Guest Blogging: Never Too Late For Romance

I'm still celebrating the release of ONCE AGAIN, my debut YA Paranormal novel! Today, I'm honored to visit author Donna McDonald at her blog, Never Too Late For Romance.  I hope you'll stop by and see what Donna and I are talking about!

And just a reminder... ONCE AGAIN is now available for download at Amazon, B&N, and Smashwords.  If you know young readers... or young-at-heart readers... who love YA fiction, I'd be most grateful if you'd pass the word.

Thanks to everyone for all the support and encouragement.

Happy reading and writing.

Six Sentence Sunday: ONCE AGAIN

Welcome back for another edition of Six Sentence Sunday! Thanks in advance for your comments and encouragement. I look forward to visiting your blogs as well.

Today's snippet comes from ONCE AGAIN, my YA paranormal which is NOW AVAILABLE (happy dance!) for download at Amazon, B&N, and Smashwords.  When we left off last week, Layla had encountered some not-so-nice guys in the parking lot after her first day of school. Lucas intervened and has her all confused about his motivations.  The following six lines come from the conversation that immediately follows.

"Lucas Ellis, by the way." He extended his hand. "I realizedI didn't tell you my last name in lit class this morning."     "Layla Bradford." I put my hand in his, awed by the welcomingfeeling that enveloped not only my fingers and palm, but my entire body. Thetouch of his skin on mine sent excitement coursing through me, and a random thoughtwent through my mind – hadn't I known itwould be this way? - though I knew it was impossible.
Be sure to visit the official Six Sunday site, and find lots of other talented authors.  You can also follow on Twitter with the hashtag #sixsunday.
Happy reading and writing!

Accomplishment! ONCE AGAIN is now available!

There's something about accomplishing a goal that you setfor yourself that is satisfying in a way no other accomplishment is.  I felt it when I completed both semesters ofFreshman college English as a senior in high school… with an "A", no less.  I felt it when gave birth to my first child…a 10 pound 2 ounce baby boy… withOUT a C-section.  And I feel that same sense of accomplishmenttoday.
At 11 years old I decided I wanted to be a writer.  At age 29, I decided it was time to startmaking that dream happen. Today, almost 9 years later, my first novel ONCEAGAIN, is available in eBook format at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, andSmashwords
It's been a long journey of studying, learning, and practicingthe craft of writing… networking with other writers… and making writing apriority in my full, busy life.  Severalyears ago I found my "voice" in young adult fiction, and the inspiration forONCE AGAIN was born.  And this isn't theend of the journey.  It's just the nextstep.  But it feels good to finally gethere, to be able to take the next step.
So, it's with great joy that I introduce to you LaylaBradford and Lucas Ellis, the main characters of ONCE AGAIN. Just like me, theytake a journey, and over the course of their story they learn a lot aboutthemselves.  I hope you'll love them asmuch as I do.
ONCE AGAIN - available at:Amazon (Kindle)Barnes & Noble (Nook)Smashwords
The print version of ONCE AGAIN will be available soonfrom Amazon.
Thanks for coming along with me on this journey.  And stay tuned… there's more to come!  I'm nowhere near finished!
