The importance of Ayn Rand to the modern state of cognition
Ayn Rand aptly describes the concept, concept as a group of units united by a common denominator with particular measurements omitted. Logic, correspondingly she defined as the art of non-contradictory identification.
Observe how compatible this is with the traditional definition of truth: “A thought’s conformity to reality.”
The reason both these are so important together is because they presuppose that knowledge is exclusively the province of facts integrated into a total mental system by which information is kept in one place, and builds without contradiction as a structure like a building where one scafolding contradicting the next can only result in nothing less than total collapse.
This is precisely what has happened to the modern mind.
And also why context dropping is the chief tool of contemporary evasion. i.e. discrete reporting by Mass Media of stories as facts isolated from their context.
Her view of knowledge is at total odds with the modern view, consisting of a series of discrete floating abstractions which is what has destroyed cognitive reason in modern man. It works especially to the benefit of the Elites in our society. Not a coincidence it’s not taught in schools. For the same reasons money isn’t either.
Nevertheless, I do not think you find that equivalent at all in modern or even Greek philosophy. I could be wrong but I challenge anyone to show me where…

But that isn’t the game. There is no goal. Why isn’t experiencing the greatest mystery enough?

Trump and Tribalism
I’m not really for any candidate as the US has rigged 38 elections worldwide since post-war, most likely including our own–but I just hate Biden that much, and it’s possible there’s a rogue element to Trump that is bringing down the neo-liberal Establishment.
This is especially true with Covid, as I hope he wins in terms of getting rid of Fauci. Trump is also most likely bringing sovereignty back to nations, states and local areas, as a mass decentralization.
Trump, fake or not, controlled opposition or not, represents something completely culturally unprecedented that Marshall McLuhan saw long ago: Tribalism taking over “public objectivity” in the modern era.
