Why You Should Gt to the Airport Early

Why You Should Gt to the Airport Early
As you know, I love the airport, so much so that I don't mind getting there two hours early for my flight. I like to browse the shops and eat a meal there. I think it's fun, in the way I no longer enjoy the mall. Each airport is different and they all offer similar, yet totally different souvenirs and gifts in their shops. Of course, getting to the airport early is not just for exploring. You never know what can happen on the way there or once you arrive....

Review: Clipa Handbag Hanger

Review: Clipa Handbag HangerDo you ever go into a public restroom or a bar and have no place to put your purse? You could put it on the floor, but A) there are disgusting germs that you don’t want to end up taking with you and B) someone could easily snatch it up and run away with it. It would sure make you sad if you either lost all your money and other important stuff or you ended up with some yuck disease.

I found myself in three public restrooms in two days last week that that didn’t have...

Review: Trakdot Luggage Tracker

Review: Trakdot Luggage Tracker
Almost everyone’s had that experience where they get to their destination and head to the carousel, only to wait and wait and never see their bag show up. If they’re lucky, their luggage has just been diverted and will arrive shortly, but if they’re not, it can be lost forever. Where do those bags go? Probably the same place where one-off socks go when they don’t come out of the dryer again.

There are many things that can go wrong at the airport where your...

Are You Ready For More Innovative Travel?

I think we all are. the time has passed when we have to pack all our travel clothes in a big box with wheels or carrying a messenger bag that is a pain to get anything out of. Last week I had the opportunity to go to the Travel Goods Show in Phoenix and meet with a ton of companies. While there were a lot of brands there with traditional luggage. Sure they were fun new colors, patterns or fabrics, but at the end of the day they were the same expensive bags that you can buy everywhere. Tr...

Infographic: How to Fly With Just a Carry-On

Infographic: How to Fly With Just a Carry-On
Though you may think it impossible to fly with so little stuff, I'm here to tell you that it is totally doable. When Eric and I travel, we go with two carry-on bags (one large and one small) and a personal item. This gets us through two-week trips, though we could travel for longer with the same amount of clothing, shoes and other items, since we aren't afraid to do laundry or be seen in the same outfit more than once. Baggage fees are outrageous an...

Taking an Affordable Golf Vacation

Taking an Affordable Golf Vacation
Golf is expensive. I think this is a problem a lot of people encounter. How regular people can afford to go play almost every weekend is beyond me. Well, I found some tips on how to save on such things that I’m going to share with you now, because I like that sort of thing and I think more people should get to play golf more often and not be forced to have to skip it when they go on vacation and have the chance to play new and exciting – not to ment...

5 Affordable Destinations for Summer

Even though we are in the middle of winter, it doesn't mean that summer is any further away from us. It looks like school only has a few months to go before the kids are free to do whatever. If you still are limiting your vacation times to coincide with school breaks, then you are probably a big summer traveler. Most of us know now that summer is the most expensive time to travel, but there are some destinations that are affordable for everyone.

Travel Is Better When You Stay at a Boutique Hotel

Travel Is Better When You Stay at a Boutique Hotel
When you stay at an independent boutique hotel, your experience is very different from what you would get at a large chain hotel. Smaller hotels are designed to accommodate guests in a stylish and luxurious manner. These non-chain hotels make your travels special by offering you an intimate setting that's loaded with all the amenities you need.

Boutique hotels are popping up across the world. People choose these hotels over big brand names for...

Budget Spring Break with Kids

My new favorite word this year is Winter-vention. I'll tell you why: I am so darn sick of winter, I can't even stand it. Next week I'll be spending two days in Phoenix. It doesn't seem like a long trip, but I'm going to the Travel Goods Show to check out all the new gear and gadgets and soak up some sun, as it is 80 degrees there right now. I'm hoping those two days will get me through to Spring, or at least until we have more than one day in a week that isn't 50 or below. Heck, even 65 might...
