto the bench next to Sadie. He took hold of her hand, lifting it to his lips. “Though, there are at least five empty tables.”“Hmm,” Elle hummed, shifting her attention back to the podium, noticing the way the hostess was glaring at them, and in that moment, their long wait made sense. “Ah, of course.”“Of course what?” Callum asked, his confusion evident. With a shake of her head, Elle shifted her eyes to him. “It’s us. She has a problem with us.”~*~Biography~*~

Goodreads Book LinkSynopsis
Lady Sophie MacIntyre has the voice of an angel, but due to her timid nature, no one ever hears it. After losing a bet to her conniving sister, Sophie auditions for the new musicale at the Regal Theatre run by handsome actor Zachary Newland. Though distracted by Zach’s elegant masculinity and her own nerves, she sings well and earns a role in the production. Zach is a confirmed bachelor, and his taste in women leans toward the glamorous and uninhibited…until he meets the demure Sophie. Her delicate soprano and understated beauty captivate him. She responds to his inappropriate kiss, but quickly dismisses the heat between them. She’s a lady of the peerage, after all, and not one to associate with a rake like him. Zach, however, is not so easily dissuaded. He gets what he wants, and he intends to help Sophie find her true voice…in more ways than one.Buy LinksAmazon Print: http://amzn.to/1YOzQOZB&N Print: http://bit.ly/1JB7u4wiBooks: http://apple.co/1N10cd9Kobo: http://bit.ly/1WK1DfFGoogle Play: http://bit.ly/1iLKo0hBooks-A-Million: http://bit.ly/1Ms1gW6 Kindle: http://amzn.to/1Y5rBwN ExcerptZach rushed out of the theatre and into the lobby. No sign of Lady Sophie. Looking out the door, he spied her getting into a hansom cab. The cabbie had taken her hand and was helping her into the coach. He pushed the heavy glass door open and ran forward. “My lady, wait!”Lady Sophie turned around, her face flushing a lovely raspberry color. She arched her eyebrows.“If I may have a moment?” he said.“I’m sorry. I am getting ready to leave for the Brighton estate, as you can see.”“Yes, yes.” He turned to the cabbie. “You may go on. I’ll arrange for Lady Sophie’s transport in a few moments.”“Yes, sir.” The cabbie tipped his hat.“Mr. Newland”—Sophie cleared her throat gently—“what is this about? This is highly irregular, not to mention improper.”“Yes, my lady, and I offer you my apologies. However, I could not let you leave without telling you how thoroughly I enjoyed your audition. I would like to offer you a leading role in the new musicale.”“How are you able to offer me anything? You haven’t heard the other auditions yet.”“I am familiar with all of the other actors and actresses who will be auditioning today. I know their voices. None of them can come close to you, my lady.”Sophie fidgeted with her reticule. “I’m afraid, Mr. Newland, that I will be unable to accept a role in the production.”What? Not able to accept? Did this woman have any idea of the talent she possessed? Her pink lips trembled ever so slightly, and her cheeks deepened from raspberry to aubergine. Zach gulped, his pulse quickening. Had anyone kissed those lips? How they beckoned him. Sophie was of average height, coming up to his chest. He again eyed her dazzling blond hair swept up tight with only a few wispy curls free. How might it look flowing freely over her milky-white shoulders? Over her pert breasts?“If you would be so kind, Mr. Newland…”Zach stood, mouth agape. She had said something after his name, but he had heard no words. Only that voice, that voice from an angel, swirled around his head. He could not get enough of it. Still those rosy lips trembled, calling to him.He couldn’t help himself. He gripped her shoulders, lowered his head, and pressed his lips to hers.

Exclusive Excerpt:
CHAPTER 1Libby Klink gripped the wheel of her Sonata tighter. She squeezed her eyes shut against the gridlock of makes, models and metal surrounding her; against the stone cold gray of the highway’s Jersey barrier, four inches from her left side view mirror.Just a traffic jam.Her body knew different. Her pulse raced. Her blood, her brain wailed, frantic with the rhythm. She battled the stars claiming her vision, gulping air into her lungs. Shaking, she rummaged in her purse until her fingers closed around a prescription bottle. Flipping open the lid, she snatched one white round pill and downed it with a swallow from the ever present water bottle in her drink holder. Sweat glazed her scalp, her neck, her armpits. She shivered inside her lightweight cardigan and scraped her ponytail away from her damp skin.Just a road.Like hell. More like a cattle chute. She’d been sitting here, what, ten minutes? She lowered the driver side window to breathe in greedy mouthfuls of early April air. And willed the meds to kick in, trying not to think about the fact she was effectively trapped. On I-279 South. About a quarter mile outside the city of Pittsburgh. Or that she had to pee.She closed her eyes, tried to conjure soothing mental imagery; a forest, a beach. Wasn’t that what her therapist taught her to do? But other thoughts and images crowded her mind. The cashier at the grocery store two nights ago.The barista at the coffee house this morning. The smells. The dreams. If that’s what they are.About Rebecca E. ~~*~~ EXCERPT~~*~~
Part of her wanted to test him. He’d kissed her; she could still feel the pressure of his mouth on hers, still had the taste of him on her tongue. The idea of him punishing her made her shiver, both with fear and longing. What would he do to her? How far would he take it?“I heard people beyond the walls,” she admitted. “I wanted to know how to get out there.”“Flower?” He growled his warning. She held his gaze. “I only wanted to know.” He looked over to Tudor. “Wait for me in my office.”The older man nodded, and turned to leave. He took her by the upper arm and gave her a small shove to get her moving, before frog-marching her down the hallway, back toward her room. This time she didn’t care that he was making her go back there. Her heart raced, but not because she was frightened of being locked up, or that he would hurt her. She’d sensed the relationship between them growing. Yes, he was dangerous—she didn’t doubt that for a moment—but he also hummed with the sort of sexual tension she’d never come across before. For years, she’d gone without any kind of sexual contact—or even contact in general. After what she’d been through as a young adult, she’d never met anyone who’d awakened that side of her. And yet Monster did. She couldn’t explain it. Just being near him excited her. When he touched her, her inner core tightened, her whole body vibrating with lust which coiled downward, condensing between her thighs. Her breath came hard and he pushed her toward her bedroom door, and into her room. He slammed the door behind him with one hand, the other hand keeping a firm hold on her arm.He pushed her back against the wall, pinning her against it.His dark eyes bored into hers. “Why did you let me kiss you back there?”She stared back. “Because you’re supposed to own me. Doesn’t that mean you can do what you want?”“Yes, yes it does. But you’ve never been someone who didn’t put up a fight.”“Is that what you want?” she challenged. “Would you prefer it if I fought you?”Slowly, he shook his head. “Don’t do this, Flower. I’m already supposed to be punishing you for not doing what you were told.”“So do it, then. What are you waiting for?”“You’re supposed to hate being touched.”“So?”What are you doing? Her mind screamed at her. Why are you provoking him? Yet her whole body buzzed with excitement. She wanted to know what he’d do next.“You don’t act like you hate it.”“Maybe I just got good at pretending.”He stared at her and she caught her breath. Monster took a step toward her, closing the already small gap between them. His big body pressed against hers, and he reached up with the hand not holding her arm, and stroked her cheek, his finger slipping down, across her jaw bone, and down the side of her neck, pushing her hair away from her throat. He leaned in even closer, his mouth against her ear. “Tell me you don’t like it when I touch you.”His other hand released her arm and stroked down the side of her body, brushing her breast. She trembled in his grasp, her whole body vibrating. Even her breath shook as it left her lips, but she wanted this. Even if it made her crazy, she still wanted him.His thumb brushed her nipple, and it crinkled hard in response. He paused, his hand moving to cup the heavy weight of her breast, and then his thumb and forefinger closed over the peak. The brush against her nipple turned into a pinch which sent shock waves of pain and pleasure through her body.Lily let out a groan, her body sagging. She wanted to lean against him, to swallow the small amount of space which still remained between their bodies, but he held her away, her back pressed up against the wall behind.“I know you like that,” he spoke against her ear, his breath hot on her lobe. His lips tickled the sensitive spot right behind her ear lobe, and then his tongue made contact with her skin, tracing a cool, wet trail down her throat.Lily whimpered as the lick turned into a kiss, and the kiss turned into a gentle bite, nipping the skin of her throat between his teeth. His hand left her breast and moved lower, down, across her stomach, and to the waistband of her pants. He paused. “This is a punishment, remember? Tell me to stop.”“No!” she gasped.“Do it, Flower. Tell me to stop.”She shook her head frantically. “I don’t want you to stop.”“Say it, or I will.”Was this some kind of game he was playing? “Okay,” she relented, realizing it was the only way she’d get him to continue. “Stop! I want you to stop.”“That’s more like it,” he growled, and he yanked at the waist band of the pants she wore, popping the buttons and ripping apart the zipper. And then his hand was plunging down, beneath the elastic of the simple cotton panties she wore, and down between her legs. His hand slipped across the top of her mound, his fingertips trailing through her tight curls. His index finger pressed between her folds, coaxing her open to him, and she stepped her legs apart, trying not to think about how wet she already was. Roughly, he pushed a finger inside her, and her legs went weak. She pressed the back of her head against the wall, her eyes rolling. “Oh, God.”“Tell me to stop,” he growled again.”“Oh, stop, please Monster. He pushed another finger inside her and she gave a cry. How had she gone so long without this kind of pleasure in her life? The ball of his hand pressed against the bud of nerves at the apex of her thighs, and she ground against him, wanting to somehow dissolve into him, to clutch to him, hold him tight and never let go. She knew this was wrong—that wanting him like this was wrong—but she’d never met anyone like him before, and something about him spoke to her on every level. His mouth left her neck and captured her lips, kissing her firmly and forcefully, as he continued to work his fingers inside her. He obviously wasn’t interested in hearing her tell him no anymore. One hand still pinned her against the wall, while the other thrust deep inside her. She was trapped between his hard body and the hard wall, his mouth forcefully over hers, his fingers inside her. She felt utterly helpless, and completely bent to his will, and she wouldn’t have had it any other way.Her pleasure began to build, coiling tighter and tighter like a spring, ready to spring open and drown her in its waves. She rode the sensation, not wanting to lose it for a second, frightened it might somehow vanish. She knew she was going to orgasm—something she’d only ever done on her own for the past ten years—and while she wanted to reach that peak, the other part of her didn’t want to get there, knowing this bliss would end when she did.But Monster was too talented with his touch. He curled his fingers inside her, and she could hold off no more. Lily cried out into his mouth as she came, the rolls of exquisite ecstasy battering her into complete submission. Her fingers clutched at the sleeve of his shirt, as the final throes of her orgasm shuddered through her, trying to find something to steady herself on. Her whole body went weak, her mind still hazy from what had just happened.Monster slipped his fingers from her body, and placed them to his lips. “Now I don’t have to imagine what you taste like,” he said, his dark features dangerous and hooded with lust. He parted his lips and slowly inserted his finger, coating his tongue with her cream. He removed his finger from his mouth and took a step back. The corner of his lips turned up in a smirk. “Now, I know.”And with that, he turned from the room and left.A second later, she heard the lock click into place.

#TeaserTuesday: Politically Incorrect by Jeanne McDonald
Here's a little peek at what Jeanne McDonald is currently working on.
Sex. Lies. Greed. Power. Scandal. Politics.
Nothing gets by Elizabeth McNeal. As a forty-five year old divorcee and a nationally renowned political strategist, she can claim to have seen it all. Most of her adult life she’s focused on two important things ─ her daughter and her career. Now, challenged by a new campaign and a new candidate, Elizabeth is forced to reevaluate the things she most values and make some major decisions that could impact her future.
William Baxter is a thirty-four year old Democratic Congressman for the great state of Texas who’s vying for an empty seat in the U.S. Senate. Accustomed to standing out in a crowd, Liam takes pride in being true to himself and the people he serves. He refuses to fall in line with the stereotypical persona of a politician. Backed by one of the richest men in Texas, Liam is offered the chance to work with D.C.’s most elite political strategist. With the odds already against him because of his party affiliation and age, it’s an offer he can’t refuse.
Apprehensive about their age differences and driven by politics, Elizabeth finds herself keeping score of their sensual game for control. For the woman who thought she’d seen it all, the man in the eccentric ties and a dashing smile teaches her a new game to play. Rules are made to be broken. Lines are meant to be crossed. But in the high stakes sport of politics, where one bad decision can destroy a campaign, can they afford to rewrite the rules to meet their desires or will they choose to remain politically incorrect?
Jeanne McDonald is an author, a mother, a wife, a student of knowledge and of life, a coffee addict, a philosophy novice, a pop culture connoisseur, inspired by music, encouraged by words, and a believer in true love. When she's not spending time with her family, she can be found reading, writing, enjoying a great film, chatting with friends or diligently working toward her bachelor's degree in literature. A proud Texan, Jeanne currently resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with her family.

Mountain Charm by Sidney Logan
Today is the release day for Mountain Charm by Sydney Logan!! I am so excited to share this gorgeous new book. Sydney is sharing an excerpt with us, and a giveaway, so be sure to check it all out!!
About Mountain Charm: “True love and sweet whispers, till death do us part; Send someone to love my Appalachian heart.” At the age of thirteen, Angelina Clark followed in the footsteps of her ancestors by casting an Appalachian love spell, which promised she would find her true love. A young Angelina had been thrilled to participate in the ritual, but through the years, her father’s untimely death and her mother’s illness have shaken Angelina’s magical faith to its core. Now, as her twenty-first birthday approaches, she refuses to practice her supernatural gifts and no longer believes in the love charm. That is, until Dylan Thomas arrives on her front porch. Dylan, a Nashville writer, travels to the mountain town of Maple Ridge to unearth the family’s supernatural secrets. While her clairvoyant mother is convinced that Dylan is her daughter’s soul mate, Angelina refuses to see the nosy reporter as anything more than a nuisance. The two grow closer just as her mother’s health takes a turn for the worse. Faced with mounting medical bills, Angelina is faced with selling the family’s music shop to make ends meet. Desperate to help the woman he loves, Dylan explores his own family tree and finds support from an unlikely source. Can Dylan prove his love is real—spell or no spell? Buy Links: Amazon
Exclusive Excerpt: The bar was the biggest redneck tavern he’d ever seen in his life, but the music was loud and the beer was cheap. Which would explain his present state of intoxication. The bartender offered him another bottle, but Dylan declined. He needed to sober up if he had any chance of driving home tonight. “You’re that reporter from Nashville, aren’t you? Doing the story on Angelina Clark and her mom.” Dylan’s body shivered at the mention of her name, and he cursed under his breath. Escaping her, even in a dump like this, was impossible. “They’re good people,” the bartender said. Dylan couldn’t remember his name. Mel? Max? It was an M, definitely. “Yes, they are.” “Angelina’s a sweetheart,” the man continued. “That ex of hers sure treated her badly.” Dylan nodded. “He better pray I never see him again, because if I do, I’ll beat the shit out of him.” The bartender grinned and pointed toward the pool tables. “Is that a promise?” Dylan couldn’t believe his eyes. Standing there, laughing and drinking with his buddies, was Adam McDonald. They spotted each other at the same time, and Adam smirked. He said something to his friends and dropped his pool stick before heading to the bar. “You look like you could use another,” Adam said, his voice slurring a little as he waved to the bartender. He slapped Dylan on the shoulder. “Look, man, I’m going to give you a little advice. If you’re waiting to get into Angelina’s pants, don’t bother, because you’ll be waiting a long time.” Dylan’s entire body bristled at the mention of her name on the bastard’s lips. He wasn’t so drunk that he didn’t take a moment to consider the consequences of his actions. This was a redneck bar, and it was quite possible he’d get his ass kicked. Then he thought of Angelina’s sweet face, her pretty eyes, and her cinnamon kiss. Worth it. About Sydney Logan: Sydney Logan is the bestselling author of six novels. She has also penned several short stories and is a contributor to Chicken Soup for the Soul. A lover of music, she fills her playlist with everyone from Johnny Cash to Eminem. Excerpt
“Thank you for coming with me. I don’t know if I would have been able to do what you did.” Matthew smirked, trying to lighten the mood. “At least, not with the same results.”Cali blushed and Matthew almost lost it. He wanted to touch her, to crush her body against his and kiss her within an inch of her life.Instead, he backed toward the elevators. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”She grinned and began walking to her car.He hesitated, then shook his head and continued toward the elevator. As he waited for the elevator to reach him, he heard an engine rev. A small smile pulled at his lips as he thought of Cali heading home. The elevator dinged right as a squeal of tires caught his attention. He whirled around in time to see a dark blue sedan he didn’t recognize speed up the exit ramp. His heart pounded in his chest as he took off at a full-out run.
Cali.

Author Bio
Sherri spent most of her childhood detesting English class. It was one of her least favorite subjects because she never seemed to fit into the standard mold. She wasn't good at spelling, or following grammar rules, and outlines made her head spin. For that reason, Sherri never imagined becoming an author. At the age of thirty, all of that changed. After getting frustrated with the direction a television show was taking two of its characters, Sherri decided to try her hand at writing an alternate ending, and give the characters their happily ever after. By the time the story finished, it was one of the top ten read stories on the site, and her readers were encouraging her to write more.Nearly eight years later, Sherri is the author of eight full-length novels, and two short stories. Writing has become a creative outlet that allows her to explore a wide range of emotions, while having fun taking her characters through all the twists and turns she can create. Beth Davenport has no interest in getting involved with another man for the foreseeable future. To say her last relationship ended in disaster would be a colossal understatement. The only reason she agrees to put in an appearance at Serpent’s Kiss, a private kink club in downtown St. Louis, is because her best friend, Nicole, won’t quit nagging her. When she walks in the door that night, the last thing she expects to do is meet a man who will have her reconsidering her ban on men.As a captain with the St. Louis Fire Department, Drew Parker is used to being in charge. His crew relies on him to make sure they know what they’re doing and return home to their families after every shift. It isn’t, however, what he wants in a relationship. Drew decides to join Serpent’s Kiss to see if what appeals to him in fantasy is something he wants to explore in the real world. He’s also hoping that he’ll be lucky enough to meet a woman with whom he can explore his desires. The night Beth walks into the club, he is intrigued. Drew has to get to know her better.
After what happened to her, Beth is reluctant to get involved with Drew. It doesn’t matter that he is sweet and charming. She’s been burned before and Beth doesn’t think she can survive having her heart crushed again. Drew, however, won’t take no for an answer. He wants a relationship and is determined to chip away at her defenses until she relents. Will she give him a chance, or did her ex leave her with scars too deep to heal?

#TeaserTuesday: Mountain Charm by Sydney Logan
Today's Teaser Tuesday comes from Sydney Logan. She's re-releasing her novel, Mountain Charm, with a new cover, new publisher, and new price.
Title: Mountain CharmAuthor: Sydney LoganGenre: New Adult/Paranormal RomanceCover Designer: T.M. FranklinRelease Day: January 30
“True love and sweet whispers, till death do us part;Send someone to love my Appalachian heart.” At the age of thirteen, Angelina Clark followed in the footsteps of her ancestors by casting an Appalachian love spell, which promised she would find her true love.
“Angelina, I’m not rational when it comes to you. It’s driving me a little nuts, to be honest. I wasn’t exaggerating earlier when I said you’re all I think about. I’ve done nothing but think about you since the moment we met. I’ve never been this . . . consumed by a woman before, and I have no idea how to handle it. I am so drawn to you, and I know it sounds crazy because we don’t know each other at all, but I can’t help how I feel. And after last night’s kiss, I know you feel it, too. I know you do.”
If she’d been any other woman, Dylan's speech would have sent her heart into a frantic dance. Instead, Angelina felt nothing but sadness, because she knew why he felt so consumed, and it had absolutely nothing to do with her.
He reached for her hand. “Say something, please.”
They stared into each other’s eyes, and she swallowed anxiously, struggling to find the words he needed to hear. Something that would explain the madness. But what could she say? When I was thirteen years old, I wished for you?
Anything she might say would come out wrong. Instead, she took both his hands and gently traced her fingers over the cuts along his knuckles.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve done this, so it might not work.”
Dylan looked confused as she took a deep breath and tenderly stroked his hands. Angelina felt the tingling rush to her fingertips, and it was the heat that let her know it was working. It had been years since she’d even tried.
It only took a moment, and when Dylan finally looked down at his hands, the tiny scratches that had marred his flesh were completely healed.
“All better.”
Dylan’s eyes snapped to hers and then back to his hands once again. There were no cuts, no bruises, no sign that he’d been in a fight.
“How?” His eyes were wide with disbelief.
“You’ve probably heard that all of the women in my mother’s family have certain gifts. I’m a . . . healer. And you were right. My touch heals, but it doesn’t cure.”
Dylan stared as his hands, as if he was trying to find some logical response to what he’d just witnessed.
It was true. It was all true.
“Which explains why you couldn’t save your father,” he said.
“And I won’t be able to save my mom.”
“But there’s still hope for your mom, right?”
Tears swam in her eyes, and she nodded. Hope was all she had. There was no magical cure for cancer. No spell or enchantment that could wipe it away.
Dylan leaned closer, and she trembled as his hand cupped her face.
“You’re a witch.”
“A reluctant one, but yes.”
Dylan chuckled and nuzzled her cheek.
“Well, that makes perfect sense because I’m pretty sure you’ve performed some kind of wicked voodoo to make me fall head over heels in love with you.”
Angelina knew he was only joking, but his teasing words still pierced her soul.
What if I have?

"One of the best books I have ever read."

“It’s us. She has a problem with us.”
