David Chivers is a British economist and academic specializing in the macroeconomics of growth, inequality, labor markets, and economic development. He serves as Associate Professor in the Business School at the Durham University and is also an Associate Fellow of its Institute of Advanced Study. Previously, he lectured at the University of Oxford and earned his PhD from the University of Manchester under the supervision of Keith Blackburn and Anne Villamil. His research has examined topics including poverty traps, labor mobility, inequality, and health insurance.
