Oh and it’s now just 12 days until book 2 in the EARTH GIRL trilogy, EARTH STAR, is published in the USA by Pyr. Not that I’m obsessively counting down the days or anything…

Earth Flight UK and Commonwealth Cover Art and Details
EARTH FLIGHT, the final book in the Earth Girl trilogy, will be published in the UK and Commonwealth on 14 August 2014, and the cover art is gorgeous!
Jarra never wanted to be a celebrity. All she ever wanted was to gain some respect for the people left on Earth: the unlucky few whose immune system prevents them from portalling to other planets.
Except now she’s the most famous Earth girl in the universe – but not everyone in the universe is happy about it, nor the fact that she has found love with a norm. Jarra’s actions have repercussions that spread further than she ever could have imagined, and political unrest threatens to tear apart the delicate balance of peace between humanity’s worlds.
On top of everything, the first alien artefact ever discovered appears to be waiting for Jarra to reveal its secrets. But to do so, she must somehow find a way to leave Earth – or else the alien artefact will be lost forever. Is there a way for Jarra to travel to another planet? Or is her destiny only to look to the stars – but never to reach them?

Kirkus starred review for Earth Star
A year ago I was delighted when Kirkus Reviews gave my debut novel, Earth Girl, one of their starred reviews for books of exceptional merit. I’m stunned that the sequel, Earth Star, has also been awarded a Kirkus star.
Kirkus have this to say about Earth Star:-
“This far-future science-fiction sequel skips tired genre tropes to offer a fresh and thrilling adventure about hazardous archaeological excavation, a mystery in the sky and a potential threat to all of humanity.” “Edwards shows that speculative fiction needn’t be dystopic, conspiracy-filled or love-triangled to be riveting and satisfying.”
Earth Star is available now from Harper Voyager in the UK and Commonwealth, and will be published by Pyr on April 15th in the USA.
