And now for that Kiss!

“Am I crazy?” Lucas asked.

“Why?”

“I want you to fuck me. More than I’ve ever wanted anything. And I can hear you talk in my head. Once, but I heard it.” He unbuttoned the fly of his jeans and shoved the denim to the floor. “I don’t care if you glamoured me or whatever.”

He heard me? For once I wished I could read his mind. I needed to know if he truly wanted sex or the prestige of being with a vampire. I noticed the tat on his foot -- a skull, cross bones, and lightning bolts. Not what I expected, but then nothing about Lucas was what I expected. If I could speak in his mind, then we had bigger problems.

Lucas shrank back from me and shook his head. A hank of his hair fell in front of his eyes. “I get it.”

“What?” I curled my fingers under his chin. Tears shimmered in his eyes. I wanted to kiss him and get rid of whatever bothered him. Holy shit, I wanted to feel my cock so far up his ass he’d never forget who had taken him. I wanted this human for more than a food source.

“You don’t find me attractive,” he whispered. “I’m broken and you know it.”

“You’re wrong.” I captured his mouth in a kiss. I shouldn’t have. Humans could be dangerous to vampires. If there’s an attachment, feelings involved, the damn beings can walk away. We can’t. Volunteering to be a blood slave meant shit. The moment they decided to leave, the vampire could either beg for forgiveness and follow or go hungry. Yeah, I could find another human, but the others didn’t affect me like this one. I didn’t know how he thought he was broken, but I’d be damned if I was going to do anything to make him upset.

I tangled my tongue with his, commanding control of the kiss. He whimpered and clawed at the bed. I grabbed his ass and tucked him tight to my groin. Despite my jeans being in the way, his cock throbbed against mine. I broke our connection, in case I accidentally scraped him with my teeth.

Lucas scooted off the table, giving me a nudge backwards in the process. He dropped to his knees and worked the button on my pants.

“You’re cold.” He stared up at me with those mesmerizing green eyes. “I figured you’d be warm like me.” He stuck one hand behind my zipper and massaged my cock. “Guess I was wrong.”

Thursday Football Quote of the Week

I don't usually put these on here, but since I'm working on a football story, they fit. And this quote fits nicely.

"...the safety on top and Coe working him from underneath..."

Hinky.

Ten Line Tuesday ~ Football!!

Here are ten lines from the football players. Yep, they're really coming around. I love the story, just have to get more time to crunch away on them. Grin. Enjoy!

Aiden strolled up next to him and handed him his jersey. “So.”

“So.”

“You talked to him, didn’t you?” Aiden folded his arms. His helmet swung from his fingers. “The kicker.”

“Yes.” Although he told Aiden just about everything, the encounter with Ryan wasn’t on the to-be-discussed list.

“Details?” Aiden waggled his fingers. “Did you two do the nasty?”

“Enough.” Paul felt his ears burn and focused on lacing his cleats. “It’s not up for debate. You can tease me all you want, but yeah, we talked.”

“Talked.” Aiden snorted and sauntered off.

Paul blew out a long breath and tugged his jersey up over his head. If he moved his ass, he’d be able to catch the last few minutes of the Dragons’ game versus the Phoenix.

Veteran's Hop!

I thought for the hop today I'd feature an excerpt my my good friend, Wendi Zwaduk's military romance, You'll Think of Me. Cade's always been close to my heart because he's not your average romance hero. He's suffering from PTSD and struggling to fit back into the world. I thank all the men and women of the military and am so glad they are doing what they do to keep us all safe. For my giveaway, there's a copy of You'll Think of Me up for grabs. The prize is open to anyone (US and INT) who comments on the post, leaves their name and their email. Add more entries by  signing up for the newsletter. Easy! Now, let's get on with that excerpt.

The man of her dreams finally came home from the war, but is he still the man she remembers or have his demons changed him forever?

Melanie Roberts loved her best friend more than she could ever imagine, and for longer than she wants to admit. Though once lovers, she's resigned herself to being no more than his best friend and roommate. On the eve of his return from deployment in Iraq, in order to keep her heart from breaking, she decides she's moving on—after one last sexy night.

Cade Nicholson has come to a decision. As he comes home damaged in both body and soul from his latest deployment, all he wants is to find comfort in Melanie's arms. Unsure and unsteady in expressing his love to the only woman to hold his heart, he has to find a way to convince her of his true feelings.

Can two best friends overcome their demons to prove their love for one another before past decisions come back to haunt them and it’s too late?

Reader Advisory: This book contains anal and outdoor sex.

Available here!

And now for an excerpt:

“Hi,” he murmured.

She looked up and fisted his shirt in her hands as his arms enfolded her. His dark eyes sparkled as a crooked grin tugged at his lips. What was running through his mind? The heat radiating from his body kicked her senses into hyper drive. The only thought she had was finding satisfaction with Cade.

Liquid desire pooled between her legs. She shifted her hips. No, no. Restraint. If she practiced a little restraint, maybe the heat of the moment would pass. Not quite. He looked too damn enticing in casual clothes. Oh, hell, who cared about restraint? “Did I ever tell you how dead sexy you are?”

As he raised his thick brows and smirked, he rubbed her back with long, languid strokes. The creases on his forehead melted away, making him look like the Cade she remembered. Could Rhett’s comment be true? A tiny part of her hoped so. She shoved the thought aside to insulate her feelings.

“It’s been a while, Mel. Why?”

His sexy rumble turned her insides out and spurred her on. She let go of his shirt and cupped his cheeks. “You are, and I want you—right now.” She pressed her open lips to his and moaned. Kissing Cade was almost better than sex. He knew how to tease and torment her with nothing more than his tongue. He tasted like sin and smelled divine, like an outdoorsman. A girl could get lost in that much testosterone, and Melanie never wanted to be found. How had she managed to stay friends-with-benefits with him for so long after the break up?

Groaning, he wound his fingers in her hair. Her scalp tingled as he spoke against her lips. “You do know how to get a man’s attention.”

Thanks for reading, commenting and participating. I appreciate your patronage. And now for the rest of the hop sites so you can keep going!

The rest of me might have been cold, but he had my erection warmed in his grasp. I missed the heat of the living. Thank the Gods he could share his body heat.

Out today ~ Followed ~ Haven House Vampires, Book One

This story came out of a photo tag from Stephanie Burke. She loves to gift plot bunnies and I love to take her challenges. This one was from a Dolce and Gabbana advertisement. I have no idea what they were advertising, and really, looking at the picture...I didn't care. Here's a little about Followed.

And now for an excerpt!

Humans. They wanted to play hard, but the moment they got in over their heads they wanted to run away. I shouldn’t have been surprised.v Lucas seemed different. Hell, he looked different. He’d done his hair in a straight-out-of-bed look. With tattoos on his skin and liner ringing his eyes, he was sexy as hell. I’d wanted him more than I’d realized. But he had been drinking. A lot. He’d babbled about no sex and how he wanted to get laid. I felt sorry for him and so turned on. The moment I spotted Ivan and Micah, I knew exactly what they wanted.

Him. And I wasn’t about to share.

“Am I here for you to use me for sex?”

“You were,” I lied. He hadn’t been brought specifically so I could fuck him. Micah and Ivan had wanted that job, until they went berserk on the girl they’d nabbed. I didn’t want to see Lucas end up dead in the same manner -- drained and dumped by the side of the road. Left for dead because they didn’t care to get rid of the body.

WIP Wednesday... a Little Late

trebuchet / 123RF Stock Photo

It's been that kind of week. You know the kind, where no matter what you think you've gotten done, you always seem six steps back. I'm there. So here's a rundown of what I'm working on and where I've been.

The second Haven House Vampires story was turned in earlier this week. It's a MF with some biting, some sunlight and lots of sex. Yeah, I like to write about sex. Julian really wanted his story told, so there it is.

Speaking of the Vampires, tomorrow is the launch date for the first Haven House Vampire book, Followed. I'm pretty stoked. I"m going to post tomorrow with a snippet for you all to read. OH and a link in case you want to buy. :-)

I also turned in a short story for a multi-author series coming out in February or March with Changeling called Soul Debt. I wrote a flash fiction piece the story is based on so if you're following those over at the Changeling Bar and Grill Yahoo loop, then you might have seen it. It's been turned in, so we'll see what happens. But it does feature a stud named Antonio. Grin.

Lastly, the contract has been signed on Tumbling, but the name was changed to Vaulting. I like Vaulting better anyway. So look for that in or around April from Total-E-Bound.

So there you have it. I've got a couple of short stories I'm working on right now. One is a really cool multi-author idea that yours truly helped initiate. Then there are some others, so stay tuned!

Ten Line Tuesday!

Ten lines from my release coming in two days! Followed!

“Hold very still. Pretend to be dead.” The guy closest to me loosened the cuff around my ankle. A lock of his blond hair fell in his eyes, and the muscle in his jaw worked overtime. He didn’t just release me from the bond, he caressed me.

“I don’t think this one is coming around,” he said. “He’s still pale.”

One of the other men turned around. I held my breath and stared into space. Yes, I was pale. Being stuck in a room for more than twelve hours a day hunched over a computer didn’t exactly give me a chance to catch many rays.

“Too bad. I didn’t want to drain this one. He’s cute. Was.”

“I’ll dispose of him.” Ankle Man patted my shin. “I’m getting good at hiding the evidence.”

Hiding the evidence? Of what? Wait. My stomach dropped to my toes. He said something about disposing. Fuck, fuck, fuck.
