No Such Thing As a Great Bargain?
In order to bring readers into the Belonging world, the great folks at Carina Press have put NO SUCH THING (Belonging #1) on sale at all major e-tailers. For less than two bucks, you can check out the beginning of the Belonging journey (or if you own it, gift it to someone you love, it is the holiday season, after all).
Prices are good now until December 20th.
Buy at:
Amazon for $1.99
Barnes & Noble for $1.99
Carina Press for $1.79
Twenty-two-year-old Alessandro Silva knows that returning to tiny Perch Creek to help his foster mother was the right thing to do. With no degree and a delinquent's reputation, he's lucky to have landed a job waiting tables. But not everyone is happy he's back, and the only thing keeping his move home from being a total bust is his boss's hot brother.
Jaime Winters spent most of his life watching the world go by, first from a series of hospitals and then from behind big stacks of textbooks. Studying is easier than facing the fact that years of heart failure means he's still a virgin at twenty-three. Until the new waiter in his sister's diner awakens desires he'd long ago given up on.
The last thing Alessandro wants is to fall for someone as fragile as Jaime. And Jaime may have a new heart, but he's scared of what giving it to another person would mean. Their no-strings-attached, instructional approach to sex keeps emotion safely at bay, until a secret from Alessandro's past forces them to confront their feelings in the present...

New Belonging Covers!
Because the folks at Carina Press are amazing souls who listen to their authors' feedback, there have been a few changes with the Belonging Series.
NO SUCH THING and MAYBE THIS TIME have been blessed with gorgeous new covers!
*squee*
Yes, the original covers are nice. They have a New Adult feel to them. However, they never made me sit up and go YES! Not the way the new covers do. And even better, they match the style of FOLLOW YOU HOME's cover, which gives the trilogy a cohesive look. And I love that they now feel like they're part of a series.
These covers will start showing up across all outlets over the next two weeks, but you can get your first look here!
First up is MAYBE THIS TIME.
This one is a lot of fun. I like the sexiness of the two models (and let's face it, Donner and Ezra are hawt together!). And the club scene at the bottom is very representative of Pot O Gold, the place they first meet and spend several scenes in.
Like?
Okay, so my favorite!
I just love, love, love this next one.
Here's the new cover for NO SUCH THING:
THE BOOKS! Books are a huge part of Jaime's life, and I adore them. I also love the cuteness of the two models. There is a sense of carefree joy there. And Alessandro actually looks like he could be from South America! Win!

Cover Reveal: Getting It Right (Restoration #1)
So I've mentioned on Twitter than I have both the brand-spanking new cover for GETTING IT RIGHT (Restoration #1), as well as two brand new, beautiful covers for NO SUCH THING and MAYBE THIS TIME.
The reason for new NST and MTT covers is that Carina wanted to rebrand the Belonging series. We wanted to give the trilogy a uniform look, so the new covers are in the style of STAND BY YOU. And I adore them. Absolutely freaking adore them. Especially NST.
And since I have three new covers to show off, I figured why do it all at once? I don't want to overwhelm everyone with all the pretty, so I'll do it over the next few days.
First up is GETTING IT RIGHT. For those of you who don't know, this is Tag's book. We met him in both MTT and SBY, and readers have been asking if he'll get his own book. And yes, he is. GIR begins a brand new trilogy, called Restoration, that is connected to Belonging but can certainly be read as a standalone. Restoration will follow an older group of friends, still in Wilmington, as the things they believed true about themselves and their lives get torn down and rebuilt.
There is no official blurb yet, so I'll leave you with a few fun tidbits:
*Tag goes my James in this one, because that's his given name.
*His hero is a detective.
*Pot O Gold is featured several times.
*Familiar faces reappear.
*There is a murder mystery.
ENJOY!
GETTING IT RIGHT releases March 16, 2015.
Pre-Order from Amazon.

Prodigal and Frozen News

So I have some news regarding my first two m/m publications, PRODIGAL and FROZEN. As of October 26, my contract for PRODIGAL expired and I chose to have my rights to that novella reverted. The same thing will happen next March when my contract for FROZEN expires.
What does that mean? It means that at some point in the very near future, PRODIGAL will go out of print. So if you've been meaning to give my supernatural romances a try, now's the time. FROZEN has a few more months of life left, but it will go out of print next spring.
Will I self-publish them? Probably. I do want to re-edit both books and quite possibly re-release them at some point next year. I've thought about doing another supernatural story set in that particular universe of demons and magic, but I have a pretty tight schedule for the next six months or so. So there's a good chance that if I re-release PRODIGAL and FROZEN, it will be alongside something new.
No promises. I have to wait for the characters to come to me.
In the meantime, Tristan and Gabe are calling my name....

Sexy Snippet: The Truth As He Knows It

Over on Twitter, I promised that if I made it to 400 followers by Saturday that I would post a sexy snippet from my upcoming release, THE TRUTH AS HE KNOWS IT. I am so freaking excited for this new book and new series. I really think you guys are going to fall in love with Noel, Shane, Tristan, and their friends. Especially Tristan.
So Happy Halloween, and enjoy the start of Shane and Noel's first date.
(Warning: adult language ahead.)
#*#
Blood pulsed into Noel’s cock. He couldn’t stop his hard-on now if he tried, and the khaki shorts he’d picked out weren’t going to hide it. “Can I ask you something?”
“Sure.” Shane’s gaze dropped below Noel’s belt, and his feral smile went absolutely lustful. “If it’s about that, then the answer is yes.”
A rumble of nervous laughter cut off Noel’s question. “It’s tangentially related.”
“Oh?”
“Are you out?”
Shane’s eyebrows jumped. “Yes. I mean, I don’t run around advertising it, but I don’t lie if someone asks. My brother knows, and so do my coworkers. The important people. Are you?”
“No.”
“But you are gay?”
“Yes, I’m gay. I just…it’s hard being a gay cop, and I’m still pretty young. Still finding my feet and my place in the department.”
“There’s already a gay cop on the force.”
“Yeah, but he’s like a decade older with a lot more experience. And rumor is he played football in college. No one’s going to give him shit about it.”
“You’re afraid they’ll give you shit.” Not even a question.
The statement of fact made Noel’s arousal dim a bit. “Yes, I am. I’ve been bullied before.”
Something in Shane’s gaze shuttered. “I get that, and I don’t want to out you, Noel.”
“What is you do want?”
Shane’s nostrils flared. He took three long strides that put him right in Noel’s personal space, and Noel fought to stay still when instinct suggested he take a step backward. Shane’s right hand landed softly on his hip. Suddenly having Shane in his home didn’t seem so strange after all. It felt absolutely right.
“I want the same thing you want,” Shane whispered, silky seduction in his voice. “To find out what you taste like.”
Noel’s heart skipped. “I know what I taste like.”
Shane’s lips twitched. “Let me rephrase then. I want to know—”
Noel gave him what he wanted. He had no intent with the kiss, other than the action itself. Grabbing Shane and hauling his hard, lean body close, hips to hips, had the added benefit of allowing Noel to wrap his hand around the back of Shane’s neck. No softness. No exploration. Only two mouths demanding inside the other, and goddamn Shane tasted good. Mint and spice and everything nice.
Shane thrust his tongue into his mouth, licking, exploring, while hands plucked at Noel’s waistband. Beneath. Cool fingers met skin, and Noel shivered. His cock pulsed with want, and while he hadn’t expected their date to start with sex—end with, hell yes—he wasn’t going to say no to eating dessert before dinner. Shane directed him backward a few steps, and then Noel’s back hit the wall. Shane crowded into him, surrounding him, their hard cocks pressed close together. Noel rocked his hips, the friction sending happy signals to all nerve endings. Shane bit his lower lip.
Noel made a helpless, needy noise, because he fucking loved that, so Shane bit again. Noel tugged Shane’s head to the side and attacked his neck, licking and tasting the smooth skin that still smelled vaguely of shaving cream. Shane sighed, fingers digging into Noel’s hips, until Noel found a spot low on his neck that made Shane gasp. He played with that spot, teasing it with his lips and tongue, enjoying the various sounds Shane made. The way Shane thrust his hips, rubbing their cocks together, and there were too damned many clothes in the way.

Happy Book Birthday to Romy & Brendan!
AVAILABLE NOW!!!
Three months after his rescue from an abusive boyfriend, twenty-two-year-old Romy Myers has landed his first legitimate job—bussing tables at his friend’s new coffee shop. The job has brought him some stability after years of abuse have left him feeling damaged and broken. He's working hard on his panic and social anxiety, and those things are often tempered by the big, burly presence of Brendan Walker.
From the moment ex-football player Brendan helped rescue Romy from his ex’s abuse, he's wanted to protect him. And he does, from a distance, with joking text messages, a new gym routine to toughen him up and a genuine friendship. So far it's been easy—but Brendan's feelings aren't just friendly anymore...
When an argument spirals out of control, a hot and heavy make-out session causes Romy’s friendship with supposedly straight Brendan to reach a new level. The last thing Romy wants is to fall for another guy who could potentially shatter him, but Brendan also wakes up a part of him he thought had been destroyed by violence—his heart.

PARTY FAVORS: A Cost of Repairs Short Story
I've been promising this for months, and it's finally here! PARTY FAVORS is set post-ACTS OF FAITH and pre-FOUNDATION OF TRUST, and it tells the tale of David and Schuyler's impromptu post-wedding bachelor party for Samuel Briggs and Rey King. There's a stripper (who gets his own book next year!), a perverted party game, and an unexpected gift. And sex.
Of course there's sex.
Click on the cover for a link to the pdf file in Dropbox. You can read it directly, or download the file.
Enjoy!

Cover Art: The Truth As He Knows It
I am practically running in circles, I am so in love with this cover. It is everything I wanted and more, and I adore it. It's sexy, it's symbolic, and the guys are stunningly perfect for Shane and Noel. This beautiful book is the one that made my editor ugly cry. It releases February 10, 2015. I'll add pre-order links when there are some.
Lies are the chains that keep you weighed down at rock bottom. Perspectives, Book 1 Officer Noel Carlson isn’t out to anyone in small-town Stratton, Pennsylvania, only to distant friends and family, so a relationship is out of the question. That doesn’t stop him from wanting one, though. When a night-shift call brings him face to thonged butt with a hired stripper whose girl-party gig went terribly wrong, Noel takes pity on the guy and lets him go. But he can’t get the encounter out of his mind. Shane has big-time debts to repay, especially to the brother who sacrificed nearly everything for him. His two jobs, in a deli and as a stripper, leave him no time for a social life. But a non-date of hot sex and takeout food with Noel? He can squeeze that in. The bond they form is stronger than either expected or wanted. Especially since the step Shane’s about to take to put his brother—and his soul—back in the black isn’t quite legal. And he never calculated just how much his determination to make things right will cost him in the end.
Warning: This book contains a closeted cop who’s looking for love, an indebted stripper who doesn’t believe he’s worthy, and a tasteful abundance of dirty guy sex. Also contains references to past physical abuse some readers may find disturbing.
Author’s Note: Perspectives is a spin-off from my Cost of Repairs series, featuring familiar settings and a few brand-new characters.

Interview with Author Jamie Lake
So for something new and different here at Small Towns, Big Love, I am posting an author interview with fellow m/m author Jamie Lake, who is promoting her Bad Boy romance series, beginning with Bad Boy: Naughty at Night.
Bad Boy: Naughty at Night is not like most m/m books, how would you describe it? I certainly hope it’s not like most m/m books. I really want my readers to experience something a little different and yet at the same time, has all the great things we love about m/m books. I mean, when’s the last time you read about a teacher who is moonlighting as a nude massage therapist for men?
It’s not easy to keep sex scenes interesting when so many readers have read them before. What did you do to keep yours fresh? Well, one of things I’ve done is I’ve taken notes about things I’ve fantasized about to spark ideas and I also work really hard with an editor to make those scenes come to life in ways that hopefully keep my readers turning the pages.
Straddling between the world of nude massage and prostitution is not an easy balance, how did you do this? It’s not easy at all but I just made sure that my character Peter, didn’t cross the line into going all the way with any of his clients. It’s not a slut after all and especially after he meets a great guy and begins a relationship with someone who has no idea he’s doing this on the side, he personally, doesn’t want to go all the way.
This is actually a 5-part series, what can readers expect in each book? Each book hopefully is more and more exciting as we see Peter’s world fall apart and what it’s like when his school, his family, the world finds out what he’s been doing all along. You feel sorry for him but at the same time, you root for him to get himself out of the situation.
Where can we get a copy of Bad Boy? You can get it exclusively on Amazon http://bit.ly/BADBOYNOVEL1 or email me at JamieLakeNovels AT gmail.
Thanks for stopping by, Jamie!
