Herald Story

Very nice story in the Herald today.

Just curious - our life expectancy continues to grow - what age range would you call "middle-aged" now?

Book Signing Event at MS Walk

I'm so proud of all the supporters of the MS cause who came to both the MS Walk Sarasota and the MS Walk Orlando.

So many people there with stories of the challenges they face daily with MS. Yet, the positive attitudes - the refusal to let MS define your lives. You're an inspiration to us all.

Vince Flynn

Wishing one of my favorite authors, Vince Flynn, continued success with his new book. And, more importantly, continued success in his battle against cancer.

Audiobooks

I'm wondering how much interest there is in audiobooks? I'm having one created for Visions 2012 because both my mother and mother-in-law have health issues making it nearly impossible for them to read. Do many people prefer audiobooks if you're able to read without any problems?

End of world ad - quite funny

This is hillarious, unless you drive a Ford: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=...#!

I think this demonstrates how wide-spread the knowledge is of the Mayan long count calendar ending on 12/21/12.

This commercial doesn't work unless most people have at least heard of the Mayan calendar.

Solar radiation storm sweeps over Earth

Hmmmm. Isn't a massive solar flare one of the theories out there as a possible way the world will meet it's end?

I've had some major problems with my mobile phone today - coincidence?

http://news.cnet.com/8301-11386_3-573...

The Space Weather Prediction Center publishes a map showing the reach of the solar radiation hurtling past Earth. Some flights have been rerouted to avoid the north pole.

Giveaway Program

I'd like to say thank you to everyone who entered the Giveaway program for Visions 2012: The Nostradamus Design.

I think the program was successful. There were 10 winners, and they all should be receiving their signed copies of the book in the next few days.

I'm considering doing another one soon, but would like to read any comments about the pros and cons of a second Giveaway program for the same title.
