Good Luck Wishes for The Civil Wars!
Due to the kindness of some friends, I was able to slip away to a coffee shop for a couple of hours and write. While there, a song from The Civil Wars came up on my playlist. Suddenly, I realized that it is Grammy Weekend!
I wanted to send warm wishes to The Civil Wars. Their album Barton Hollow has a special place in my heart for two reasons:
1. Because it is a fantastic! You need to check it out! Beautiful performances, solid writing, and soulful energy.
AND
2. Joy Williams is a former student of mine. I was always impressed by her drive and intelligence. This is a well-deserved honor. Good luck Joy!!

The net made a winding sound and tightened, trapping him. He had spikes through his shoulder and thigh that pinned him to the post. It looked like the net was almost cutting into his skin. He fought to breathe but managed to yell, "Ruuunnnn!"
