Gladius and the Bartlett Trial (Gladius #1) | J.A. Paul

GLADIUS AND THE BARTLETT TRIAL is a tale that I think the target audience of MG readers will enjoy. It’s an engaging opening to a series that is a satisfying read. Check my full review to see what I thought.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes | Suzanne Collins

THE BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS AND SNAKES - Bottom line is that I did enjoy the book. It was a different point of view that tried to explain the backstory of a villain. Did it change my opinion of Snow? See my full review at www.swlothian.com to find out.

The Umbrella Academy – Netflix

THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY. Amazing. Original. Quirky. Multi-dimensional. Enthralling. Addictive. Compelling. Moody. Dark. Thrilling. So many different feelings from one body of work. My recommendation is to watch it, enjoy it, take the time to escape into it's vibrant world of vision and music.

Scoob is Ready to Sweep the World

Hi all, remember me. I can’t express how shocked I was when I realised that I haven’t posted anything on here for 6 months. I don’t know how that happened, except for things like day job, Christmas, and travelling the world (I’ll share more about that another day). Let’s hope that I can post a … Continue reading Scoob is Ready to Sweep the World →

Let’s Go Back To The Hunger Games

Katniss is an incredible protagonist. She’s humble, she’s sincere, she’s strong, she’s compassionate, she’s smart. She’s everything I’d like my daughter to look up to and learn from. I know Katniss is fictional and the product of an author’s imagination, but she’s essentially a composite of so many things a woman can be. A guiding light who can inspire girls to take charge of themselves and grab hold of life to achieve anything they want.
