New (school) Year’s Resolutions!

Hi Everyone!

Ally here. I hope you’re all back in the groove of school, sports, and socializing!

Even though I no longer go to school, there’s something exciting about this time of year. I feel it makes a much nicer fresh start and clean slate than January 1. So I always like to make some New School Year’s Resolutions!

For example:

Move more. Seriously. I’ve got a FitBit. Time to use it!

Blog more. Seriously. You guys are awesome, and I like talking to you!

Write more. Seriously. Best job eve...

Take the Key and Lock Her Up!

Behold, a thing of beauty!

The wonderful Editor David has given me the green light to share the FULL cover for Embassy Row 3, TAKE THE KEY AND LOCK HER UP!

Isn’t it gorgeous?!

And if you look really carefully, you can even see the full book description.

Take the Key full cover flat

But if you can’t look carefully, here it is:

THE PRINCESS IS DEAD.
LONG LIVE THE PRINCESS.

Centuries ago, the royal family of Adria was killed . . . or so everyone thought.
Now Grace Blakely knows t...

End of summer. End of an era.

Hi everyone!

Ally here. I hope you’re all enjoying your last days of freedom…I mean summer. And I realize as I type this that some of you might actually be back in school already! I salute you!

I hate to see summer go, but I’m probably a little more teary than usual, because I’m also saying goodbye to Grace, Noah, Alexei, Megan, Rosie, and the rest of the gang from Embassy Row.

It has been a fast, terrifying, and wonderful ride, and I’m sad to see it end. But I’m also thrilled to start workin...

eBook file updates

HI all,

I’ve been hearing from some of you that your eBook Gallagher Girl files have not synced or updated correctly to include the new epilogues.

I’m really sorry! And I’m actually in the same boat. (Embarrassing confession time: I bought several of the books as eBooks so that I’d have finished copies with me wherever I went.) And those haven’t updated yet either!

So I emailed my awesome editor, Julie, about it (hi, Julie!), and she offered the following wisdom:

To enable Automatic Book Upd...

A love letter to my new shoes

Hi Everyone!

I’ve emerged from the Deadline Cave (AKA a booth at Panera Bread) to bring you a post about something important: shoes.

I bought these new shoes at the beginning of summer, and they have been so incredibly comfortable that I wear them most days. And every time I wear them someone compliments me on them!

I finally decided to share a buy link with the world, because the world needs its feet to hurt less.

Here they are:

They’re called JBU by Jambu and I love them. You can buy them...

A love letter to my Alphasmart

Anyone who follows me on twitter… Or has seen me speak on a panel… Or has sat beside me on an airplane…

Has heard me wax poetic about my Alphasmart.

What’s an Alphasmart, you (and 98% of the people I meet) might ask?

Well, it’s an old-school word processor on which I’ve written the first draft of every book I’ve written since CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO SPY.

So that’s…10 books, one novella, a short story, and countless other things that may never see the light of day.

It’s a lot of words, in o...

The GG Anniversary Editions are here!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you’re all having a great start of summer! For me, personally, I was actually on holiday last week, so I wasn’t able to post on June 14th to wish everyone a HAPPY GALLAGHER GIRLS ANNIVERSARY EDITION PUBLICATION DAY!

It’s very hard for me to believe that the Gallagher Girl series is ten years old (I’D TELL YOU I LOVE YOU BUT THEN I’D HAVE TO KILL YOU was published in 2006).

And I’m so grateful to Disney-Hyperion for putting the books out into the world and now for putting t...
