Update on Dark Season IV: The Civil Dead
How is Dark Season IV: The Civil Dead going, you ask? Well, it's going fine, thanks! It's almost finished and I aim to have it out by Wednesday at the latest.
I was hoping it might be ready on Monday, but I've done some tinkering with it. The plot took an unexpected direction and I ended up adding a new sub-plot that I had to think about very carefully, because I didn't want to seem to be sensationalising something that is actually quite serious in real life. Dark Season: The Last Vampire available on Barnes & Noble, iTunes and more!
Okay, I hadn't really been paying attention to certain things and now I find that via Smashwords Dark Season: The Last Vampire is available on Barnes & Noble, iTunes and various other sites. This is a Good Thing and it's one of the reasons I won't be completely abandoning Smashwords in the wake of this KDP Select thing.

KDP Select finally brings some 'sales' in Germany!
The experiment with KDP Select is still only a few days old, and I'm still not entirely sure what I think about it, but it has at least done one thing: I've 'sold' copies in Germany!
I've been selling moderately in the UK and the US for a while now, but Germany had yet to fall. Now I just need some sales in Italy, Spain and France, and we're really getting going! Not that I'm holding my breath, though…

Thoughts on KDP Select after 24 hours
So The Dead and the Dying has been enrolled in the KDP Select lending program for (almost) 24 hours now. I wasn't expecting that to be enough time to form an opinion, but surprisingly I'm seeing instant results so I figure I should share.
For The Dead and the Dying, KDP Select has so far been a big success. At the moment, the number of actual sales has gone up considerably. Obviously those are because of a 'free' promotion, but it does help to get people noticing the book. I have no idea how t...
