Free Today!

StoneBearers: The Gift and Burnt Children are free today! Check them out on Amazon.

Stone Bearers: The Gift

"My name is Constance and this story starts the day I was ripped apart."

Caught in a battle between two supernatural forces, five junior high students are killed. But Constance, Jonathan, Avery, Maria, and Danielle return from the dead -- and they've changed.

They each carry a piece of a soul stone and with it they have extraordinary powers. Now they can summon weapons from thin air and even start fires with their minds. With these powers comes a connection they never wanted, and coming back from the dead hasn't wiped away the grudges between them. When one of them loses their mind to the power, they are soon caught in a battle against themselves and an enemy that wants to make sure that this time they stay dead.

Stone Bearers: The Gift is the first in a new Middle Grade series.

Burnt Children

In Meli, if you're born with the wrong magic the Purifiers rip it out. They'll etch a black flame into your skin, labeling you a Burnt Child. Elaria is one of those Burnt Children.

She's not allowed to handle magical items and the only thing she can do is work with dangerous rokas stones that are likely to explode at any moment. But Elaria has a secret. She can see magic.

This rare ability draws Elaria to a strange locket that holds a dangerous mystery surrounding the leader of the Purifiers and a conspiracy that could change all of Meli. Soon, Elaria is hunted by Purifiers, befriended by a murderer, and haunted by the ghost of the very woman who doomed the Burnt Children fifty years ago.

All Elaria wants is to find a place to belong. But with a strange power growing inside of her, Elaria realizes she must choose between saving herself or saving the world.

Zeros

I love animation. Just have to say that and I especially love inspirational animation. So here is an animation that I adore.

Update on the Book Front

Sorry that it's been a while since I've updated. I've been very busy, but with lots of projects. As I delved into more of my projects, I came to several realization. The first is that it would do well to separate my MG books from my YA books. So I'll be putting them under separate names. The names will be close together and you'll be able to find them on this site, it'll mostly will just be a way for readers to easily separate one form the other.

The next is that the next books won't be released until next year. The writing has been slow going and I decided I want to take my time on developing the books. Also, because I'm writing on several books at once I can't say when one book will be finished. So to be on the safe side, I'm just going to say that the next books will be released in 2013, but the bonus is that there will be multiple books coming out.

I think that's it for now. Until next time.

Chronicle and Print Books

Yesterday I went to see the movie, Chronicle in theaters. It's a movie that focuses on three teen boys who find a mysterious artifact in a cave, which gives them the power to move things with their minds. It was great! I was completely surprise just how much I liked it. All three characters were well developed and it explained pretty well why the main character is recording everything. One of the things I liked the best was how it showed pretty realistically what most teen boys would do if they had this sort of power. I definitely recommend it.  Here's a you tube video.

Besides, that, if you look to the side you will see I've finished my PP project so I'll be moving on to the next ones. I'm also preparing to get Stone Bearers: The Gift ready for print. So look out for that as well.

New Review on SB:TG and Writing

First off, I received a wonderful review from Kathy at Literary R&R. Please check it out - Kathy Reviews Stone Bearers: The Gift.

On a different note, my new job has been taking a lot more out of me than I thought it would, so I decided to pace myself a little better. So my writing has slowed down quite a bit, which can be seen by the progress bars on the side. I plan to get the books and shorts out as soon as time will allow. I've been trying to write an hour everyday, which sometimes work and sometimes doesn't and I plan to write even more on the weekend. Still, it's pretty slow going at the moment.

I'll be updating the progress bars as I go. I'm currently working on a project that isn't listed on the progress bars since it is a private project, so that is where most of the writing has been going. I hope to finish that this weekend and then move on to the Stone Bearers short story I plan to put out. That's my note of how the writing is going.

Besides that, I'm taking art lessons and they are going well. Maybe one day I'll even be good enough to do my own book covers. *laughs* I can dream.
