Summer
is fast approaching and that means summer vacation. A good percentage of folks

Packing light is becoming a

probably going to leave a lot of stuff at home, but even if you don’t bring
much else on your vacation, you aren’t going to leave home without your
toothbrush. I keep a special travel toothbrush in my toiletry bag. I know a lo...

Happy REVIEWapalooza! Don't forget to enter to win a Conair MiniPRO Ceramic Straightener if you haven't already.
Some people just can’t get up
and going without coffee in the morning. I can understand. I love a good cup
while I’m getting ready, especially when I’m on vacation. I’ve gotten to the point
that when I travel, I bring my own ground coffee, simply because we’ve stayed in
so many places where they either don’t provide enough for our stay or provide
crummy coffee or instant crys...

How to Stay Healthy from Plane to Sightseeing Part 2
In Part 1 of healthy
travels, I talked about the first 7 things I do or take with me to prevent
myself from getting sick and also being healthy enough to jump off the plane
and sightsee to my heart’s content. Don’t let jet lag or a cold bug keep you
from having a good time. You spent your hard-earned money to take this trip and
allowing yourself to have to be “house”-bound for a day or more is really
lowering the value of your vacation. Here are 7 more ways to stay healthy and

Trying to fit clothing for a week or more in a carry-on can sometimes be a big challenge, especially if you have a lot of activities planned that are all over the map: hiking, sightseeing, dining out, boating, plays. How to Stay Healthy from Plane to Sightseeing Part 1
If anyone should be an expert in getting sick on a trip, it's me. it used to be that every time I went anywhere, the change in setting would result in me getting some sort of bug. Talk about having a miserable time...and what a waste of money. Saving all that time just to get there and get blasted with a sinus infection or a massive cold. Of course, I could still go sightseeing and do things, but it wasn't as much fun. In fact, I would wager it was probably only 10-20% as fun as it would ha...

Making a Summer Staycation More of a Vacation (Part 2) 5.5.12
Sometimes, you just don't have the funds to take a full-on vacation. Maybe you had to replace your roof (raises hand) or your car broke or any number of other unforseen expenses can occur and you just can't fit it into your budget. Well, just because you can't go anywhere doesn't mean you can't make the most of a staycation, just to get out of the house and see more of your own town or a neighboring one. It's better than sitting on the couch watching reruns of Supernatural (even though that...

Review: Magellan’s Essential Matte Jersey Collection - Part 2
Today, I want to tell you about
the other two pieces of the matte jersey collection I received from Magellan’s
last week. Aside from the wrap dress, I also received the Essential Matte
Jersey Twist Tank and the Matte Jersey Pants (petite size). As I said before,
Magellan’s is excellent at designing clothing for the normal traveler, because
they know that people want to look polished while also being comfortable,
something many other clothing companies don’t quite build into their designs...
