Magnet Madness...

I never thought I would have to start putting my fridge magnets on the side of the wall, instead of just on the front! LOL. But that's where it at LOL!

ZERO!!

The very first thing I ever professionally worked on for a magazine, as a kid in England. It was called "Zero" and me and five friends (me, Caroline, Robert, Colette, Trevor and Barbara) put it all together.  This was in the era of Letraset, typewriters and other clunky, old crappy technology! LOL. But, for around a year and a half we earned a living selling the self-made magazine for the kids around town. Fun times!

The Vermont Monster Guide

Back in 2009, I reviewed a then new book, The Vermont Monster Guide. Well, there's a recent, updated version available right now, and I'll be reviewing it soon.

And here's the info from the publisher:

"Though not widely acknowledged, the Green Mountain state is home to more winged wonders, wet weirdoes, and crypto creatures than any other state in the country. You probably know about Champ, the elusive monster of Lake Champlain. But what about Northfield's Pigman? And Richford's The Awful? Wherever you are in Vermont--in town or country, river or lake, land or sky--you're never far from the unknown. Or the unexpected.Joseph A. Citro, respected monster hunter, brings to light over sixty Vermonsters, many captured in exquisite, ghoulish detail by the pen, brush, and ink of artist Stephen R. Bissette. Designed as both a cautionary tale and handy field manual for those who dare, The Vermont Monster Guide will be of interest to natives and tourists, to young and old...though it may not be suitable for readers with fragile constitutions.WARNING: The Author, Illustrator and Publisher are NOT responsible for any unfortunate encounters that may result from the reading of this book."

A New Book on the Rendlesham Forest Affair: Coming Very Soon!

A couple of weeks ago, John Burroughs very generously gave me a copy of his forthcoming book on the Rendlesham Forest incident of December 1980. The book is going to open a lot of eyes!! Secret experiments, government programs, weirdness in the woods and much more! Its title Weaponisation of an Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon . I'll be doing a big review soon...

Timothy Leary and the FBI

For those who may be interested (and there's sure to be a lot!) the FBI has placed it's now-declassified file on Timothy Leary online at its site, The Vault. It runs to 513 pages and contains a lot of interesting info!

 Here's the link...
