Escape to Ireland While Sitting on Your Couch
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
The Ex Lottery (e-book version) is free from March 17-21st on Amazon.
On this very social holiday, we find ourselves isolated as we self-quarantine and practice social distancing in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 disease. Books provide a great escape.
If you enjoy contemporary romance, I'm offering the e-book of my novel The Ex Lottery, a modern Irish fairytale and winner of three contemporary romance awards, for free on Amazon March 17-21.

The Ex Lottery Is Now An Audiobook
The Ex Lottery, the winner of three first-place contemporary romance awards, is now available as an audiobook. The narrator is Eva Kaminsky who has recorded over 150 books and been nominated for the AUDIE award in romance. I took my time picking the perfect narrator. Eva does an amazing job, and you will fall in love with her Irish accents.
Want to listen to the audiobook for free? Go to audible link below and try it with a free thirty-day trial of Audible. Please leave a review after you listen. I'd love to hear your opinions on the audiobook and the written version.

Kindle Giveaway to Celebrate "Labor" Day
Enjoy a beach read this Labor Day Weekend for free. The Ex Lottery is free on Amazon from Sept 1-5th, celebrating my daughter's "labor." I'm a grandmother and since the idea for The Ex Lottery arose after my daughter gave up on love only to find true love and now to give me my first granddaughter, it seemed appropriate. By the way, my granddaughter is perfect and I'm not biased at all. I may be guilty of posting a picture or two of my granddaughter on my author Facebook page from time-to-time.
Hope you'll read The Ex Lottery and write a review on Amazon and Goodreads. I promise to get back to work on my next novel as soon as I can put down the baby long enough to start typing. Enjoy!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers of the world. Hope you spend the day with your children and your evening with a wonderful book and a glass of wine. My daughter gave me flowers, my son gave me fudge, and my Kindle is filled with romance novels. My life is basically perfect.

The Lottery Dream
Someone won the Mega Millions Lottery this week. $172 million. I wasn't me. :)
Only my character in "The Ex Lottery" was that lucky.
What would you do with millions? Would you be practical or blow the money on a wild dream? Is that dream a story waiting to be told? It's amazing how many of us are storytellers when we let something as simple as a piece of paper with random numbers spark our imagination. I like to think that the losing lottery ticket I bought that sparked Tory's story in "The Ex Lottery" was worth every penny.
Well, if one of my readers won, enjoy your dream—and maybe, just maybe, you should write your story.

Top 10 Bestseller List
This weekend, "The Ex Lottery" ranked in the top ten of Amazon's free Kindle Bestseller List for Contemporary Romance Fiction. The novel is also ranked in the top 50 in the Kindle free store.
Today is the last day of the free Kindle promotion for "The Ex Lottery" so I hope you'll download the ebook and read it——and review it. :)
Yes, I know, a free promotion means I don't make money this weekend, and some authors and publishers frown upon such an offer. But I actually find myself downloading free books from authors I would have never read without such a promotion. After such an introduction, I read more of their novels. I'm actually excited that thousands of people are now reading my book. Plus, if you like it, maybe you'll tell your friends. My own personal happily-ever-after.
"The Ex Lottery" is about a woman who gives up on love then wins the lottery using the dates her ex-boyfriends dumped her. She travels to Ireland where she must decide if the men chasing her are in it for love or are they simply romancing the numbers.
"The Ex Lottery" won First Place in Contemporary Romance in the Chick Lit Writers' Get Your Stiletto in the Door Contest. And I've received the following reviews too, but I want to hear from romance readers everywhere.
A review from a Writer's Digest Contest stated “The Ex Lottery is a charming and lively contemporary romance… Tory is a beautifully crafted and compelling character, a woman who has been bruised by love in many ways but remains, at the core, optimistic, even if it takes her a while to get there. The secondary characters are well-drawn and fully realized in their own rights, and Shane is a really wonderfully sexy love interest… Overall, a very strong book and this author has a bright future in contemporary romance," Judge, 22nd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards
Kirkus Reviews called it "A light, uplifting romance that's equal parts comedy, fairy tale and travelogue." Kirkus Reviews also featured the review in its magazine.
So if you need a light, fun modern Irish fairy tale to read for the holidays, I hope you'll add my book to your list. And I hope you enjoy happily-ever-after as much as I do.
