Miracle Molly

If you've been wondering why I haven't put out a book in a while, it's because I've been working on Miracle Molly since late December, but I finally finished the rough draft, and it's a long one. It's roughly twice as long as Wizard Born, and I hope that ruthless revision will trim it down to a perfect size. It's funny, because it didn't seem that long when I was writing it. I don't know how readers will perceive it, so I'd better do a good job on this next phase of the book. No fat, please. I want it lean and mean and entertaining.

Wizard Born News

Book three of the Wizard Born series is now available as a new edition, as well as book one and book two. I made a significant number of improvements, but didn't change the plot. Books four and five will get the same treatment and be ready before the end of the summer, so if you happen to recommend this series to anyone, make sure they know to get the newest version.
I'm nearly finished with the rough draft of my most recent effort, Miracle Molly, and I'll keep you posted on my progress. It's too long as of now, but I'll whip it into shape during revisions, which is always a brutal process. It's like the longest, hardest homework assignment you ever had.

Random Call

The new book, Random Call, is finished and available. Check it out and let me know what you think. It's a story of a young man who uses his computer to play a social media game, but it connects him with someone in a surprising, supernatural way.

New One!

I just finished the rough draft of my newest novel, Random Call. It's a story about a young man whose first attempt at playing a new social media game takes a wildly unexpected turn when it makes an impossible connection, one that will change everything. This book, like the one before it, started as a short story I wrote years ago, and always felt that it needed to be longer.
Well, it is, now.
I'll let you know when it's finished, which won't be for several weeks. Revisions take a lot of time, but the more passes you make through a manuscript, the better the finished product.
I want it to be awesome. I'll try my best.

Gramophone Part 2

The new book is done, and I'm really pleased with the result. Check it out when you get the chance, and let me know what you think. I feel like it's my best, so far, and I hope you do, too.

The Girl in the Gramophone

Yep, finished the rough draft today of my newest novel. I wrote this as a shorty story several years ago, but felt it would be much better in a longer format.
Plus, my short stories are too long to really fit the category, and too short to be novellas. I'm probably better off sticking with novels.
This one's not YA, by the way. It' not obscene, either, but the language is coarser and the characters are older.
Now, it's time to revise....

Sorceress 3

I finished the rough draft of Young Sorceress 3! On to the revision phase, which will be tough because this book is long, much more so than anything I've written before. That's mostly because I wanted to keep this series to three volumes, unlike Wizard Born, which ended up being five, after starting as what I believed to be a stand-alone novel.
I had a bunch of things to take care of in this last volume of Young Sorceress, stuff I'd set up in the previous books, so that's why it ended up being so long. I plan to be ruthless during revisions and cut out as much flab as I can. Lots of soul searching ahead for me.

Young Sorceress 3 and Wizard Born

I'm about halfway through with the first draft of Young Sorceress 3, and things are going smoothly so far.
I also spent some time on Wizard Born 1 and re-released it as a 3rd edition, with some added material and improvements on the prose.
I've been wanting to do this for a while, because I felt like I needed to weave in some little things to add continuity to the entire series. There are things that I thought of in the later books that never occurred to me in book 1, but that's understandable. You don't get all of your inspirations in one big package. They dribble in when they feel like it.
