The Truth About Hope - May 1st Release

Just off the drawing board . . . the cover for my May 1st release, The Truth About Hope: http://www.amazon.com/Truth-About-Hop...

Who is Hope Wilson?

Is she the girl her former hometown thinks she is? Or the girl Luke Carter once loved—and maybe still does?

When Hope returns to Canyon Creek, Texas, to honor her father's last wishes, there's only one person on her mind. Her high school sweetheart, Luke. The boy she lied to when she had to leave Canyon Creek as a teen, finding it easier to hide what she really felt than deal with the grief of loss. Her father's fortune could make a big difference to Canyon Creek—but Hope finds that the townspeople have a long memory about his misdeeds. With a plan to make amends on his behalf, Hope learns the truth about herself. And the truth about love.

Note of Appreciation to the YRP K-9 Unit, Constable Jim Hilton and Max

I am very grateful to Constable Jim Hilton, his explosives devices detection dog, Max, and the York Regional Police K-9 Unit for helping me with research for my upcoming trilogy.

K-9 handlers and their dogs face some of the greatest dangers in policing. My sincere thanks to them and all other police officers for all that they do to keep us safe.

Author Interviews with Brenda Novak, Tara Taylor Quinn and More

If you are interested in learning a little about your favorite authors, please visit the Author Interview page of my website: www.kate-james.com.

Featured authors include:

Tara Taylor Quinn: An author of more than 65 novels, in twenty languages, Tara Taylor Quinn is a USA Today bestseller with more than seven million copies sold. Known for delivering deeply emotional and psychologically compelling novels, Tara won the Reader’s Choice Award, is a four time finalist for the RWA Rita Award, a multiple finalist for the Reviewer’s Choice Award, the Bookseller’s Best Award, and has appeared often on local and national TV including CBS Sunday Morning.

Read Tara's interview at: http://www.kate-james.com/author-inte...

Brenda Novak: New York Times & USA Today Bestselling Author Brenda Novak is the author of more than fifty books. A four-time Rita nominee, she has won many awards, including the National Reader’s Choice, the Bookseller’s Best, the Book Buyer’s Best, the Daphne, and the Holt Medallion. She also runs an annual on-line auction for diabetes research every May at http://www.brendanovak.com/ (her youngest son has this disease).

Read Brenda's interview at: http://www.kate-james.com/author-inte...

Elizabeth Heiter: Elizabeth Heiter likes her suspense to feature strong heroines, chilling villains, psychological twists, and a little bit (or a lot!) of romance. Her research has taken her into the minds of serial killers, through murder investigations, and onto the FBI Academy’s shooting range.

Her debut novel, Hunted, was called a “fast paced and thrilling start to a new series” by Fresh Fiction. Bookreporter said it “grabs readers from the first page . . . Heiter has hit a high note right at the start of her writing career!”

Read Elizabeth's interview at: http://www.kate-james.com/author-inte...

Rula Sinara: Rula Sinara is a contemporary romance author and compulsive reader of both fiction and non-fiction. Romances of any genre are at the top of her list of favorite things, along with coffee, chocolate, organic gardening, wildlife (including bugs and reptiles), a quiet beach full of shells, and her family. She states that leaving the bustling burbs and an established career for life near the base of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains with her family and zany labradoodles was the best decision she ever made. Exploring the outdoors and connecting with nature was an important part of her childhood and something she didn't want her three boys to miss out on. Now that she is writing for Harlequin Heartwarming, Rula feels her heart is truly home.

Catching Up

Spring has finally arrived, even if the temperatures are still below seasonal norms. At least all the snow if finally gone, and I am happy to see my Snowdrops and Daffodils blooming.

I am grateful for all the support and positive feedback I continue to receive for Silver Linings . Entertaining people with my writing is a dream come true! I am thrilled when readers tell me they enjoyed Silver Linings and ask when my next novel is coming out. The good news is that my next novel will be released later this year by Harlequin.

It has been an exciting start to 2014, as I have the great pleasure of working with my editor, the amazing Paula Eykelhof, on my first book for Harlequin Heartwarming: A Child's Christmas . My second Harlequin book proposal has also been accepted, and the manuscript is well underway.

I am thrilled to be part of the Harlequin family. Everyone has been wonderfully welcoming and supportive, and I am enjoying getting to know some other Harlequin authors. In fact, if you visit my Author Interviews page on my website at www.kate-james.com, you will see an interview with one of my favorite authors, New York Times & USA Today Bestselling Author Brenda Novak.

The support, encouragement and feedback I have been receiving for my writing from so many people is a tremendous motivator, and much appreciated. Heartfelt thanks to everyone!
