What’s quick, fun, and free?

It’s spring break week at our house. I’m hanging out with these two beauties while they’re parents go golfing.

So, I’ll keep this QUICK.

First – heads up that if you love the Josey series, the books are now available in audio! To be clear, it’s a virtual voice,

Oh, I almost forgot!

Happy Tuesday!

As you might have noticed (I’d like to think you noticed!) there were no newsletters last week—this is what happens when I’m working on a book and suddenly I look up and say—wait. Where did the week go?

Hubby comes in around then and says, “remember me?” Poor guy.

ALL the fun stuff!

Happy Friday!

Oh, how I love Fridays in Florida. (To be fair, I love them in Minnesota, too) and I’m loving them even more with this addition of this fun hot tub!

Hubs and I dreamed of a hot tub…we did not dream about the price, however. So…he came up with a crazy idea…what about one of those inflatable hot tubs?

Not a beach day for this guy…

Happy Tuesday! Let’s start with this sweet snapshot from Sunday’s beach day with some (not all!) of my favorite people.

That’s my husband, our adorable grandson, my niece, and her friend, all huddled together building a sandcastle masterpiece. It was one of those perfect days where the world feels a little brighter, a little warmer,

How to have a warm and fuzzy Friday!

Happy Friday! I’m back from my travels, into the warmth of Florida (and it’s a gorgeous 70+ out today!)

This is a quick note because of, well, this…

But, I wanted to give you a couple of warm Friday Fuzzies…

First… This girl. Who loves her puppy. I mean seriously,

How to stay warm!

I’m in snowy North Carolina today, with these lovely people, brainstorming projects for 2026. I’m surrounded with fabulous story ideas.

As I’m writing this, I believe Minnesota is under a blizzard warning, and we’re currently brainstorming a “trapped in a snowstorm” story.

(I love a trapped in a snowstorm story…and by the way,

Some thoughts on “It is finished” and the crazy grandma…

So, as you heard on Tuesday, I was deep, deep, deep into the final chapters of the final book in the Minnesota Kingston’s series.

I love this series. It’s based on the hymn And Can It BeThat I Should Gain (by Charles Wesley) about God’s amazing love,

A little note from Sarah

Susie is in her writing cave, so she asked me to pop in and give you a little update.

Right now, she’s is hard at work writing the final installment in the Minnesota Kingstons series—and trust me, she’s not holding back with this one!

Want to know a little about the book?

Not a hardship…

I woke up to 45 degree weather all week. My fingers were too cold to write a newsletter on Tuesday. (Okay, that’s not true. I was working on a story…and was so sucked into it I looked up and it was Friday!)

I realize the 45 degrees is not a hardship. In fact, it gave me a chance to wear my wool socks and fire up my cute little fake fireplace while I write today.

Help a girl out!

Happy Valentine’s Day! I have some treats for you today (lots—so read all the way to the end!).  And a favor.

But first…a little update on the porch project. We finished one side…now to furnish the other!

Now, onto today’s fun.

First… have you met Conrad yet?
