No Power; Hurricane Sandy
No power at my house, on my whole block – at my sister’s house right now but won’t be here for long. Can get 0 writing done, and that includes my papers for class.
No idea how I’m getting there, the buses are going to be packed if its open at all on Monday.
The gas stations are closed – and all but packed with hundreds of people vying for gas.
This is insanity.
May have to postpone the deadline for The Immortal’s Guide once more to the middle of November or something.
Sigh.
I’m battling through this.
Keep your bite, I’m keeping mine.

Giveaway Ended & Deadline Extended!
So The Dark World‘s Giveaway on Goodreads has been completed, the winners chosen, the books shipped, and I’m still marveling at the fact that 657 people requested a copy. Mind is boggled. Still, I’m taking it all in stride.
The Immortal’s Guide, originally intended for release this Halloween has been pushed back to November 10th, simply because College and work and other activities has kept me from editing and finishing it up as I should.
The Giveaway for TIG has always been pushed back from October 30th, and is now going to be ending Nov 9th. Enough time, I think, to make it all work as it should.
That said, I’ve created new business cards and bookmarks for the books and they are as follows:

Front of bookmark.

Back of bookmark.
Keep your bite.

A Poem: The Night
In these frozen hours,
Haunting recollections beckon.
Betwixt my sheets lies absence,
Atop my breasts rests the heaviness of the night.
And I am alone.
A collection of thoughts?
Perhaps,
But their lingering finality cannot deny me of my need.
My need for another.
Perhaps.
My need for another mind.
One to pit against my own.
One to quell my recollections of a day gone.
How I need.
How I wish.
A simple being to quell the emptiness of the night.

Planning my 21st Birthday Ball
Yes, yes, looking for catering halls and/or party places that are elegant and nice more or less.
Plan to hold a book signing at the event, have the attendees dress up as their favorite Dark Creatures or favorite character of the story and whoever dresses up the best will win a free signed copy of The Immortal’s Guide and a free copy of my next up-coming novel.
I only turn 21 once, I wanted to do something fun, especially since I didn’t have a sweet sixteen.
I’m in the Long Island area and I’m currently looking for places. If you know of any, please do leave a comment?
Thanks.
Keep your bite.

Expanding Outlets and Individual Facebook Pages
So I’m on Goodreads (finally),
I’ve updated my Amazon Author Central Page,
and I’ve added separate Facebook pages for The Dark World,
and soon to be The Rather Depressing Tales of Patricia L. Bordeaux, and The Immortal’s Guide.
I’m expanding and making former maybe ideas into something much more concrete! If you’re on Goodreads, add me as a friend and maybe send me a message? I love to talk to fellow writers and people in general!
Keep your bite you lovely Creatures!

The Immortal’s Guide Blurb
When the Great Vampire dies, Xavier Delacroix is thrown into a World he barely knew only to wade through the grand mess left behind. For he must search for The Immortal’s Guide, the only book in existence that will help him realize his place in the “new” Dark World.
But he is not alone, of course. Eleanor Black still wants him, and those close to him are forced along for the journey bringing with them their own trials.
With a human to protect, a book to find, and Elite Creatures to evade, Xavier Delacroix is once again forced to find answers to the many questions that fill his disturbed mind. And he hopes, in a place not greatly changed by the one Creature he cannot hide from, that these answers reside in The Immortal’s Guide.

It’s The First Day Of October: The Immortal’s Guide is 30 Days Away!
The title of this post says it all!
I’m so excited!
I am still writing it but I’m practically done, just a matter of editing and getting someone to proofread.
Keep your bite!

Update.
The Immortal’s Guide is coming along well and as the deadline fast approaches, I’m inclined to step back and reflect on my journey writing The Dark World, how far I’ve come, and where The Immortal’s Guide takes my characters, and the apparent (and not so apparent) themes that have undoubtedly sprouted up in the time of writing both books.
I’ll be frank, I had no clear direction or outline while writing The Dark World, and to be honest I thought I’d never create one, but for The Immortal’s Guide, an outline of some sort had to be kept in mind. Themes became more apparent as the story went on, and characters, their ties became much more apparent as everything developed.
Still writing, I find myself quite busy with college and work as I mentioned in my previous post, but my love for the art has not waned in the least. I’m still writing, I’m still working, and I’m still moving to turn out the best work (to date) that I ever have.
I desire nothing less.
Keep your bite.

Awesome Feedback and College-Consumed Days
Sorry guys, since school’s started up, I haven’t had much time to update this as I would’ve liked, but I have a bit of time before I must sleep to rise early for my nine o’clock class (remind me why I made my schedule that way, again?), I decided I’d share some things that have been going on with me.
My mother’s friend told me she wanted to buy the book a few months ago. Low and behold I get a notification from facebook: it’s a reply to a status update I wrote about what I was writing.
“your book reads like a script… Very visual… Wicked.” is what the woman in question said. Isn’t that wild?
I’ve heard this same compliment everywhere, though I never tire of hearing it. “You know how to weave and craft scenes, Sheron.” “Your characters are alive, Sheron.” “Your characters are so colorful.” “It’s like I’m THERE.”
And we all know what I have to say to these compliments. Aloud, I’m all “oh wow thank you so much. I’m glad you’re enjoying it.” But in my head it’s more, “Wow. Wait till they read the next one. I’ve gotten wayyyy better at…everything.” And it’s utterly true. Scenes, settings, dialogue, even the action scenes, I’ve grown exponentially, and I can’t wait for everyone to read it. My only upset is that college (and working some weekends) takes up most of my time so that by the time I’m ready to write, it’s time for me to rest, or some other manner of livelihood must be attended to before I can even think about writing.
But I do make time where I can.
Time’s catching up to me, and I find as it does, the story gets more and more vivid, though I’m not sure at all how it’s possible.
Well, I must sleep.
Ta-Ta For Now
And
Keep your bite.
