Sharing your writing is wonderful, and getting your story in the hands of readers feels awesome, but there's something major to be said for the time when a story is just yours. When you're discovering the characters and setting, and when you're trying new things and challenging yourself as a writer. The story is truly yours at that point, and, for me, that's when the writing is the most fun. Putting your work out there is so valuable, but so is that moment of creation.(less)
