5. Special Trivia about your Heroine – The name for my heroine came from a lovely reader, Jennifer Zeffer. I’ve had the opportunity to meet Jennifer in person twice and she’s an absolute delight. She’s jokingly mentioned several times that she’d like to hook up with one of my alpha male heroes, so…I made it happen!
6. Favorite Part of your Book – Actually, my favorite part isn’t a scene as much as the evolution of the heroine from the beginning of the book to the end. I love watching her discover this hidden strength she didn’t know she possessed.
7. On a scale of 1 (mild fanning yourself) to 10 (someone bring the towels, an iced drink and fan), how hot is your book? This story is an 11. Seriously. I couldn’t get them out of the bedroom!
8. Is your novella part of a series? Yes, it’s the first book in a brand new series called Big Easy. The stories revolve around a rather eclectic family that lives in New Orleans. I’d started what I intended to be the first book in the series, Full Position, several months ago, but when the opportunity to participate in Midnight Ink came up, I did a wee bit of reorganizing and revising. I must admit I love the way this series is shaping up.
9. How is your novella connected to the others in Midnight Ink – Each of us needed a connection to the tattoo shop, Midnight Ink. For me, it was easy. My hero, Caliph, was born to be a tattoo artist. As such, I had the opportunity to bring in artists from the other stories, which meant working closely with Carrie Ann Ryan and Eden Bradley. Such a hardship, right? I love my life. lol
10. What was your favorite part about working with the ladies of Midnight Ink. – The laughter. The group emails that flew around between us were hilarious. I frequently snuck my iPhone out at my EDJ just to read the emails, while trying hard not to giggle.

6. Favorite Part of your Book: Oddly enough, Shea’s mother. If you’ve read the book, you know I have issues LOL.

8. Is your novella part of a series? Yes! It’s the prequel to my Montgomery Ink series!! I cannot wait for you guys to try it.
9. How is your novella connected to the others in Midnight Ink: Ack! Shep was the mentor for PG’s hero. He also plays a major role in Jayne’s novella and did some tattoos in that one. He’s Caliph’s (Mari Carr’s hero) best friend so he’s in that. Um…Shep gets around with ink. What can I say? LOL
10. What was your favorite part about working with the ladies of Midnight Ink. These women freaking rock. I got to go crazy in a novella, write about ink, and find out how creative these ladies are. So freaking happy they invited me!

She’s been a dedicated artist ever since, going to Italy to study art, to Japan to study the art of tattoo. She now refuses to tattoo a band logo on anyone!
6. Favorite Part of your Book: I actually really love the first time Finn and Rosie meet and negotiate the terms of their kink play. Their interaction tells a lot about who they are—and about the sizzling chemistry between them! He’s big and tough, and she’s maybe even tougher in some ways, so it’s an awful lot of fun to see them both brought to their knees.
7. On a scale of 1 (mild fanning yourself) to 10 (someone bring the towels, an iced drink and fan), how hot is your book? 8-9…? 9-10? There’s a lot of sex and a lot of kink…but I realize my perspective on what’s hot may be a bit warped. Hmm…I think that really does depend on the reader’s perspective. Yes, there’s a lot of sex and kink (it’s me, after all-lol!), but there’s also a deep romance and an intense connection. So…I’ll say an 8-9 on the hotness scale, but only because I have to compare it to my Midnight Playground vampire series—my kinky vamps can endure things no human possibly could, so they kind of warp my scale. Or maybe I warp my own scale…
8. Is your novella part of a series? Yes! It’s a spin-off of my Dangerous Romance series-the first book, DANGEROUSLY BOUND, will be out from Berkley Heat on April 1st.
9. How is your novella connected to the others in Midnight Ink: Lots of ins and outs. (Is it just me or did that sound dirty??) First, Rosie is a tattoo artist at the Midnight Ink shop, so she has a lot of interaction with many of the other characters. She’s probably most connected to R.G. Alexander’s TO THE BONE. Rosie and her heroine Etta are close friends, and R.G.’s hero, Christi, is her cousin, and the new owner of the shop. She also hangs out a bit at Café Bwe, the café owned by Celestine Rousseau, one of R.G’s main characters from her book POSSESS ME. In fact, Rosie tattooed Rousseau while he was possessed by Bone Daddy…but now things are getting complicated-lol! You’ll have to read TO THE BONE and POSSESS ME to get the full story-and my book DANGEROUSLY BOUND when it comes out.
10. What was your favorite part about working with the ladies of Midnight Ink. Seriously? Everything! I loved the process of creating a world with other creative minds—so much fun! Talking about characters, creating the tattoo shop, getting to exchange bits and pieces of each other’s stories…and it’s so cool seeing Rosie integrated into someone else’s story. It really brought her to life for me in a whole new way.

Actually this one is kind of romantic and–though I’m usually an author of menage and more–there are just the two of them in this one. But then again Christie is pretty creative…hmm…I’ll say 7 or 8 (one scene might be a 10 *wink*)
8. Is your novella part of a series? It is set in New Orleans in the Bone Daddy world (Possess Me and Tempt Me) I’m calling it 2.5
It will also tie in to the upcoming 3 novella anthology in the Bone Daddy series that will be coming out next year!9. How is your novella connected to the others in Midnight Ink? – Since my hero is the new owner of MI and my heroine is getting a few tattoos for her birthday, I’ll have some interactions there-the biggest will be with Eden Bradley’s tattoo artist Rosie from Dangerously Inked-she’s Christie’s cousin and Etta’s old friend from high school.
10. What was your favorite part about working with the ladies of Midnight Ink? Every part. I love these women. My least favorite part is that we can’t work together all the time. It’s been so much fun and everyone is incredibly supportive and talented!

5. Special Trivia about your Heroine Sophie is also an artist. She does beautiful pen and ink drawings of New Orleans and sells them to tourists.
6. Favorite Part of your Book The first love scene after Dec and Sophie are reunited. It’s bittersweet and nostalgic, but they’re very playful together. They’ve also consumed a decent amount of absinthe by then so their brain-to-mouth filters aren’t fully operational. 7. On a scale of 1 (mild fanning yourself) to 10 (someone bring the towels, an iced drink and fan), how hot is your book? Well, it’s New Orleans, so you’re pretty much always going to need an iced drink and fan anyway, no? Seriously, I haven’t read any of the other books yet, but I’m willing to bet this one isn’t the hottest. I’d still give it a solid seven…which is one more point than Sassy gave Declan in the book!
8. Is your novella part of a series? Not so far, but I never say never when it comes to series!
9. How is your novella connected to the others in Midnight Ink Declan got his start at Midnight Ink (as Shep Montgomery’s {Carrie Ann Ryan’s hero} apprentice) before getting a spot on a tattoo-themed reality TV show. Now, he’s back doing a guest spot to help raise money for charity…which makes him sound a little more altruistic than the diva he is.
10. What was your favorite part about working with the ladies of Midnight Ink. Probably the email loop—which has blown up my inbox and made my head spin on more than one occasion. There’s soooo much creative energy in a group like this! It’s been wonderful to work with such talented, knowledgeable and enthusiastic authors.

(He’s going to get a dose of his own medicine in Not So Over Eli!) He also got knocked out in R.G. Alexander’s Marley In Chains. As for Eli, he did a lot of volunteer work in New Orleans–construction and landscaping–to help people get back into their homes after Hurricane Katrina. He’s one of those sexy, mysterious characters who just sprang to my mind fully formed and I have no idea where he came from. (Not that I’m complaining!)
4. Name of your Heroine: Rhonda Giannetti
5. Special Trivia about your Heroine: Rhonda made out with a girl on the dance floor in Not So Tiny Tim. That’s when Bart knew he’d found The One.
6. Favorite Part of your Book: At this point, it has to be Rhonda. She’s so strong and assertive, so sure of herself and what she wants, that she won’t settle for half measures—especially from the man she plans to spend the rest of her life with. Rhonda’s the type to rip the Band-Aid off a wound in one painful jerk rather than peel it off carefully a little at a time. Poor Bart didn’t know what he was letting himself in for when he proposed to her!
7. On a scale of 1 (mild fanning yourself) to 10 (someone bring the towels, an iced drink and fan), how hot is your book? If one of my books rates less than a 10 on the heat scale, I’ve failed miserably.
8. Is your novella part of a series? Nope, but it’s a spin-off of the Smutketeers’ Kinky Christmas Carol stories.
9. How is your novella connected to the others in Midnight Ink? The only connection is that Eli has worked at Midnight Ink for years as a tattoo artist and piercer and knows some of the other artists pretty well.
10. What was your favorite part about working with the ladies of Midnight Ink? OMG, these girls are all so creative and full of energy! They made everything about this project seem more like a play date than a job. And they’re inspiring! Whoever came up with those Nike ads must have had these girls in mind—they JUST DO IT rather than sitting around chewing their nails over their stories. (Unlike some of us… *ahem*) As of this interview, my story isn’t quite done yet, but it’s coming out faster and easier, with more emotion and detail, than any story I’ve written so far, mostly because this whole world is already built for me. It’s has been a wonderful experience!

Favorite Part of your Book: I think my favorite part is a moment when they’re walking down the street together and one moment they’re having a very real moment getting to know each other, and in the next beat switch into detective mode. I think it speaks to who they both are at heart.
On a scale of 1 (mild fanning yourself) to 10 (someone bring the towels, an iced drink and fan), how hot is your book? I’m going to say a 6. There’s some really awesome BDSM action.
Is your novella part of a series? Yes! Picture Her Bound is the first installment of the Bayou Bound series, which will combine light suspense with kink.
How is your novella connected to the others in Midnight Ink? Odalia used to work the beat surrounding the shop, which was how she found it initially. Since then, she’s been heavily tattooed by the artist, Rosie, who is the heroine of Eden Bradley’s book.
What was your favorite part about working with the ladies of Midnight Ink? The emails. Oh lord, the emails. I’m pretty sure I have several hundred in my folders that run the gamut of hysterically silly to serious and down to business.
