Wolfish Teasing for The Keeper Finds Her Mate by Red Phoenix

I thought it would be lovely to share a few teasers with you. In January of 2012, I wrote a little story that had captured my heart and interest, but I was hesitant to pen it for two reasons. First, I don't care to follow trends & vamps and werewolves are pretty popular. Second, the Bonding Ritual held a secret that shocked me. However, I LOVED the character of Layla. She had a beautiful journey to share, so I held my breath and hit publish...
Fans of that little novelette asked for her story to continue, and unlike Brie, I actually had planned to continue Layla's story. Two years later, I am finally giving her a voice again. This is a romantic tale of duty, love and betrayal.
So, without further ado, here are the Keeper teasers. Enjoy!
Something felt off, but Layla couldn’t identify what was making her so edgy until she heard the howl of a strange wolf. The other clans were coming... (~Red Phoenix, The Keeper Part 2)
The animal heat that had been rolling off him in waves all evening had increased in power, making it impossible for her to ignore him. (~Red Phoenix, The Keeper Part 2)
He growled possessively as he pushed in further. He began stroking her with his shaft, grunting with each thrust, but then he shook his head. “More, I need more of you.” (~Red Phoenix, The Keeper Part 2)
It was the way of her people—this mating for life. It was beautiful in its strength of unity, but heartbreaking when one partner passed too early. (~Red Phoenix, The Keeper Part 2)
He did not stop licking as he continued to caress her inner walls, until the tension became so great that it burst into a glorious explosion of pleasure. (~Red Phoenix, The Keeper Part 2)
She matched the kiss with her own avarice hunger, longing to know every inch of her mate. (~Red Phoenix, The Keeper Part 2)
Normally, all objects of the dead were burned to return them to their owner, but Papa had kept this so that Mika could be a part of her daughter’s mating ceremony. (~Red Phoenix, The Keeper Part 2)
He crushed her to him then, his rough hands digging into her skin as his tongue demanded entrance into her mouth. When she yielded, he consumed her...
(~Red Phoenix, The Keeper Part 2)
Layla put her finger to his mouth to silence him. She smiled as she tip-toed, replacing her finger with her lips. He was stiff and unyielding until she whispered his name. (~Red Phoenix, The Keeper Part
He growled, deep and low, caught up in the intense pleasure of the moment. Every rejection he’d suffered, every humiliation he’d endured was worth this connection with her.
Someday she would know the man behind the hard exterior he presented to the world, and she would come to love him as deeply as he loved her. (~Red Phoenix, The Keeper Part 2)
She suddenly found it hard to breathe… Layla couldn’t take the pressure and did what came naturally. She stripped off her clothes, allowing the wolf spirit inside to have its way. (~Red Phoenix, The Keeper Part 2)
“Are you the one who will claim her, Maska of the East? For I know both Amira and Etan are already mated.”
Valen barked angrily. “She is promised.” (~Red Phoenix, The Keeper Part 2)
His warm tongue thawed the icy chill that had settled in her soul. When she didn’t move, he nudged her shoulder with his snout and whined softly. (~Red Phoenix, The Keeper Part 2)

Socrates (The Online Dom) by Red Phoenix is Out!

This is a stand alone novelette. Something that flooded my mind after a recent session with my hubby. I wasn't planning on writing Socrates and Kathryn's story because I have so many other books to write. However, this one demanded my time so I am following the muse. My muses have never let me down before.
* Kathryn is 49, curvy and curious.
* Socrates is a Spanish Dom who uses his online site to educate people about the BDSM lifestyle.
Socrates Inspires Cherry to Blossom:
Sometimes lives change with a single post…
Kathryn is known as Cherry Blossom by her online friends. Curvaceous and fiercely loyal, the forty-something finds herself in a unique place in her life… Enter Socrates, the online Dom.
His devotion to educating people new to the world of BDSM is something Kathryn greatly admires. Although she isn’t into kink, curiosity gets the best of her and she begins to correspond with the Spanish Dom.
One simple comment leads Kathryn into the passionate world of Dominance and submission where she uncovers truths about herself, and the incredible man she’s come to know and trust.
“It’s been my honor to introduce you to the woman you were meant to be.” ~Socrates

Last of the Teasers for Socrates by Red Phoenix - Coming Out January 26th!

Socrates the Spanish Dom will be coming out January 26, 2014 to an online bookstore near you. For a little fun, I thought I would share the last few teasers to get you ready for the big "Release". ;)
This particular tale started out as a short story inspired by a session with my husband, which grew into a novelette and then into a novella. The story of Socrates and Kathryn took on more depth as I worked with both characters.
Kathryn - AKA Cherry Blossom, is a woman finding herself in a unique place at the age of forty-nine.
Socrates - an online Dom who enjoys educating those new to the world of BDSM.
The Last of the Socrates Teasers:
The smell of him filled my senses—hot male, all musky with sweat caused by desire. Was there anything more intoxicating? (~Red Phoenix, Socrates)
His kiss was quick and gentle, but the feel of it lingered when he pulled away.
“Dulce,” he whispered in my ear. (~Red Phoenix, Socrates)
Socrates released his hold, pushing my face to the table. “Prepare to be fucked, Kathryn.” (~Red Phoenix, Socrates)
I let go of everything—my thoughts, my needs, even the discomfort of kneeling on the hard floor—concentrating solely on being a vessel of pleasure. (~Red Phoenix, Socrates)
He turned it on and my insides vibrated from deep within my core.
I smiled and then blushed. It was very stimulating.
“I wish to partake of that vibration,” he replied huskily. (~Red Phoenix, Socrates)
Could I come a third time? I didn’t think so, but Socrates was determined to prove me wrong.
I groaned when his fingers sought entrance into my opening again. (~Red Phoenix, Socrates)
It was erotic—his drinking from my body and then the sharing of it through our kiss. (~Red Phoenix, Socrates)
I shivered, knowing the extensive number of toys he had lined up for me. I wondered which I would enjoy and which I might grow to fear. (~Red Phoenix, Socrates)
He fisted my hair, pulling my head back and kissing my forehead as he rammed himself deep inside. “Now you will feel the strength of my insatiable need.” (~Red Phoenix, Socrates)

Teasers for Socrates by Red Phoenix

I plan to publish it the end of January - Yum!
Kathryn is 49, curvy and curious.
Socrates is a Spanish Dom who uses his online site to educate people about the BDSM lifestyle.
Quotes from the upcoming novelette:
"A man who lacks honor at the start will become a Master without honor once you are collared." ~Socrates (Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
I loved my ample boobs, belly and hips, and smoothed my hands over my frame appreciatively. My physique was the picture of sexuality. (~Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
I'm embarrassed to admit it now, but I totally squealed with joy when I read his answer. Yes it was childish I know, but Socrates was a popular Dominant who had a HUGE following. (~Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
I shut the curtains and lowered the volume on my computer so the neighboring apartments could not hear the depravity. (~Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
I closed my eyes, imagining Socrates sinking his teeth into the sensitive area of my throat.
(~Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
The sub cried out and then giggled. He joined in her laughter - just the sound of his low chuckle gave me butterflies. Damn, Socrates even made laughing sexy. (~Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
I whimpered when I heard his manly grunt as he finished off with a few deep, shuddering strokes. (~Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
I came to a horrible realization. By observing Socrates’ live-stream event, I had exposed myself to an aphrodisiac like no other. I was addicted... (~Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
"A Dominant does not deserve your trust until he has earned it. If he demands it from you without nurturing it first, that is a sure sign he is unworthy of your respect or service. Run, don’t walk, away." ~Socrates (Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
"It is a sub’s confidence in being a submissive—her inner joy and willingness to explore—that attracts a Dominant." ~Socrates (Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
“So I see you met, Cleo, as in Cleopatra the Ice Queen. Poor girl takes pride in starving herself - thinks it makes her better than the rest of us. All that food denial really does is make her unpleasant to be around." (~Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
What kind of preparations are we talking about, Don?
He didn’t miss a beat.
I would like you bare and clean. What that means is a full Brazilian, an enema in case your ass entices me, and zero lotion or perfume. (~Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
His command struck a chord in my soul. To let go—to simply ‘be’—was a deep-seated desire I had never openly acknowledged. (~Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
I felt his warm breath against my sex. “I love the smell of a woman. It changes as her level of arousal is heightened.” (~Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)
"This was a seductive drug. My heart was racing, my palms were sweaty – and I had never felt so alive!" (~Red Phoenix, Socrates novelette)

Red Phoenix's 2013 Year in Review: A Year of Firsts

My, how things have changed in a year...
Come with me as I take you down memory lane and we reminisce the year together ~ Red Phoenix style.

January:
I started the year by publishing His Scottish Pet: Dom of the Ages , an historical BDSM book written by the Dom's point for view - a first for me. It was a challenge, but both hubby and I really enjoyed the results. ;)

February:
In February, I wrote Brie Submits to her Master and shared the stimulating joy that can be found in the electrified touch of the Violet Wand (not to be confused by the delicious Magic Wand). ;)
March:

I finished off the month by writing one of the most popular novellas of the After Graduation series, Brie's Russian Fantasy .
April:

Best Indie Short Romance for The Erotic Adventures of Amy and Troy Best Indie Book Cover (a custom photo I created) for Brie Learns the Art of Submission Best Indie Paranormal Romance for Varick: The Reckoning

May:

I had my first ever Cherry Poppin' online book tour for Brie Learns the Art of Submission.
And Reba made my first Book Trailer. I love this sexy video!June:

I published both Brie Learns Restraint
and
My very first Sir POV, Khan: Lasting Impressions .

Not only did I publish Brie Discerns Master's Heart , but fans also raised $763 for Children's Hospital of Colorado buy purchasing the Khan POV before it went free on Amazon.
It was the first time my fans and I banded together for a good cause. Thank you for your generosity!!!
August:

It was an exciting month! I published Brie Visits Master's Italy just before I headed off to attend my first reader's conference - Authors After Dark.
I will never forget that moment when I met my fans. Oh my gosh, it was like love at first sight!

September:

I spent the entire month slaving away to give Brie an ending that would honor her and all of the characters in the series with Brie Surrenders her Heart . She was everything I hoped she would become and more.

I also attended my first ever book store signing at The Book Bar in my home state of Colorado. Thanks LK Collins!
October:

It was another busy month. I published the third of the Phoenix series, Phoenix Soars , written under my pen name, Michelle Stevens (romance with a spiritual twist).
I had the pleasure of visiting the tropics for the first time in my life when I joined my hubby on a business trip to the Virgin Islands. While there I got to go on my first color run, a bucket list item for me!

I published the entire AG series into one delicious novel, Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission .The cover was unique because it was the first time I used a fan's photo, one she shot especially for me. Christina McKenzie Gwin was the genius behind the cover, along with Viola Estella, who designed it.
AND I went to my second reader's conference, Indie Romance Convention. There I was part of my first author panel with Kallypso Masters! But the very best part of that conference was the chocolate party with fans in my hotel room. Memories...

November:

Afterwards I published the Colloring POV and included a picture of myself on the cover - squeak - another first! Brandi Rohr-Sandlin (another talented fan) designed it, and together with fans we raised another $561 for Children's Hospital of Colorado.
Christina McKenzie Gwin created a beautiful video teaser for the Brie AG novel.
December:

I published the last of of the Phoenix series, Phoenix Burning Bright . It was great fulfilling that accomplishment, as this was the series that got me started down the path of self-publishing.

I ended the year with two bucket list items. First, I had my radio cherry popped on the Eddie and Tracy Show, WLW-AM during rush hour in Cincinnati!
Here's the podcast:
http://www.amazon.com/Phoenix-Burning-Bright-ebook/dp/B00HEOY6IM
Then my web video cherry was popped on Huffington Post!
It has been a year of amazing firsts - ones I never would have imagined when I started out 2013. Thank you for being part of my journey!

Love Endures, Phoenix - The First of the Love Endures series by Michelle Stevens AKA Red Phoenix

I am thrilled to get this novella out on New Year's Eve!
The Phoenix series is one that is dear to my heart because it shares some of my greatest joys and sorrows in a fictional setting. I wrote the series to encourage others that no matter how great the loss, you can survive and every day is precious.
Love Endures continues Beth's journey as she rebuilds her life. New challenges and new joys await her. This is the perfect book to begin the new year!
Love Endures, Phoenix:
Find out what happens to Beth after the flames…
This first novelette of Phoenix's 'Love Endures' series explores Beth’s courage as she faces a new season in her life. Despite the obstacles that lie ahead, she is determined to embrace life supported by Scott’s love - a love that endures. Her journey is marked by healing, intrigue and forgiveness. However, her best friend Angie hides a terrible truth and Glenn, Scott’s longtime friend, holds challenging secrets of his own.
Extended Description:
In this continuation of the Phoenix series, Beth finds herself in new territory. Angie’s secret and Glenn’s past will test the bonds of both friendships. In the midst of rebuilding a new life with her son, Beth finds she must confront her greatest fear - facing the man who shattered her spirit. She is fated to meet this challenge with courage.
For you see, a Phoenix is destined to rise from the ashes.

Don't Drink and Drive - Ever: A Personal Message from Red Phoenix

A drunk driver hit my car which held my children inside. When I drove up to a ton of emergency vehicles and saw how serious the accident was, I struggled to breathe.
Everyone walked away from the crash. I understand how lucky we are.
If you party hearty on the holidays, I ask that you NOT drive - stay the night, designate a driver, or call a cab.
** Your life (and those you might harm/kill) is not worth driving intoxicated. **
Sincerely ~Red

Phoenix Burning Bright by Michelle Stevens AKA Red Phoenix

This series is a fictionalized version of my romance with my husband back in the 80's:
Phoenix Rising #1 (Free) Phoenix Takes Flight #2 Phoenix Soars #3 and now... Phoenix Burns Bright #4
The ending packs a punch, it is the culmination of many events in my life rolled into this one tragedy. While the event itself did not happen, the emotions behind it are very real.
It book was well received by several publishers except... they wanted me to change the ending. Well, in fact, I was told to cut off the book once the couple (hubby and I) got married.
My story is meant to have an impact - a positive one - and I am proud to offer the conclusion publishers were reluctant to embrace.
Phoenix Burning Bright (Book 4 of 4):
Before the world of Facebook, Chat Rooms and Blogs, there were online communities called Bulletin Boards…
Beth Lynn is ready to marry The Keeper, AKA Scott Reiner, the extraordinary man she met on a computer BBS. A romantic wedding, a baby and career success are all in Beth’s future. What she doesn’t know is that a tragedy is racing towards her, one that will change everything. Join Beth as she navigates this unexpected turn of events and discovers her hope in the flames.
* The fourth part of Beth’s journey is the most profound yet. The highs of life are hers to enjoy, a sexy honeymoon, the joy of a child and the success in her teaching career. Yet… she is a phoenix and her time to burn has come. She is brought to her knees by events that will ultimately define her. For you see, she is a phoenix ~ her future requires the flames.
