vampire website

Hi everyone I have just created a new vampire website ready to show off my vampire book coming out next year, but the site is still a little boring, and I am in need of some help.

www.FangsRule.com

Fangs Rule (get it?) as in fangs rule guys drool.....

It is very empty so far as I only created it last night, so anyone please help:

1. Any suggestions for good vampire sites to link to.

2. Anyone has any vampire drawings that I can put on the site or so that I can do up a few pages on drawings of sexy female vampires and sexy male vampires. if you have lots I could do a dedicated page to just you or link to your drawings on your own website.

3. What the site looks like? This the best I can do with my programming skills I still do everything in html but if anyone can make some suggestions I would like to hear them.

4. Have any of you got your own vampire site that you would like to swap links to?

5. I have do a little night music section linked to Youtube have you found any music on youtube which may be good to have links to?

6. So any ideas and help much appreciated.

Nocturne Romance Reads

This little advert has just poped up on my bookgroup so I took a look

Nocturne Romance Reads is holding a giveaway for 4 books in The Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole. Please visit http://www.nocturnereads.webs.com/

I have found the bookgroup Alpha Vixens attached to nocturnereads very lonely as I think I am the only real member in it, can not see what they plan to do with it apart from having me running down the corridors shouting where is everyone?.

Sex and the Succubus

Gentlemen Prefer Succubi by Jill Myles the first book in the Succubus Diaries, if you have read my other book reviews you will see that I don’t always talk about the books story line as the Authors description would be better than mine as she wrote and I did not! What I will talk about is what I liked and disliked when reading the book.

So here goes: The clue to what the book is about is that she is a succubus if you are not sure that this means then look it up.

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/64...

Liked: Well the little book trailer by the authors husband is simple but very easy to follow, take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qJwrG... the trailer got my interest so I ordered a copy and found it fun to read, a light easy plot as you follow the main character on a sexual romp with handsome Fallen Angels and Smoking Hot Vampires, don’t look for high literature, the story is about a Succubus, so it has to have lots of sex or they would have to change the title, this new at the job Succubus girl does not want a guy to watch her sleep but to be a dream lover!

General: Age range? Well it is a good late teen read as the sex is all normal stuff and nothing too purvey goes on, OK girls if you have to ask your Mom why Jackie likes the spin cycle on her washing machine then you are too young to read it, as to the boys hide it with your porn mags, not that it is porn but it is not cool to be seen reading a book with a hot half naked man on it and besides if your Dad finds it he will want to read it first!

Disliked: Personally I think the book could have been produced better, cheap mass market paperbacks are never the nicest type of book to own, larger gap around the text would look nicer and if you buy a copy DO NOT read the back cover as it contains spoilers and gives away plot information which is not know to the reader before page approx 200 in a 300 plus page book, if I wanted to know the plot in advance I would start in the centre of the book and not have the publisher tell me.

The cover is good for female readers as it shows a hot looking guy but if they want more male readers then they should have Remy on at least one of the book covers in the series, in fact someone should start a Remy fan club, what to know who Remy is? Well read the book!

To finish off if you are into vampires take a look at the goodreads vampire bookgroups like Vampire Books, Fans, Fangs and Writers at where this book is featured:

Don't read our book if you are not American !

Just me moaning again, I was looking forward to reading the book now I can't have it due to not living in the USA!

My email to them:

Ho yes I now see you say limited to US Residents, but that is only on the website but not on the advert see below copy of your add you placed in my book group, as you see it in no way states a caveat about location discrimination:

I know the English language has different meanings around the world in that you can say things like poor people but not white trash.

Why I say this is that to have a location demographic discrimination policy is like saying we will not send books to anyone who is black in color as we do not have good sales in the black community.

The book trade has to be international and be available to all races so to place your advert on an international bookgroup and then say the members of that bookgroup can not take part, well this does sound like a form of discrimination and like the earlier example to say you do not deal with blacks because you get poor sales from the black community can be taken not so much as a sales technique but imagine how the black community would take that wording and think you are saying we do not deal with blacks as you are superior top them, so saying we do not wish to deal with people outside of the USA is like saying we are superior in the USA and that we do not wish our books to be read beyond our national borders.

I give out free copies of our publications in competitions to people all over the world and the postage difference has to be taken into account but it is not that great compared to the extra sales you get internationally as I would hope that they would like what they read and buy others in the series.

Just think how you would feel if I said please enter my competition for a free book but not if you are American!

You may disagree with my thinking on this and of course I may be mistaken that other non North American goodread members would feel disappointed in not receiving a book that they have won so I am happy to ask my group members what they think.

(I still think your advert was misleading as I said I have copied it for you to see:)

Looks like I have won a copy but they were surprised that we do not all live in the US! They now say I can not have the book as I do not in the USA. but as we created the post office in the UK I think we can still get post over here, I will keep you up dated on this and give you a review when I have read it.
What does everyone think about this?

I Am a God…… I Am Omnipotent!!!

OK when was the last time you stood up in a shopping mall and shouted out to the whole world:

I Am a God…… I Am Omnipotent!!!

Ok, Ok nor have I, my wife already looks at me in a funny way when I talk to the fish in our pond and as to worshiping me, they do not even like me, I’m the only one that feeds them and they still hide from me.

But being a writer means you have to create a world and populate it, you control the day to day lives of all on the world, you make it as real as possible for your readers and still you have this nagging fear that someone will notice that no one ever goes to the bathroom or if they do it is only to get shot, raped or sent off to a parallel dimension where lizards are playing baseball.

So being a god is really nothing to shout about !

A fantasy novelist is:

A fantasy novelist is:

Someone who lives in a world of their own, where people can fly and trains run on time.

Sometimes hears voices in theirs heads and believe this is normal

Not only believes in dragons but will spend hours at a party explaining how they can breath fire and not get burnt.

Ho yes and can get away with the above and not be locked away and have to try and eat steak with a plastic spoon ! lol
