Veronica Takes a Quiz About Time
Vanity Fair magazine reported on a CBS News poll taken earlier this year, with some really interesting questions about time, in terms of looking forward or reflecting on the past. (You’re supposed to be able to view the entire poll results on their webpage but the specific poll link didn’t work for me.) You know how much I love answering questions! And since I somehow wasn’t included in the randomly chosen group who answered the original poll, I’m taking my chance here, on some selected quest...

Beatrix Potter for Wednesday Whimsy No Bunnies!
Everyone knows Beatrix Potter wrote about rabbits, as in Peter and his family. Her mice and her kittens are nearly as famous. Even her hedgehog laundress, Mrs. Tiggywinkle! I thought today I’d feature a few of her other creatures, from my collection of figurines.
Did you know she included a few dogs in her tales? Here are Duchess with a pie, and John Joiner…
The following quotes are all from Ms. Potter, collected from various sources:
Thank goodness I was never sent to school; it would have r...

Something You Forgot to Tell Me? SFR Brigade Showcase
Once a month the Science Fiction Romance Brigade authors showcase snippets from new work, WIPs, cover reveals or other fun things. The link is here for all the participants.
This month I’m sharing an excerpt from my best selling novelStar Cruise: Marooned:
What in the seven hells had Drewson been thinking, taking off without them?
The ranger station was ominously quiet. The storm shutters were latched and the usually immaculate landscaping had become overgrown, weeds running riot, untr...

To Wear Real Clothes Or Not, Asks Guest Author Liza O’Connor
Veronica: My guest today is science fiction romance author Liza O’Connor, talking about her novel Surviving Terranue. Take it away, Liza, and tell us more about the question you’ve posed in the blog post’s title…sounds highly intriguing!
Liza: Sounds risqué, but in Tamara’s case, it’s more a question of practicalities.
Tamara is no longer corporal. She’s part of a three bonded soul, but she’s no longer technically human. Her human body was murdered six years ago. While she can manipulate bil...

Machines, Robots, Androids, Cyborgs – What’s the Difference?
Veronica: It’s my pleasure to have my friend Cara Bristol with a guest post today. We’re celebrating the release of her newest science fiction romanceStranded With the Cyborg, which is on my kindle as we speak! I always enjoy Cara’s books (hot, sexy, full of adventure….)
Cara: I was first introduced to cyborgs in Star Trek:The Next Generation with “the Borg.” The Borg were former humans who had been turned into robots through a computer interface that networked them. They acted and thought as...
