Hiranyakashibu, the younger brother of Hiranyaksha who was slain by Varaha, is keen to avenge his brother’s death. And for that he decides to empower himself with a boon from the creator.
After an intense tapasya, Hiranyakashibu has a strange request to Lord Brahma in the form of five conditions. Conditions under which he cannot be destroyed. The creator grants the asura king the boon that he seeks, much to the rakshasa’s excitement.
Hiranyakashibu goes on a rampage of the three worlds and declares himself God of all he surveys. The people begin to worship him at his behest. All, except one…
Prince Prahalad, the young son of the asura king, insists on worshipping only Mahavishnu, who is the lord of the universe. Hiranyakashibu gets so angry when his son refuses to change his mind that he orders the prince to be killed.
Lord Vishnu takes the form of Narasimha to protect his staunch devotee, Prahalad. But what about the conditions that Hiranyakashibu had laid out to Brahma while seeking a boon? Will Narasimha be able to overstep those?

Sundari Venkatraman is an indie author with more than 25 titles to her name, all bestsellers on Amazon. She has grown up on listening to stories from Indian Mythology—tales from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, stories about Ganesha, Karthikeya, Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma and more. Later, she went on to devour books in the genre, right from Rajaji’s works to Amar Chitra Katha comics that has kept her fascinated through adolescence as well as adulthood.
Recently, the author decided to come up with narratives straight out of mythology, bringing the scenes of yore alive to young minds and even the older generation who continue to be enthralled by these tales. Sundari brings you stories from the Indian Heritage that is rich in its hues, told as is, in simple English, so that young minds have an opportunity to know more about our roots.

Sundari Venkatraman is an indie author who has 31 titles (27 books & 4 collections) to her name, all Top 100 Bestsellers on Amazon India, Amazon USA, Amazon UK, Amazon Canada and Amazon Australia in both romance as well as Asian Drama categories. Her latest hot romances have all been on #1 Bestseller slot in Amazon India for over a month.
Even as a kid, Sundari absolutely loved the ‘lived happily ever after’ syndrome as she grew up reading all the fairy tales she could lay her hands on, Phantom comics, Mandrake comics and the like. It was always about good triumphing over evil and a happy end.
Soon, into her teens, Sundari switched her attention from fairy tales to Mills & Boon. While she loved reading both of these, she kept visualising what would have happened if there were similar situations happening in India; to a local hero and heroine. Her imagination took flight and she always lived in a rosy cocoon of romance over the years.
Then came the writing – a true bolt out of the blue! And Sundari Venkatraman has never looked back.

GENEROUSLY YOURSbyInderpreet Uppal
MY REVIEW
Of all the things that a writer can do, telling a story in less words, is probably the most difficult. At least, that is what I feel.
That is something Inderpreet Uppal has managed to do pretty well in her first outing as an indie author in her #ShortRead, Generously Yours.
The story is about Diya and how her life has turned empty without Viren in it. As the reader goes through the pages, the past is slowly revealed.
I must say the story is a lovely read and is really good for a first attempt. So, congratulations Inderpreet Uppal. Keep writing!
VERDICT: Do not miss this cute short fiction.
BLURB
‘Love is forever’ or so thought Diya. Shy, bookish and loving, Diya never thought she would ever need to be anything else. Her charmed life slips away from her in ways, she never imagined. Will Viren be able to sort the jumble of their lives or is it already too late? A bittersweet story of life, longing, and lasting love.
